With that threat the matron walked off to go inspect the rest of the preparations for the lord's guest and see what other house staff she would terrorize.
Just as the matron was walking off, one of the nicer kitchen maids, who have become an acquaintance of Han, —the very one who gave him the weird look on his first day in the lord's house—came to assist him in rearranging the table setting, probably realizing that Han had no idea what to do.
"I really don't get why she is making such a fuss over table setting, I mean like who cares?" Han said lowly in conversation to the other maid, Bei; who responded by giving her an appalled look and a hush.
"I get, it is important because the lord is having some 'high caliber' guest, who is this guest anyway?" Han continued his mostly one sided conversation as they continued properly setting the table.
"Hanna, hush! You talk too much" Bei said in a reprimanding tone to Han, though not so serious or harsh. Then coming closer to him, she said "We shouldn't be talking about the lord's guest but," she paused then looked around to see if anyone was listening but it seemed everyone else was engaged in one chore or the other, she continued, "He is this really handsome Viceroy; Viceroy Holtan Wu of Pearl Province, one of the most powerful young lords in the land, and best of all he is single" Bei said, giggling at the last part.
Han rolled his eyes, Bei was a pretty girl, a really pretty one, not far from Han's type of girls back when he was a guy in Tokyo, but for some reason the girl has really bad taste in men—all the guys she said to have dated or have a crush on within the lord's household are downright 'not it' to Han, in his opinion they don't deserve someone as wonderful and kind as she is—and based on her history with men, Han was sure this "handsome" Viceroy would be no better.

After I was admitted into the high gate, the funniest thing happened, the entire staff of the residence rushed out to bow before me, greeting me, some saying prayers of thanks that I am alive, calling me lord and such; leaving me completely dumbfounded. This people seem to know me, but not as me, as their lord—the lord of this palatial residence.
Here, I am two days later, not still understanding how I ended up here, but not refusing the benefits of the false identity either; I am completely basking in this luxury.
My only problem though, is that I no longer look like myself, it seems that in this strange land that I still can't find my way out of, I have now taken on the look and identity of another, the Viceroy of this province—which I now know to be called Pearl province—and lord of this house.
Suddenly, there was a knock on my office door, it was the house butler, "Excuse me, my lord, the carriage is ready for your journey to Canta"
Right. I forgot that I or rather, the person I am now impersonating has some meet with some important person of some place called Canta, for which I am to embark on the journey today. Hope it would not be as tiring and near suicidal as my journey to this place.
I stood up from my desk and followed my butler out of my office, outside to the carriage. My one thought and hope as the carriage begins to move is that I will finally begin to find some answers to my questions once I get to this Canta place.
