Stormwatch Academy – Students' Dorm
Kite entered his room quietly, closing the door behind him.
"Chu-Chu, I'm back—and I've got news."
Chu-Chu, who had nestled himself inside the fruit basket with a mouth full of almonds, looked up.
"Chu-Chu!"
He sprang up and scampered to Kite's shoulder.
"Hehe, I missed you too, buddy. And the news is—we're moving to Carynthos!"
"Chu-Chu!"
With Chu-Chu's excited approval, Kite began packing his things. He paused and glanced around the room—his home for the past four years. Even though he hated the Stormwatch Academy, not because it was hard, but because it was hell, it had still become a part of him.

Later That Day – Cobblestone Street
Kite stood beside Rapha near a busy street, his grey double-breasted coat swaying in the morning breeze. Despite four years in the academy, cities still felt overwhelming to him—mostly because he never had time to enjoy them.
"Take care of yourself, alright?" Rapha said with a warm but concerned tone. "Carynthos is a peaceful city. Our facility there focuses on research, so you won't get into too much trouble. We're sending you there so you can finally—"
"Relax before it begins, I know." Kite smiled faintly. "Don't worry, Mrs. Rapha. I'm an officer now. I'll behave."
"Hmph. You better." She softened, then looked at Chu-Chu. "Now it's your job to take care of him, right?"
"Chu-Chu!"
Chu-Chu stood proudly atop Kite's head, giving his squeaky promise.
"Goodbye, Kite."
"Goodbye, Mrs. Rapha."
With that, Kite climbed into the carriage that would take him to Carynthos.
As the horses pulled away, Kite leaned against the windowsill, resting his chin on his hand. His thoughts wandered.
"Four years already… I hope you're safe, wherever you are, Dad. Be with Mom… in peace."
The loss still lingered. Time passed, but it never truly healed.

Carynthos City
The carriage passed through a grand gate, its craftsmanship bearing the distinct artistry of the Majapahit Empire. Carynthos dazzled the eyes—bustling ports, majestic ships, vibrant people, and a glowing sunset that bathed the handcrafted city in gold.
Kite and Chu-Chu gazed out in awe. Everything was beautiful. The buildings, the culture—so much of the city was shaped by trade with the Majapahit, their influence etched into every carved stone and painted window.
The carriage rolled into a quieter district and stopped before a large but modest building. Compared to the rest of the city, it wasn't impressive, but it had its own charm.
"I had higher hopes… but whatever. Let's see."
Kite stepped out and approached the door. He was about to knock when—
"We were expecting you any minute, young gentleman."
Kite turned. Standing nearby was a old man in a top hat and black suit, smiling warmly.
