Queen ended up teaching Jack another seven or eight times before he finally figured it out. Jack was incredibly grateful.
Before leaving, Queen turned around and warned him, "Oi, Jack, don't keep calling me with video chat for no reason!"
"Oh, got it," Jack replied without even looking up, pouting and humming dismissively. His fingers kept swiping through TikTok, completely immersed in a sea of beauties, oblivious to the world around him.
Seeing that, Queen just shrugged and swaggered off with his crew.
...
Heading to Onigashima!
Queen stood proudly on the swaying deck, salty sea breeze blowing across his face.
His fingers tapped the box full of phones beside him, producing a heavy thudding sound. A subordinate hesitated for a moment, then leaned in carefully and asked, "Queen-sama, should we send a few phones to King-sama too?"
The fat on Queen's face immediately bunched up, and he let out a puff of hot air through his nostrils. He waved dismissively, face full of disdain. "That guy with the stone face? The one who interrogates people over nothing? Tch!"
He spat into the sea breeze. "I can't be bothered."
The subordinate flinched at his reaction and dared not say another word.
"I'll give these to Kaido-sama. I guarantee he'll be blown away when he sees them. He'll even be able to watch my concert! Hahaha, just imagining it gets me pumped!"
The ship slowly approached Onigashima, its jagged silhouette looming in the mist.
Queen hoisted the box onto his shoulder and strutted toward Kaido's palace. His heavy boots echoed on the stone steps.
He pushed open the massive doors and stepped inside. The Tobi Roppo were all present. Even more annoyingly, King was there too, standing tall and masked.
"Yo, everyone's here?" Queen dropped the box with a loud bang, stirring up a cloud of dust. "Perfect, saves me the trouble of rounding you all up."
Kaido was lounging lazily on his throne, eyes half-lidded with drink. "Queen, what dumb stunt are you pulling this time?"
"Kaido-sama, this is a good thing!" Queen rubbed his hands together excitedly. He pulled a phone from the box and held it up like a sacred artifact.
The Tobiroppo gathered around curiously.
Who's-Who narrowed his eyes from behind his black mask, clearly skeptical. Judging by its shape, it looked like just another useless gadget Queen had whipped up.
Black Maria leaned in with interest, gently tapping her pipe against her lips.
Ulti yanked Page One closer, eager to see what it was.
"This thing's called a phone," Queen announced proudly. "You can hold concerts, watch livestreams, take photos, and record videos!"
He swiped expertly across the screen, showing off its functions. "And the best part is the Shopping Cart feature. This thing's at least a thousand years ahead of current tech!"
Kaido frowned, clearly unfamiliar with both the word "phone" and the barrage of modern terms. "Shopping Cart? What the hell is that?"
Everyone exchanged looks. King let out a cold snort from behind his mask. "Wano's been shut off from the world for years. No surprise the new junk from the outside keeps getting weirder."
The isolation of Wano had been part of the Beast Pirates' plan—to consolidate power and maintain control. But it also meant delayed access to new information. With no external communication, lags were inevitable.
Queen clicked his tongue in annoyance at King's remark. "Just try it for yourself!"
He handed out a phone to everyone. "Here, one per person!"
Talking only got you so far. Seeing was believing.
"First, press this button to turn it on... Yeah, just like that..." Queen guided them patiently, voice bubbling with excitement.
One by one, the screens lit up—and the Tobiroppo's faces lit up too.
Ulti's amber eyes sparkled. She poked at the screen cautiously. "Pagey! It actually lit up! And it plays videos! Do you think there's a Visual Den Den Mushi inside?!"
"Uh... Sis, a Visual Den Den Mushi wouldn't fit in that. It's like... ten times bigger," Page One said, gesturing helplessly.
Sasaki stared at the phone silently, lost in thought.
Drake, standing nearby, raised an eyebrow. If this device was truly as useful as Queen claimed, then the implications were huge.
He'd have to report this to the World Government. If the Beast Pirates were allowed to run wild with this tech, the results would be disastrous.
"The basic stuff is easy," Queen continued. "Photos? Tap this little camera icon. Videos? Swipe left, then tap record."
The interface was so simple, even pirates could figure it out.
Everyone started trying it for themselves.
"This... this is incredible!" Black Maria murmured. Her red lips parted in surprise as she tapped the screen, and her own reflection appeared.
She giggled, then casually snapped a selfie.
"Oh my gosh, Pagey! Look! It can take pictures!" Ulti squealed, grabbing her brother's arm in excitement.
"I know, Sis... that's like... a normal thing," Page One muttered, but even he looked intrigued as he started snapping photos and testing the video feature.
Even King frowned. Despite his usual disdain for Queen's antics, he had to admit the phone was convenient—compact and easy to use.
He gently slid a finger across the screen. A trace of surprise flickered in his eyes. He tried to stay calm, but the phone kept pulling his attention back.
Queen puffed out his chest with pride. The fat on his face jiggled with satisfaction.
He glanced at King again. That guy was clearly trying to act aloof, but his eyes hadn't left the screen since it lit up.
Queen's smugness grew even stronger.
"Don't get ahead of yourselves," he said. "You haven't even seen the best part yet. The TikTok Shopping Cart! Now that's real magic!"
Queen grinned widely, his short, thick fingers dancing across the screen.
"Watch closely, everyone!" He dragged out the words for dramatic effect, pulled a 10,000 Berry note from his pocket, held it beneath the phone, and said, "Recharge 10,000 Berries."
Everyone stared in disbelief.
Right before their eyes, the 10,000 Berry note... vanished.
