Chapter 1 - Pilot

Law & Order: SUV

Episode 1: "A New D-O-N"

TEASER

INT. SUV HEADQUARTERS – EARLY MORNING

A new sign gleams above the glass doors: SPECIAL UNIT FOR VICTIMS. The city outside is just waking up, but inside, OLIVIA BENSON (early 50s, resolute and haunted) sits alone, reading a thick dossier stamped "PROJECT TOONIFY – EYES ONLY." Her fingers tremble as she turns the pages, the sun rising behind her.

Amanda ROLLINS enters, two coffees in hand.

ROLLINS (softly):

You're here early, Cap.

BENSON:

Couldn't sleep. Not after what I read.

She slides the file across the desk. Rollins scans the first page—her brow furrows.

ROLLINS:

This is… bigger than anything we've seen.

BENSON:

It's not just about victims anymore. It's about the system. About who's pulling the strings.

ROLLINS:

So what's the plan?

BENSON:

We adapt. We fight. We survive.

ACT ONE

INT. SUV SQUAD ROOM – LATER THAT MORNING

The bullpen buzzes with activity. DETECTIVE FIN TUTUOLA reviews case files. ADA RAFAEL BARBA stands near the whiteboard, reviewing warrants. The team is smaller, leaner, but sharper than ever.

BENSON (addressing the squad):

We're not SVU anymore. We're SUV. Special Unit for Victims. Our mandate is broader—trafficking, identity theft, tech crimes, government corruption. We go where the pain is.

FIN:

So, what's first on the menu?

BENSON:

Anna Davies. Twenty-seven. Found catatonic in her apartment, clutching this.

She holds up a printout of bizarre symbols—¢¢ ciphers, hearts, arrows, numbers.

BARBA:

Looks like code.

BENSON:

It is. And it's not just graffiti. It's a message. Someone wants us to see it.

ROLLINS:

Any leads?

BENSON:

Just one. A name: Jessica Rabbit.

The squad exchanges glances.

ACT TWO

INT. SUV INTERVIEW ROOM – DAY

JESSICA RABBIT (30s, striking, with an uncanny animated quality) sits across from Benson and Rollins. Her hands tremble as she sips water.

BENSON:

Jessica, do you know Anna Davies?

Jessica hesitates, her eyes darting.

JESSICA:

She… she tried to help me. But they got to her first.

ROLLINS:

Who's "they"?

Jessica slides up her sleeve, revealing a tattoo—an intricate cipher matching Anna's note.

JESSICA:

They call themselves The Eye. They see everything. They erase people. Make them… cartoons.

Benson leans forward, her voice gentle but urgent.

BENSON:

Jessica, are you saying someone made you… like this?

Jessica nods, tears brimming.

ROLLINS:

Why target Anna?

JESSICA:

She knew too much. She tried to warn you.

Benson's phone buzzes. A text: "FOUND SOMETHING. COME NOW." – FIN.

ACT THREE

INT. ABANDONED LOFT – DAY

Fin and Barba stand over a makeshift workstation littered with hard drives, syringes, and RFID chips. A battered laptop displays a looping video: distorted faces, voices speaking in code.

FIN:

This is what Anna was working on. Encryption, voice distortion, some kind of frequency manipulation.

BARBA:

And this.

He holds up a vial of clear liquid.

BARBA:

Neurotoxin. Trace amounts—enough to confuse, not kill. Could be slipped into food, water… anything.

BENSON:

They're poisoning people. Making them easier to control.

ROLLINS:

Mind control. Like MK-Ultra.

BENSON:

No—worse. They're erasing identities. Turning victims into ghosts.

Barba's phone rings. He listens, face darkening.

BARBA:

We've got a problem. William Lewis is alive. And he wants to talk.

ACT FOUR

INT. HIGH-SECURITY HOLDING CELL – NIGHT

Benson stands outside a reinforced glass cell. Inside, WILLIAM LEWIS (50s, gaunt, eyes burning with intelligence) sits, hands folded.

LEWIS (smirking):

Detective Benson. Or should I say… Captain?

BENSON (cold):

You're not here to gloat. You're here because you know about Project Toonify.

LEWIS:

I know more than that. I know who runs it. I know why you're pregnant.

Benson's composure falters for a split second.

BENSON:

You're going to help us. Or you'll never see the light again.

Lewis leans forward, his voice a whisper.

LEWIS:

You want the new dawn, Olivia? You have to go through the Don.

Benson's eyes narrow.

BENSON:

Who is the Don?

Lewis smiles, enigmatic.

LEWIS:

You'll find out. But only if you're willing to break every rule you've ever sworn to uphold.

ACT FIVE

INT. SUV HEADQUARTERS – DAWN

The team gathers, battered but resolute. The city is waking up outside. Benson stands at the window, watching the sunrise.

ROLLINS:

What now?

BENSON:

Now, we fight back. We dig deeper. We find the Don. And we end this.

She turns to her team, her voice steady.

BENSON:

This isn't just a new unit. It's a new dawn. And we're not backing down.

The team nods, united.

FADE OUT.
