LIAM's POV
She shrugged expecting a response from me, "I do." I answered, she nods her head not saying anything but I knew she has something to say.
"Spill it out." I gestured for her to talk, she smiled lightly before clearing her throat.
"So here it goes!"
"I found out you were the one that saved me three years ago in a car accident. I was wondering if you noticed anything or find anything suspicious at all?"
I had no response to her question, not one at all because I can't even remember a thing of the accident scene.
"I don't know."
"I have partial amnesia and it was sustained during the accident scene, I have no idea what happened or how I saved you." She nods her head understandingly.
"That explains why you never came to look for me at James's residence." I felt sorry for her, I was initially investigating her background because I felt it was connected to the care accident.
The accident wasn't just an accident, it was calculated by someone . That was the only clue I had gotten since all these while.
My phone rang, I picked it placing it on my ear, "Mr Liam, I found something." Tim's voice came in. I became anxious standing up to go elsewhere as I excused myself from her.
"Speak up!"
"So here's the thing master, before the accident occurred, someone had intentionally ordered a truck man hiring him by paying him a huge sum of money, to hit miss Brenda's car."
"It was too targeted and what is shocking is, the car miss Brenda was in was under the NORWAY family, that was the car that took the missing daughter of your distant uncle." He explained.
The clues started coming together but I was confused, "What do you mean?"
"I suspect miss Brenda is the missing daughter of your distant uncle boss." Everything went blank around me, I was lost.
I was distant to their family because my parents had died when I was very young and I was taken care of by grandfather.
I didn't want to have anything to do with them except for grandfather which was why I didn't recognize them, not even Brenda or her sis.
That explains the sense of familiarity I was feeling when I saw her, how would she feel knowing I'm hee uncle, does it make any sense that I have a slight emotion for her.
I just tried not to think too much about it, "Investigate the car part, I'm sure they might be two, Brenda can't be my niece." I said reassuring myself it must have been a mistake before dropping the call.
"What was that about?" I heard her voice behind me, I thought she heard, but she asked something else instead.
"How do I look?" It was now I noticed she has finished dressing up, she now looked more prettier than before.
"Always sexy and perfect my dearest." It was funny I had changed her nickname again, I badly want to call her my princess.
"Perfect!"
"I already packed my bags and brought it over here, my timing expired already, I was thinking maybe we should just go home." She said, I noticed she was being careful with her words.
She hasn't fully trusted me yet so I understand how she might be feeling, I nodded, she squealed a bit in excitement.
"For what you ask me earlier, I've been investigating about it, if you have any clues to give also , It'll help the person investigating."
"Ohh right, I'll do just that." She snapped her finger in a cute way, she just felt different , her words, her actions, everything she does eludes this aura have I never felt before.
"Let me dress up so we can leave." She nodded and went to sit back at the bedroom , I picked out my suit dressing properly like a ceo.
After I was done, I used my perfume before going out, I stared at her , her back facing me. "She's beautiful." I thought.
She noticed me and turned back to face me, "You ready?" I gestured at her question, obviously I was.
She didn't say anything but I wanted to ask her what she thinks about my outfit, funny but true. We both proceeded out.
She told me she already checked out for the both of us and without asking her any questions, I knew she's going to stay at my house since she has nowhere to go right now.
Getting outside the hotel, I saw James, he rushed over to my side kneeling down immediately with Jenna, right, I later asked for her to be fired.
We don't need the home wrecker type at my company, it can end up tarnishing the company's image, better to wipe them out now than never.
"Boss, please… did u do anything wrong? Was I not working diligently enough? Or was Brenda the one who said rubbish about me? Don't listen to her, it's all lies…" He kept blabbing without stopping.
"At least if you want to lie against me, try doing it in from of me, you know! I said nothing about you and I don't even care about you, I'm not taking what you did against you because I didn't see any reasons to yet but this?." Brenda voiced out.
When James saw her, he was shocked, he really didn't see her beside me before. "Brenda…" He stuttered.
"Are you done playing the victim's card? If yes, then stay out of our way so we can leave." She fired back at him glaring dangerously at the both of them.
Jenna quickly stood up, facing Brenda, "Brenda, even though James divorced you because of me, you didn't have to revenge by hooking up with his boss and getting him fired, that's really bad." She said, bashing her fake eyelashes innocently.
I was about interfering but was stopped when Brenda slapped her, "Yes I hooked up with his boss and so? I did that because I realize he's far better than him, both in bed and physically. Even with money." I blushed at her words.
Did she just praised me? James stood up, charging at Brenda trying to attack her, that was my cue to stop their nonsense as I pushed him away punching him straight up.
"You don't need me to talk about what you did before you know why I had you blacklisted…" I paused drawing Brenda by the waist, "And the woman you think was trash is worth more than your whole generation combined. She's a true gem." I warned him before pushing him out of the way going to the car that was already waiting for us.
I opened the car for Brenda to get in first and after she got in, I looked back, "If you push me any further, I'll be forced to take charges on you impersonating me." I got into the car without waiting for their response as the driver drives away.
