Suddenly, a bright light appeared again. This time it was twice as bright. Alvaric couldn't see anything. The light was too dazzling, but he didn't stay still. Alvaric swung his sword in a circular motion. He also channeled his magic. But nothing happened.
The light slowly dimmed, and when Alvaric opened his eyes, he suddenly saw Serya staring at him with a confused look.
"Did you have a nightmare?" asked the woman.
Alvaric touched his body. He pinched his thigh, and the pain answered his question. However, Alvaric remembered that in the previous empty place, it felt the same. He had also felt pain. This was confusing— which of the two events was real?
Alvaric looked to the right and saw trees. He was inside a horse carriage. He stuck his head out to get a clearer look at the front. Alvaric scratched his head, confused.
