Chapter 28 - The Third Spiral Stirs

Also known as: Destiny Woke Up and Chose Confusion

It began with silence.

No birds.No wind.Not even a statue exploding.

Wei Long blinked.

"…That's never a good sign."

The sky felt tense, like it was holding its breath. And across the continent, in a forgotten ruin beneath an endless sea of white lotuses, someone else opened their eyes.

A girl. No older than fifteen. Hair like flowing ink. Eyes like frozen time.

She breathed in, and the petals around her shivered.

"He's active… The Second Spiral."

Her voice wasn't angry.

It was curious.

Excited.

And maybe… lonely.

Meanwhile, back at Mount Chaos...

Wei Long was trying to draw a cultivation manual.

Unfortunately, he used jam instead of ink, and a chicken walked across it.

Lin Qian stared at the sticky mess. "Is that… your new cultivation technique?"

Wei Long tilted his head. "No. But the chicken seems to have invented something."

Duan Fei sniffed the paper. "It smells like enlightenment. With strawberries."

Just then, the air rippled.

A presence approached — gentle, but vast.

It didn't knock. It didn't announce itself.

It simply was.

Wei Long turned toward the mountain path, where a figure now stood, watching.

The girl.

Young. Calm. Silent.

She took one step forward — and the trees parted. Flowers bloomed where her foot touched stone.

Wei Long blinked.

"Is this another customer or a wandering goddess?"

Lin Qian tensed. "Master… she's different."

The girl bowed. "My name is Shen Ruo. I was born beneath the Lotus Moon. I am the Third Spiral."

Everyone stared.

Duan Fei whispered, "Did… we skip the second?"

Wei Long raised a hand. "Hang on, I thought I was the Second Spiral."

Shen Ruo shook her head.

"No. You were the First Spiral's echo. You were never supposed to awaken. You broke the chain."

She stepped closer.

"And I came to see… why."

The sky rumbled. Clouds spun in a spiral pattern overhead.

Wei Long's qi stirred unconsciously — wild, unshaped, but powerful. His dumpling pot cracked. The Enlightened Radish Statue vibrated.

The two stood facing each other — one an unintentional force of broken fate… the other a child shaped by prophecy.

Wei Long sighed.

"I'm just trying to make soup."

Shen Ruo smiled.

"I think that's why you're dangerous."

She pulled something from her sleeve — a lotus-shaped seal pulsing with spiritual intent.

"This is the Spiral Seal. It can only be held by those whose existence warps destiny."

Wei Long cautiously accepted it.

Then it exploded into butterflies.

Everyone flinched.

Wei Long just blinked. "That… keeps happening."

Shen Ruo's eyes widened.

"…You absorbed it. Without trying."

Wei Long looked at the sky.

"Do I get a break now? Maybe a spiritual nap?"

No response.

Only thunder.

And a whisper from the heavens:

"The Spiral is no longer bound.Initiate the Convergence Protocol."

Somewhere far away, in the heart of an ancient sect, an elder's tea shattered in his hands.

"They've all awakened."

He turned to a wall of sealed names. One glowed:

Wei LongShen Ruo???

And one… was beginning to crack.
