Chapter 6 - The doctors guilt

Romeo was now known as one of the best young doctors in the city—precise, calm, focused. Patients trusted his hands. Nurses admired his gentleness. He had a wife, a career, and a future that looked perfect on paper.

But something always felt… off.

He couldn't name it. Not out loud. But sometimes, in the quietest parts of his day—between surgeries or during late-night walks—he'd feel it. That strange tug. Like something important had been left behind.

One night, while scrolling through news updates, a headline caught his eye.

> "Juliet: The Rebel Designer Returns with a Stormy Winter Collection."

He clicked.

And there she was.

Older, sharper, more powerful.

But still Juliet.

Something twisted in his chest.

He zoomed in on the photo. Her face had changed, matured. But her eyes… those were still the same. Wild. Untamed. Full of fight.

And beneath it all, he saw something else—something only someone who missed it once could see.

Pain.

He remembered now.

The stairwell. The confession. Her words: "I like you."

He had walked away like it meant nothing.

At the time, it did mean nothing.

But now… it meant everything.

He had loved others. But never like that. Never with that pure, stubborn intensity.

He had been loved—but never the way Juliet did. Quietly. Fiercely. Without conditions.

And the guilt began to grow.

He wondered what would've happened if he'd just… listened.

Said something.

Turned back.

But he never did.

And now, years later, Romeo realized the truth.

He was married to the right woman on paper.

But Juliet had always been the girl his soul never stopped searching for.
