Thirteen Chimes (Prologue)

The clocktower tolls thirteen times.

Each chime is a cold whisper slicing through the fog that clings to the island's shore, an island that should not exist.

Ren's breath catches as the last bell fades into silence, replaced only by the soft rustling of dead leaves and the distant crashing of waves.

Before him, the old mansion stands untouched by time, its windows like hollow eyes watching him return.

He does not remember how he arrived.

He does not remember why.

But he knows this place.

Knows the curse that binds it.

Knows that with each toll, the world resets, and so do they.

Seven friends, trapped in a game with no end.

Each cycle steals a fragment of their souls.

Each cycle threatens to erase them entirely.

Ren's hands tremble as the fog thickens, swallowing the path behind him.

Somewhere inside the mansion, the game begins anew.

And this time, losing means something far worse than death.
