Chapter 2 - Stabbed

CHAP 1

On a path under the beautiful night sky illuminated by the countless stars, a neatly dressed man in his mid forties holding a lantern walk's with two guards by his side heading towards a pavilion.

The badge worn on the chest of each of the guards showed they were early peak level martial masters, indicated by a triangle and a horizontal line underneath it.

As they approach the pavilion a dark shadowy figure suddenly appears behind the man.

Before the two guards could even react this figure covers the mouth of the man with his right hand filled with scars and with his left also filled with scars he rips out the wind pipe of the man, spraying blood everywhere.

The man struggles painfully but could do nothing but stare up at the figures face in the midst of the stars as he slowly fades away.

By the time the two guards could react their heads were already rolling on the ground with their eyes wide open as their bodies slowly drop to the ground.

They didn't even realize when they were killed.

Not too long after people find their corpses and an alarm is raised, the bells are rang.

But they do not plan on going after the killer.

Fear is vividly written on the faces and bodies of even those sounding the alarms as their hands and legs quiver.

Rather than going after the killer, what was heard was...

"Sa...Sangdaejong... Sangdaejeong is in the Murim Alliance headquarters, run for your lives!! The Chief advisor has been killed!"

This continues for a while as the murim alliance becomes chaotic for a short while with people running everywhere trying to locate shelter.

Numerous doors are head shut and everywhere suddenly becomes silent, it was like a grave yard, nothing could be heard except the sound of the wind.

All this chaos and fear for one man, for a man who had long left that area after accomplishing his mission.

P.O.V. David

I majestically take a stroll through the Heavenly Demonic Cult.

It was not common that I was out in the open for everyone to see.

By every step I take, as long as there was someone near, they would drop on their knees, few in admiration but most in fear, why?

Well for one, at this moment my shoes and hands are soaked in blood, making every step i take leave a print of blood behind.

But thats not really it.

By now it should be known by all within the cult that I went to assassinate the Chief Advisor of the murim alliance, a late peak martial master.

Walking into the Murim Alliance Headquaters, killing a key figure and coming out without even so much as a strand of hair dropped.

I must say, I'm quite impressive. I boast to myself.

Many know me as...

"Oh if it is isn't Mr Sangdaejong, the Death God, Mr King of Death, are you finally back from your trip?" The cult leader teases me as I walk into her palace.

She sits majestically on her throne with her long red hair around her shoulders.

So much elegance I couldn't help but smile.

Beside the cult leader the cults advisor stood in place.

"Oh great Demon God, you flatter me too much, I am unworthy of such grace" I return the tease with a smile as I bow slightly.

A sword comes flying at me at incredible speed planting itself in the hard ground behind me as i tilted my head a little to dodge it.

"Oh great Demon Lord, if you wanted my head you should have informed me, I would have graciously served it to you on a platter alongside chicken breasts if you may." I tease her futher my smile even more annoying.

By this time she was fuming, her cheeks red, ohh how can I not enjoy this.

"Umm I would excuse myself." The Chief advisor quickly scurries out.

"You scared the poor old man" I say to the lady on the seat.

"You didn't have to kill him David." The cult leader says to me.

"He was planning an assassination on you." I say as i begin to walk up to her.

"He's not the first David, you know aside from you no other assassin could possibly pose a threat to me." The cult leader says.

I draw nearer to her and at this time i was right in front of her, standing right above her.

"Oh no my cute little sister, I didn't kill him in fear of his plan possibly succeeding, I killed him for daring to think of harming my little Diana." I say as I bend over patting herhead.

"The Murim Alliance should be grateful I didn't wreck them." I say with a smile.

Her cheeks turn red again from embarrassment as she quickly slaps my hand away.

I burst out laughing.

Its always fun to see her like that even at this age.

We siblings are not from this world of Murim, we come from Earth.

After a car crash accident we got transmigrated here.

Waking up in the bodies of two orphans with the same age as when we were on earth, one thirteen and the other nine, we had to fend for ourselves right off the bat.

Starting from scratch we had to learn to fight and defend ourselves.

Luckily we had some knowledge from earth on muscle training which helped for a while.

We met an injured master after two years in this land.

He taught us a lot before passing away from his previous injuries.

We somehow joined the Heavenly Demon Cult as per his recommendation after eight years in the Murim.

Fighting from the bottom, stepping over bodies, bathing in the blood of others and always looking out for each other we rose to the top, not just in the Cult but in the entire Murim after nineteen years in the Murim.

"What are you thinking about, we have to be on our way, its almost time." Diana snaps me back to reality.

And now we are going a step further to unite the whole Murim under us.

"Hopefully we receive some good news this time" Diana says as we both walk out.

Entering the hall for the meeting everyone present in the hall rises up and with a bow, they all greet the Demon Lord.

"Long live the Heavenly Demon Cult, long live the Heavenly Demon Lord."

Diana raises her hand signalling they all be at ease.

They all take their seat after Diana had taken hers.

I take my seat beside Diana, placing my feet on the table, some are discontent but what could they possibly do about it, haha.

The Cult advisor steps forth to begin the meeting.

They talk about a lot of things which are of no concern to me.

I sit relaxed when I suddenly sense something in the air, faint but it was there, masked with fragrant incense so no one would be able to tell what it was, but no one can deceive my senses, not after everything I've been through.

It was the notorious Ki dispersing poison.

No one else seems to have noticed.

I immediately sit up, theres no need to hold my breath as I and my sister have already become immune to all poisons.

But who would dare to do such at the heart of the Heavenly Demon Cult.

I immediately scan the area with my heightened senses but something feels off, my senses are blurry, what's going on? This dispersing poison couldn't possibly affect me so...

I cease my thoughts as I turn to my sister, realizing my little sister could be in danger I jump up from my seat.

"We need to leave now Diana." I say to her hurriedly.

"Huhh?" she replies in confusion.

"Now Diana!"

Seeing how serious I am she sighs and stands up.

We leave the meeting hall.

Heading to the Cult Leaders Palace Diana asks.

"I trust your extra ordinary senses but can you at least tell me what's going on?"

"We are under attack." I reply.

"Attack?" Diana replies bursting out laughing as we walk into the Palace.

"Who would possibly dare attack the cult? Especially when we are present." she asks mockingly.

"I dont know, neither do I know who the target is, but can't you sense the poison in the air?"

"What poi..." she stops short as she begins to sense it."

It's become stronger, what could be their goal.

"Well even if i can sense it, aren't we immune to all poisons?" Diana asks in confusion as to why I am so riled up.

"Try circulating your ki." I say to her.

From the expression on her face three second after I told her to I could see I was right.

"What the fuck..." Daniel blurts out.

Just then everywhere becomes silent, too silent.

"We are surrounded." I say as I pull out my chained blood scythe.

It was one of the things that got me the title Sangdaejong, King of Death.

It became a rumoured treasure, saying anyone who could get his hands on it would inherit the powers of death itself. Of course thats all bullshit.

"They number over three hundred, all extremely skilled. So we were the target huh?" Diana says as she pull out her sword.

The sword that could only be wielded my none other than the Cult Leader.

"You all dare to target I the Heavenly Demon Lord and my elder brother Mr Sangdaejong." Diana yells out mocking me at the last statement.

I couldn't help but smile.

Even in this situation she still had to take the opportunity to tease me.

"Oh great Demon Lord, who could dare aim for the heads of the two strongest beings of the cult." A males voice drawing nearer is heard from outside the palace.

"Except one is sure that he could definitely have your heads." The males voice says as he steps in with some figures behind him.
