Now what should he do? One of his most trusted companions, his most supportive friend, turned out to be a genocidal maniac.
Ishar's nerves went cold. They had just revealed their entire plan, to someone like Tanvir!
"Naren, Tanvir must know all our weaknesses and strengths by now…" Ishar said, hesitantly.
Naren looked at him hopelessly, a flicker of anger in his eyes.
"Now, we only have one solution left. It's inevitable now."
"And what solution is that?"
Naren held his head high up, and started in a determined tone, as if announcing their courage to the whole world.
"We have to confront Dr.Tanvir. Now. And do whatever it takes to stop him."
Ishar grinned. "And here, I thought you were incapable of having good ideas."
Naren rolled his eyes. Just then, the third person in the room cleared his throat, clearly not used to standing awkwardly in the middle of the room with guns pointing at him.
"What about me? And Rathore?" Mahendra asked, sheepishly.
"You…" Ishar said, grinning at him, "You are going to come with us. It will be a 5-minute drive to Tanik's place. I have already alerted him about Tanvir, so currently, Tanvir is under adult supervision. We will arrest Rathore and his minions after cleaning this mess."
Naren nodded. They tucked in their guns and led Mahendra out the door, warning him to not do anything funny which could get him killed. Ishar decided to keep the real Rathore (who was still unconscious) in his seat at the desk, so the guards wouldn't get suspicious.
On the drive to Tanik's secret research center, Ishar couldn't help but feel a pang of anxiety in his chest. Yes, for the first time, Ishar couldn't help but feel scared.
What if everything went wrong? What if he didn't find a solution, a light to his confusion in time?
What if- oof!
The car suddenly stopped with a jerk and Ishar was thrown forward, his head hitting the window. He glared at Naren, who looked at him and smiled sheepishly.
"Come on…let's go and find Tanik and Venkatesh. They were keeping an eye on Tanvir all along."
