Chapter 70 - Back To The Beginning

Ishar stopped an auto-rickshaw and got inside. Now he knew exactly what he should do.

"Excuse me." Ishar spoke to the driver, "Please take me to the airport. Kashmir's waiting for me."

Ishar leaned back in his airplane seat and looked outside the window. The clouds looked like pure cotton, spread on a canvas of tranquil blue. Had Aarush realized he had escaped until now? What was going to happen? All these questions clouded Ishar's mind, but it was unlikely that he was going to get any answers soon.

He glanced around. It was too risky to study the blueprint of Pralaya-1 right now. What if someone was following him? That's when a bizarre thought struck his mind. A thought so bizarre, that it was horrifyingly scary.

Could the aliens be looking upon him right now, hundreds of kilometers up from the sky, or spying on him through his front camera? He gritted his teeth and glanced at his phone uncomfortably.

Let's just think happy thoughts now.

Soon after, the airplane landed (obviously). Ishar had mentally set a countdown until the doomsday. 28 days. That's all they had left from saving the world. Walking through the airport parking area, Ishar scanned the ground until he spotted the one thing his eyes craved for.

His beloved motorcycle.

It stood there gleaming marvelously in the sunlight, like it was just waiting to save the world. Ishar smiled to himself, got onto the motorcycle, and rested his hand comfortably on the handles.

Then he pulled back the throttle, as hard as he could. The motorcycle came back to life with a jerk and started spinning its wheel, as fast as it could go. As Ishar drove away to his secret headquarters in Kashmir, he could feel his heart beating wildly against his chest, and for the first time in years, he had the most anxious intrusive thought.

What if this isn't enough?

After some time, the familiar dilapidated building came into view. However, Ishar didn't stop to notice the broken walls. Nor did he spot the dusty chandelier. He ran straight towards the old room downstairs, lifting that broken floorboard up and almost yelling the password.

The door had barely opened, when Ishar ran inside.

Suddenly something strong and fierce jumped on to him from behind, knocking him to the ground. Ishar felt his blood go cold.

Had Aarush followed him all the way here?
