Chapter 1 - Chapter One: Rebirth in Another World

This is the story of two best friends who are reincarnated into another world.

Li Wei and Min Jun were good friends, living difficult lives. They were neighbors in a small town in China. Life wasn't easy for them—they worked hard every day just to earn enough money. Their offices were far apart and they didn't own any vehicles, nor could they afford to take buses or taxis due to their financial struggles. So, they walked every day, up and down, trying to make ends meet.

Every evening, after returning home from work, they would rest for a while. One such evening, Min Jun said, "Let's go grab a cold drink—it'll help us feel refreshed." Li Wei agreed, and both of them headed out to buy cold drinks.

On the way, they saw a thief snatching a girl's purse in an alley. Without thinking, they started running after him to catch him. The thief crossed a main road, with Li Wei and Min Jun right behind him. As they burst out of the alley chasing the thief, a truck suddenly appeared and hit them. The accident took their lives.

When they opened their eyes again, Li Wei saw a beautiful woman smiling at him. She picked him up lovingly and said, "My baby," then held him in her arms. Li Wei noticed a mirror nearby and realized—What?! I'm a baby now? Is this my second chance at life?

At the same time, Min Jun also opened his eyes and saw a stunning woman with small horns on her head. The horns made her look even more elegant and powerful. She came close, picked him up, and began to feed him. In that moment, Min Jun understood—this was his mother, and he had been reborn… in a completely new world.

This world was filled with humans, demons, fairies, and magical beasts. Half of the world belonged to humans, while the other half was ruled by demons. Fairies ruled the skies, and magical beasts lived beneath the earth.

Li Wei was born into the human race, while Min Jun was reborn into the demon race. Due to an agreement made by Li Wei's grandfather and Min Jun's grandfather—once enemies—humans and demons now coexisted peacefully. In this world, fairies and magical beasts were the most powerful, followed by demons, and then humans. But humans, using their intellect and strategy, had still managed to win many battles—even against stronger opponents.

Li Wei, born into a noble human family, was the son of the current human king. From a young age, he was trained to become stronger. His swordsmanship skills were unmatched—even elite warriors couldn't match his technique. He was so powerful that he could defeat ten skilled fighters alone. Even demonic powers were useless in front of his might.

Min Jun, on the other hand, was born into a wealthy and respected demon family. Thanks to his parents' bloodline, he inherited a powerful and rare demon skill—Appraisal. This ability allowed him to see others' strengths, skills, and predict their moves even before they made them. This was once the unique ability of the very first Demon King. Although Min Jun wasn't born into the royal demon family, his father was a trusted ally of the Demon King and also a dear friend of Li Wei's father. Originally, Min Jun was named Hiroshi and Li Wei was Wei Chen.

Now, both Hiroshi and Wei Chen were 16 years old and preparing for the Great Tournament. This was a grand event started by Hiroshi's grandfather—the 10th Demon King—and Wei Chen's grandfather—the 15th Human King. The goal was to build unity between demons and humans through combat.

The rules were simple:

First, each race would hold solo battles within their own territory.

The top 10 fighters from each race would be selected—10 humans and 10 demons.

These 20 chosen warriors would then have 1 year to travel the world and form a team of 5 members they trusted most to fight alongside in the tournament.

Other warriors, even if not selected initially, could still join the tournament if chosen by any of the 20 participants as a team member.

Only 4 teams would make it to the finals.

In the final round, team leaders must collaborate and defeat the remaining teams.

The ultimate winning team would earn the right to challenge the Human King and Demon King—and maybe even replace them.

So, did Wei Chen and Hiroshi decide to participate?

The opponents they would face were no ordinary fighters.
