After everything that happened that night, Jin could barely sleep. His body was sore, but his head was buzzing with the scenes of the fight he had witnessed in the ring and Seo Mira's absurd strength. For the first time in his life, he felt alive, strong... as if he were part of something big.
The next morning, Park Ryun, his father, was waiting for him.
As soon as Jin got into the car, the man got straight to the point:
"It's time to find out what I want from you, kid."
Jin looked at him curiously as the car headed back to the base. Inside Ryun's office, the henchmen stood outside and the atmosphere became tense.
Park Ryun lit a cigarette and, with a smirk on the corner of his mouth, said:
— There are a lot of kids from rival gangs at your school. Adults can't get involved there… police, media, all that shit. But you can. I want you to take over that school. Become the boss there. Drive out the scumbags, crush anyone who tries to get in your way. Then, I want you to challenge the schools in the other areas of Busan… and after that, go to Seoul… Gangbuk… and take everything for yourself.
He approached Jin, placing a heavy hand on his son's shoulder:
— I want all of this before you finish high school. You're only in your first year… you have plenty of time.
Jin felt his adrenaline rise. This was more than a challenge—it was an invitation to become a legend. He clenched his fists, smirked and replied:
— I'm excited. I can't wait to beat the crap out of everyone.
Park Ryun let out a hoarse and proud laugh.
"You really are my son."
After that, Jin's father took him home and, before leaving him, said:
"Train hard. I want you to be like me when I was your age… or even stronger. Seo Mira will get you in line."
"You can do it." Jin replied confidently.
As soon as Jin entered the house, his mother, Lee Hana, was in the living room, waiting for him with her arms crossed and a not-so-friendly expression.
"Where have you been until now, Jin?"
The boy didn't even try to lie.
"With my father."
Hana's gaze changed immediately. She knew. She knew everything. An almost savage expression passed over her face, and for a brief moment, it seemed like a ferocious tiger appeared in her eyes, as if she saw the predator her son was becoming.
She took a deep breath, and for the first time, she let her guard down.
— Is this really what you want, Jin?
Jin didn't hesitate.
— Yes.
Hana then sighed and said, with a heavy voice:
— Then... I won't hold you back anymore. Do what you have to do.
Jin gave a slight smile, knowing that from that moment on, he was free to follow the path he had chose
n — or that the blood he carried forced him to follow.
