Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Developing Ninjutsu

Two months passed by rather quickly. It was mostly training his body, learning some lightning-style ninjutsu from Tobirama, and giving Tsunade some tips on gambling from his past life. Surprisingly, even with all the advice, Tsunade still lost every single game. Well, at least she stopped her gambling for a while.

'The entrance exam to the academy is next week,' Akira thought, 'Will I be in the same class as Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru?'

Akira pondered about which class he would be put in, and even worried if he would pass the exam, but he quickly dismissed the thought of failing.

It was no use wondering about it now anyways. He was pretty confident that'll he would pass the exam. If he didn't, he would be seriously embarrassing his grandfather, the First Hokage. After all, if ordinary civilians could pass, then he should be able to right?

He knew Tsunade would pass, so he didn't need to worry about her, as Akira also knew how strong Tsunade was. But she really needed to get rid of that bad gambling habit...

Somewhere else, probably gambling again, Tsunade sneezed twice.

With a shake of his head, he cleared his thoughts and continued his current task; developing a ninjutsu along his granduncle's guidance. Even before Tobirama became the Second Hokage, he was an expert at these kind of things, and created several ninjutsu, even some forbidden arts.

The one Akira was creating now was an unfinished product of Tobirama's , but if finished, it was surely at the very least, a low B-rank, or possibly a high B-rank. If mastered, the ninjutsu might even reach A-rank. As for how a literal five-year old could create such a jutsu, the answer still eludes many. If this scene was seen by any respectable shinobi, they might just bend over and cough blood from sheer anger and disbelief.

This was his first time trying anything of the sort, and although he knew some lightning-based ninjutsu, they were only C-rank and consumed far too much chakra. Albeit Akira had abnormally large chakra for his age due to his Senju bloodline, it could only compare to a weak genin. For this reason exactly, his 'tsundere' great uncle decided to be a nice teacher and let Akira try to finish making a ninjutsu that consumed far less chakra, but was stronger than most ninjutsu.

He then proved worthy of his title of a once-in-a-millennium genius, as shown when after only three weeks, was close to finishing said jutsu. This period of time, in Akira's eyes, was too far slow, for he thought that the jutsu was half-finished already, and he still had the guidance of one of the best teachers you could ask for. Once again, if his thoughts were heard, some shinobi might actually die due to excessive blood loss.

Currently, Akira was standing in front of a line of wooden training dummies, on a training ground, with Tobirama right behind him, instructing him on the final details of his new jutsu.

This ninjutsu was best utilized during close-combat, and Akira wasn't lacking in this aspect at all, which was another reason Tobirama decided to choose this jutsu for him to complete. It was also more effective when there is a line of enemies to take down, as it mainly depended on speed and accuracy.

The main idea was to create an invisible line of lightning natured chakra, a line of extremely condensed and thin chakra that could cut through the toughest metal. This chakra string, sort of like one you would use for puppet-controlling, would be sent through the entire line of shinobi, whether in a straight line, or in a circle surrounding you, then if you willed it to, it would slice through them all like paper.

Well, that was the main idea. It sounded quite easy, but in reality, sending out normal chakra string was no problem, but sending out highly condensed and thin chakra was no walk in the park. It was something like Chidori, though it had to be silent and invisible to the naked eye, making the concept even harder. The attack power wasn't actually that high, if used in actual combat situations, it could be used only for surprise attacks.

But if you are engaging in taijutsu with your opponent, as long as they aren't a sensor type, you can catch them of guard with this ninjutsu if you can land a hit on them. Then again, this would only work if your opponent is a genin or chunin unless you completely mastered the theory and practice of it.

Back to the present, Akira has now completed the ninjutsu. Tobirama had not approved of it before, though secretly he was really impressed for Akira was just a five-year old. Akira had to cast the ninjutsu again and again, modifying it every time, until his mentor and granduncle approved.

With a determined look in his eyes, Akira took a deep breath in and condensed chakra, adding lightning nature into his right hand, before striking out at the wooden dummy, slicing the rest of the long line of wood in half as well.

Akira let out a sigh of relief, and let a triumphant grin slip onto his face, obviously elated, "Oji-san! Did I finally get it right?"

Tobirama's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before grunting, "I guess it's passable. Your speed is still too slow, and in a real battle, your enemy isn't just going to stand there waiting for you to kill them."

He was actually really shocked, for Tobirama had only gave this unfinished work to Akira because he had kept on pestering him for a new jutsu. Tobirama would have never thought in a million years that Akira would actually finish developing this ninjutsu.

Akira, however, took his words too seriously. Just like his grandfather, the First Hokage, he became depressed, sulking in a corner, drawing on the ground with a stick muttering unintelligible phrases.

His great uncle's eye twitched at this. It reminded him too much of his own idiotic brother. The only difference, according to his opinion was his hair colour. Akira, like Tsunade's, was a bright platinum blonde instead of the dark black his own brother had. It was strange how their family had such varying hair colours and personalities.

Chaos ensued soon after, when for some reason Tobirama decided to praise Akira to cheer him up, but in return, Akira looked at him with pure horror, as if he had just saw a ghost.

'... Is he... trying to cheer me up? Oh my god, is the sky going to fall now?' was what he thought, scrambling in a theatrical manner, trying to get away from the now fuming Tobirama.

And apparently, that was the wrong decision to make. Because monstrous strength seemed to run in their blood, as Akira once again ended up with a bump on a bump on a bump on his head. So the moral of the story is probably don't mess with anyone in his family, though that pretty much goes without saying.

Akira had no regrets though, seeing that look on his normally stoic great-uncle was enough to get beaten black and blue with broken bones everywhere. In fact, he had been wanting to build up his pain resistance anyways, and his lovely and angelic twin sister Tsunade was helping a lot. Like, a lot.

Somewhere else, Tsunade sneezed twice again.

'Alright, next time someone talks bad about me, I'll- [Redacted] and then- [Redacted] then- [Redacted]!' Akira could practically feel the murderous intent rolling off Tsunade, with cold sweat dripping down his back.

Maybe it would have been better to reincarnate into some normal civilian family instead of this house full of lunatics and sadists...
