...
...
Magellan had absolute confidence in his poison.
It wasn't blind arrogance; it was backed by experience.
He had served as Warden of Impel Down for years. He had dealt with everyone from lowly rookies with bounties in the millions to legends with rewards in the hundreds of millions.
None had escaped.
So, in his mind, if Rokuya chose to rush forward, he would end up soaked in venom.
And die — slowly, painfully and agonisingly.
Above, Rokuya could already tell what Magellan was thinking.
For anyone else, this might have been the end.
A guaranteed death trap.
But Rokuya wasn't just anyone; he was the one who had inherited the power of the Vampire King, Alucard.
He had no fear.
If he really wanted to, he could summon his River of Death and tear down the prison with brute force.
But there was no need for that.
Destroying Impel Down, the world's most secure prison, wasn't a wise idea.
"Hmm."
"Magellan…"
'I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed.'
Rokuya smirked.
His body reformed from the mist, solid and human-shaped once more.
Then, without hesitating for a moment, he plunged straight through the venomous waterfall.
Magellan froze for a moment.
In all his life, no one had ever dared to charge directly into his crimson venom.
Was Rokuya suicidal?
He didn't appear to be wearing any protective gear.
Magellan was the only person who truly understood the poison's corrosive power.
It had subdued some of the world's most dangerous criminals — pirates with bounties in the billions.
And yet... Rokuya ran into it as if it were nothing.
Like it was water.
As the poison coated his entire body, Magellan slowly stopped the flow.
"Tch…"
"Stubborn brat."
You'll pay for underestimating me."
Let's see you melt into a puddle of blood!"
With the poison no longer clouding his vision, Magellan could clearly see Rokuya's silhouette within the corrosive mist.
The venom hissed and burned as it ate away.
And yet…
'This is your strongest venom?'
'Hahaha… that's it?'
Through the crimson fog, Rokuya turned to look back, smiling.
Magellan narrowed his eyes.
'You won't be laughing much longer.'
To him, Rokuya was as good as dead already.
In the prison's history, no one had ever survived being hit with that much venom.
So he stood there calmly, letting his power fade.
Honestly, he was relieved.
His stomach was playing up again and he didn't have the energy for another high-stress fight.
But then…
A familiar laugh echoed from the outer corridor.
"Magellan…"
"Tell those worms up in Mariejois…"
"Enjoy your final sunrise."
'Darkness is coming.'
'When the Bell of Eternal Night tolls 800 times under the blood-red moon, the Blood Clan shall ascend the Empty Throne.'
These booming words thundered across the entire second floor of Impel Down.
From the black mist, a wave of blood bats surged forward, swarming towards the Level 1 exit.
"...?"
'He's… still alive?!'
Magellan stared in disbelief, speechless.
He couldn't fathom how Rokuya had withstood his deadliest poison.
But one thing was clear:
It was too late to stop him now.
With his ability to fly, transform and regenerate, Rokuya was no longer a target that Magellan could catch.
All Magellan could do was watch him go.
What Magellan didn't know was that…
was that something unexpected was waiting for him at the gate.
…
…
While Magellan stood stunned on the second floor...
On the first floor—
— a swarm of blood bats swooped in through the corridor and scattered as Rokuya slowly emerged from their midst.
'Rebirth really is a wonderful thing.'
'Besides, I just devoured the blood and souls of over a hundred guards.'
'The River of Death has grown even stronger. I'd say this jailbreak was worth it."
Rokuya smiled faintly.
In Hellsing, Alucard could absorb life energy and resurrect endlessly.
The more souls he consumed, the more times he could be revived.
So, naturally, Magellan's ultimate poison was ineffective.
If death meant nothing, what could poison achieve?
As Rokuya was about to leave—
"Huh?"
"Well, what do we have here?"
Someone still thinks they can stop me?"
He looked up, his enhanced vision piercing through the corridor.
At the gate stood two women.
One had curly blonde hair, white candle-shaped earrings and was wearing a tight pink leather outfit with flared trousers. Her fringe covered her eyes.
It was Sadi, the twisted and sadistic Head Jailer of Impel Down.
She loved nothing more than hearing people scream.
Beside her stood another woman.
She was elegant, tall and poised.
She wore reddish-brown glasses and a tilted cap that covered one eye, and had long, wavy blonde hair.
This was none other than Domino, the deputy warden.
In the original story, she had been temporarily petrified by Boa Hancock's powers during a security check, allowing Luffy to sneak into the lower levels.
"Hmph."
'If I just let you walk out...'
What would that say about Impel Down's reputation?!'
Sadi barked, her face stern.
Of course, she already knew that there had been a jailbreak on the lower floors.
She had stayed behind to act as a final line of defence, hoping to catch the fugitive if they made it this far.
She never expected it would be Rokuya.
After all, she was the one who had personally registered him into the prison system all those years ago.
'Wait... it's you?!'
'You escaped from Magellan?'
Sadi blurted out.
She was more shocked by the idea that someone had gotten past Warden Magellan — the strongest man in Impel Down — than by the jailbreak itself.
After the alarms sounded, everyone knew that Magellan had gone to deal with it personally.
Yet here stood Rokuya before them, unharmed.
Not a scratch on him.
Fully recovered.
"Magellan, huh?"
"Don't worry about him.
'But now that you two have come to me...'
'Let's just say I won't be holding back.'
Rokuya grinned.
Two women. Tight uniforms. Strong physiques.
Surprisingly, both were still pure.
He hadn't fully indulged in his vampire abilities yet.
But now seemed like the perfect time.
Virgins become vampires.
Everyone else becomes a ghoul.
Tonight, his bloodline would grow.
