Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Uzumaki Mito

In the forest at the edge of Konoha.

The sound of thunder rumbled continuously.

In a large area of the forest, trees were toppled and flames burned.

And Yasu, who had just unleashed the final form of the Thunder Breathing technique, stood motionless in place.

After being tormented for so long, he finally heard the voice of the demon who made him in this state.

[Thunder Breathing simulation successful. Rewards have been distributed. The system will now release control. ]

As soon as Yasu regained control of his body, he collapsed to the ground, convulsing.

Pain...

Everything hurt.

The pain was so intense that he didn't even have the strength to scream.

Yasu now regretted choosing the forest when he allowed the system to take control of his body.

Because now he couldn't even move a finger, and the surroundings were engulfed in flames.

If he didn't find a way to save himself, he would be burned to death.

After lying on the ground for a while, Yasu felt his body getting hotter and hotter.

The will to survive made Yasu move.

Fortunately, he had chosen a place with a small river nearby; he could be saved as long as he crawled into it.

However, Yasu's crawling speed was extremely slow, and he could already feel his butt burning. (that taco bell be hitting…)

Just as Yasu was finally about to crawl into the river, several figures landed in front of him.

Yasu laboriously raised his head and saw the person in the lead, his pupils shrinking.

The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Although Yasu had guessed that people from Konoha would notice the situation here, he didn't expect Hiruzen to come in person.

But at least he should be saved now; he would worry about the rest later.

Yasu's tense mind relaxed, and he immediately fainted.

Hiruzen frowned as he looked at Yasu, his eyes filled with confusion.

The situation here was clearly the result of an attack by a lightning-release ninja.

And Yasu was the only person here, and Yasu's hands clearly showed the burns left by using lightning-release ninjutsu.

But the destruction caused around here was something even a Chunin would have difficulty achieving.

Could Yasu, a student still attending the ninja academy, have done something like this?

Hiruzen felt very incredulous.

As for Yasu, Hiruzen's feelings for him weren't really that bad.

Although his parents had previously defected from Konoha, it wasn't really a betrayal of Konoha, but rather a love affair.

It was a conflict between Yasu's parents and the Uchiha clan, not a conflict with Konoha.

It was just that the Uchiha clan didn't recognize Yasu, and the villagers of Konoha vented their resentment towards the Uchiha clan on Yasu.

Now, the villagers of Konoha's resentment towards the Uchiha clan was getting deeper and deeper, and there were already signs of irreconcilable differences.

However, the situation in the ninja world was not as peaceful as it seemed on the surface, and war could break out at any time. Konoha still needed the power of the Uchiha.

Therefore, Hiruzen couldn't take action against the Uchiha clan for the time being.

On one side were the villagers, and on the other side was the Uchiha clan. Therefore, Hiruzen directly chose to ignore Yasu's existence.

Now Hiruzen couldn't be 100% sure if this was caused by this child in front of him, but if it was, then Hiruzen would have to re-evaluate Yasu's value.

Hiruzen narrowed his eyes as he looked at the unconscious Yasu.

Moreover, lightning-release ninjas were extremely rare in Konoha. If Yasu really caused this, it would mean that Yasu had mastered a powerful lightning-release ninjutsu.

Yasu hadn't left the village since his mother brought him back to Konoha, so the lightning-release ninjutsu that Yasu mastered must have been obtained outside the village.

If such ninjutsu could be given to Konoha ninjas who could use lightning-release, Konoha's strength would be greatly improved.

Hiruzen gave an order to the Anbu beside him: "Extinguish the surrounding flames, and then take him to the ninja hospital for treatment."

After the order was given, the Anbu ninja used water-release ninjutsu to extinguish the surrounding flames.

And one of the Anbu picked up Yasu and took him to the ninja hospital.

...

Uzumaki Mito residence.

Uzumaki Kushina, who had been rejected by Yasu, returned to the Uzumaki Mito residence dejectedly.

Kushina, who had just come to Konoha, was living here at Mito's place.

Mito saw Kushina return and asked with a smile, "Kushina, how was your first day at the ninja academy? Did everything go smoothly?"

Kushina pouted and called out aggrievedly, "Grandma Mito."

Seeing Kushina looking aggrieved, Mito stepped forward, picked up Kushina, sat on the tatami mat, and asked, "What happened?"

Kushina told Mito about being called "Tomato" in class, then beating up those who bullied her, and being rejected when she wanted to befriend Yasu.

Mito murmured, "Yasu?"

Hearing her grandma Mito's murmur, Kushina asked curiously, "Grandma Mito, do you know Yasu?"

"Yes, I've heard of him."

Mito's voice was a little low.

How could she not know him?

Yasu's father was a member of the Senju clan, and he and her husband, Senju Hashirama, were from the same clan.

However, since the founding of Konoha, Senju Hashirama, as the head of the Senju clan, had disbanded the Senju clan, and all the clan members had intermarried with the villagers of Konoha, becoming indistinguishable from the crowd.

Back then, Mito had pleaded with Hiruzen for Yasu's parents when they defected from Konoha.

But it was not successful, because Yasu's mother was from the Uchiha clan.

As the largest clan in Konoha, Hiruzen Sarutobi, as the Hokage, had to give them face.

Later, when Yasu returned to Konoha, Uzumaki Mito also offered to adopt Yasu, but she was also rejected by Hiruzen Sarutobi.

And the reason given by Hiruzen Sarutobi was her identity and Yasu's identity.

Yasu's parents were missing-nin, and he was not recognized by the Uchiha clan.

And Uzumaki Mito, as the wife of the First Hokage, was not suitable to adopt a child whose parents were missing-nin and who was abandoned by the Uchiha clan.

At that time, Mito was still sighing that Hiruzen Sarutobi, after succeeding as Hokage, had become a little unfamiliar to her.

Mito stroked Kushina's hair and asked, "Do you know why Yasu refused to be friends with you?"

Kushina said aggrievedly while imitating his voice, "He said, 'I am isolated by the entire village. If you are friends with me, you may also be isolated by everyone,' and then told me to change seats after returning to school and then left."

Mito's eyes flickered, "Isolated by the entire village... Alas, Yasu didn't do anything wrong."

Mito sighed deeply, feeling heartache for Yasu's current situation.

But now she couldn't do anything to change his current situation.

Looking at the unhappy Kushina, Mito became thoughtful.
