Well that was written in my email when I got accepted here, I heard the salary is good so I applied and I immediately got accepted as the boss's assistant, pretty good role as newbie right? I know.
"hello good morning." I greeted them with a smile, this company is actually full of vampires and me being a mortal element welder?? Nahh this can be a little bit dangerous.
They kinda seem friendly though, but never get fooled by their innocent faces.
"Hi are you, Aria Ein Storm?" the girl with a pink elegant dress asked, she looks so stunning
I smiled "Hello yes! I am Aria Ein Storm, nice to meet you!" I happily said, I hold up my hands to hehe you know? Shake hands but she ignores it so I put down my hand awkwardly
"I am Sarlia Ashwood, I am the boss's acting assistant.. Before you came. So I'll be giving you things that needed to be done." she said, acting assistant huh?
As Sarlia gave me a lot of papers to finish I immediately did it for a couple of hours, she told me when I'm done I'll take it to Mr. Vale's office.. and formally introduce my name to him..
I opened the office door and I almost dropped my papers as my eyes laid on his side profile, super shockingly handsome! Is he a god???
"G-good morning Mr. Vale.. I am here to deliver some papers to you that Ms. Sarlia asked me to do.." my mind got blanked, I forgot everything, I'm freakin speechless!
"hmm." he hummed coldly, of course.
I clears my throat "Hello Mr. Lucien Vale, I am Aria Ein Storm. I'm a element welder and I'm 21 years old!" I said confidently
"I'm not interested." he coldly said
WHAT?! WHAT DOES HE MEAN?? did he misunderstood me?
"N-no sir! I am your new assistant!" and finally he look into me, those eyes my gosh!
"You're late." my jaw dropped, no? I came here early
"I think you misunderstood sir, I cam here super early but Ms. Sarlia told me to do the things" I pointed at the papers I put on his table "So sir, I am not late.."
"Sarlia?.. Your office table is here not outside." he look at the empty table across the room.. Just few feets away from his table.
Ohh... I thought my table is outside..
"Oh.. Sorry sir Ms. Sarlia didn't mentioned it.. May I go now sir and pack my things to move here?" i asked permission
He just nodded while typing on his laptop so elegantly, those long slender veiny fingers- ugh what am I thinking, before I left, I pack my things and move it inside his office, but I did it quietly even though it's really tiring..
It's already lunch time and I am ready to eat downstairs at the company's cafeteria. While I'm eating my sandwich and scrolling through reels, a girl.. A vampire girl approached me with a cute smile
"Hello! I am Sol, Solitaire Ashwood" she greeted me.. Ashwood is she Ms. Sarlia's sister?
I smiled back, finally someone who can reciprocate my energy!
"Hello!!! I am Aria Ein Storm!"
"Wow such a beautiful name! You're the new assistant slash! Secretary of Mr. Vale??" she asked happily like she is super excited
"Yes! It's my first day today and everyone is kinda intimidating!" I said, but I feel at peace now that I met her
Eventually we became best friends and she introduced me to the other employees she's so jolly ans cute unlike her older sister that is so intimidating!
We sat down at the bench resting after walking around the company.. It's my free time today. Mr. Vale is in meeting and left me with nothing to do, he told me I'm not yet ready for a meeting so.. He just left me.
"We have a big project coming." Sol cracked
I looked at her confused
"Well our company keeps valuable treasures right.. There is a future teller who came here 3 days ago.. She told the Mr. Vale that his mate will be coming and he needs to prefer.. The future teller also gave him.. a clues about a portrait of that girl but she won't give it to him unless!" she cuts herself
"Why would you left me in a cliffhanger!" I demanded, she only chuckled before continuing
"Unless, he help her find her husband that has been captured by mortals" she said
"Is her husband.. A vampire?" I asked curiously she just shocked her head
"No.. He's actually like you hehe an Element welder" Sol
"Really? I didn't know theres many element welder here.. Well my dad is the only one I know with the same power like mine but he's a water element whilst I'm a wind." I said confidently, I really love my power. I was able to manipulate the wind and command it whatever I want.
"When I first discovered my power, I was angry at my dad for not telling me that my mom is still alive and just missing.. But he told me he was searching for her for decades now.. Ever since I was born." I told Sol about my story now
"What if the future teller is your mom?" I onlu laughed at her takes
"Well that couldn't be because my dad described my mom as a fragile, normal woman.. And he said she's also not aware of super natural world.. Like vampires, wolves, and especially us element welder so that future teller couldn't be my mom." I said with a smile reminiscing the times me and my father argue because I want to keep looking for my mother while he's tired from work.
Could she be still out there? Is she okay? I hope she's getting all the love and attention that my mom deserves.
