Chapter 3 - Sea Serpent

Lord on the back of Iron Pig flew over the sea in search of a monster. Iron pig descended a bit and Lord saw it.

A sea serpent monster that could coil itself around Sicree. The biggest and oldest dragon they had ever seen. It had webbed feet that made it fast underwater. Iron Pig and Lord chased it.

Iron Pig saw an opening, he filled his lungs with air. His skin started to turn red hot.

"Not yet," Lord said as he hung at the side of his dragon. They continued to follow the hundred and twenty meters sea serpent.

"Is that a Leviathan?"

"No, it's definitely a sea serpent," Iron Pig said and descended a few thousand feet.

Lord jumped, the wind pushed against his body. He streamlined his body by putting his arms by his side. He dove ahead of the sea serpent. Wind blasted his ears, dried his eyes, and flapped his cheeks. He flipped with precision.

He landed feet first directly on the sea serpent. This sent it deeper into the water. He swam to the surface to take a breath.

He was sent flying all of a sudden. Lord skipped across the water a couple of times. The sea serpent jetted off as it tried to catch up with Lord.

Iron Pig saw this and took a deep breath. Once again he turned red hot. He blew flames that poured like molten magma. Steam rose the moment it touched the water. This clouded the whole place making it difficult for Iron Pig to see.

He focused his eyes as he stared in the direction he last saw the serpent. He flew in Lord's direction, descending so he could grab him. Out of the blue, a geyser of seawater knocked him off course.

Iron Pig soared ahead and turned around. Lord saw the sea serpent headed toward him. He swam away from it but it made no difference. It sucked in water that created a whirlpool which trapped Lord in a spin.

Iron Pig swooped down and grabbed the sea serpent. In its mouth he bit as hard as he could. His teeth pierced through the skin. The serpent fired a gush of water at Iron Pig.

The serpent coiled itself around Iron Pig. Letting it fall into the sea. It sucked in water and created a whirlpool. Iron Pig still clutching the serpent's midsection. They spun in the whirlpool.

Iron flapped his wings in an effort to break free of the centrifugal force. He found it difficult to break free. The water clung to his skin making it difficult to flap his wings.

He let go of the serpent. Lord was swimming towards him when he disappeared. Lord dove into the water to see Iron Pig being dragged into the sea.

Iron Pig tried to turn red hot. He opened his mouth and water rushed in.

"I guess this is how I die," Iron Pig thought as he looked at refracted rays entering the water. Lord went back to the surface and took a deep breath.

He dove back down and swam as fast as he could to get to Iron Pig. The moment he got to him, he placed his mouth on his.

Lord let out all the oxygen in his lungs in Iron Pig's mouth. Bubbles rose around them. He watched to see if it worked, but after a while nothing happened.

He quickly tried to swim to the surface but drowned before he could get there. Iron Pig suddenly opened his eyes and he glowed red hot.

It was only for a few seconds but that's all he needed. The sea serpent quickly let go. Iron Pig swam as he made his way to the surface. He pushed Lord with his head to the surface.

Lord coughed and vomited the moment they surfaced. Iron Pig took a deep breath, just before the serpent grabbed his tail.

Iron turned red hot and the serpent let go. Steam filled the air, as Iron Pig flapped his wings. The sea serpent splashed a gush of water at Iron Pig.

This gave him enough force to take off. He grabbed Lord with his forelimb. A few feet above the water Iron Pig breathed fire into the sea. The sea serpent shrieked and flapped around in the water.

Iron Pig and Lord watched as the sea serpent slowly sunk into the sea. They quickly flew back home. People ran when they saw Iron Pig coming. Lord got off when he landed and he quickly flew away.

"How can I be so weak, so useless? I was only in his way, she should have eaten me. That's what I'll good for, sustenance,"

Lord thought as he walked down the hall. People stared but he paid no mind. Tobias saw him but did not bother to call him. Lord went to his room and fell on his bed.

He lay there playing the whole event in his head.

Laud was in his room when he heard a noise. He limped toward the door and opened it. It was dawn and they were heading out for the raid. Knights in armor matched the halls. Metals clucked and leather squeaked as they matched.
