The wrestling community was going wild over "Shartterd Dreams" ppv. It had everything they wanted. Surprise debuts, top tier matches and Fan favorite winning the championship. Other people still couldn't believe it happened, Matt Cardona had finally joined a wrestling promotion that wasn't WWE. While others where saying the ppv had something special going, others where saying it was a one hit wonder and they bet that on Thursday the show won't attract an audience.
*Monday*
Edward sitting in his office was busy scratching his head on what to do next. Yes he had signed some of the biggest names on the planet, but what was going to be his next move? Just as he was finally losing hope, almost as if the heavens heard his worries. The phone rings, Edward takes a deep sigh to recover his composure as he answers. "Mayers, Hello?"
"Mr Mayers, how are you doing?" The man on the other phone said.
"I'm alright. Yourself?" Edward responded
"I'm okay. You're currently speaking to Paul Ellering."
Edward's eyes immediately light up. He knew the name. He was a legendary name within the wrestling community. Edward's voice took on a tone of excitement and respect. "Paul Ellering, the manager of the Authors of Pain? The legend himself? I'm honored to be speaking with you, sir."
Paul Ellering chuckled on the other end of the line. "Ah, Mr. Mayers, I'm flattered you'd remember me. I've heard a thing or two about your new venture, GCW I must say, I'm intrigued."
Edward's mind was racing with possibilities. What could Paul Ellering want? Was he looking to join my promotion?
"What can I do for you, Mr. Ellering?" Edward asked, trying to contain his enthusiasm.
"Please, call me Paul," Ellering said. "I've been following the rumors about GCW signing some big names. I think I might have a proposition that could benefit both of us. I'd like to discuss the possibility of working together, perhaps even bringing the Authors of Pain to GCW."
Edward's eyes widened at the prospect. The Authors of Pain, one of the most feared tag teams in wrestling history, returning to the ring for GCW? This could be the spark the company needed to ignite its launch. "I'd love to hear more, Paul. Let's talk," Edward said, his voice filled with anticipation.
"Let's get straight to it, then," Paul Ellering said. "I've been in touch with the Powers of Pain, and they're interested in reforming the team for GCW I think we could be a huge asset to your company, bringing in a mix of intensity, power, and charisma that fans would love."
Edward nodded enthusiastically, even though Ellering couldn't see him. "That sounds incredible. What kind of stipulations do you have in mind for their return?"
"Well, I think it's only fair that the Powers of Pain have a significant role in ECWZ," Ellering replied. "We're talking main event matches, championship opportunities, and creative input. We want to be part of shaping our own storylines and feuds."
Edward didn't hesitate. "That sounds reasonable. I believe in giving my talent the freedom to create and perform at their best. But, i hate to inform you that we currently have no tittles for the tag devison as of yet. However, I'd be open to discussing those details further. What about the dynamic between the two? Do you foresee any issues with Akam and Rezar working together?"
Paul Ellering's voice took on a thoughtful tone. "From what I've gathered, both men are eager to return to the ring and put on a show for the fans."
Edward smiled, envisioning the possibilities. "Alright, Paul. Let's make this happen. When can we finalize the details and make the official announcement?"
"I'll send over a proposal with all the specifics," Ellering said. "Let's aim to have everything wrapped up within the next week or so. Sound good to you?"
"Perfect," Edward replied. "I'm looking forward to working with you and the Authors of Pain, Paul. This could be the start of something amazing for GCW."
As the call ended, Edward felt a surge of excitement. The Authors of pain coming to GCW? This was going to be huge. He couldn't wait to share the news with his team and start planning the announcement. The momentum was building, and GCW was ready to make its mark on the wrestling world.
As the day proceeds, Ed makes his way to his creation team. JBL and a few other workers are sitting there.
"Hello everyone. " Ed said as he gets sited. "I'll get straight to the point. We dud good on 'Shartterd dreams'. But, we need something major to hook the audience. Infront of you are the names of our current roster. We have a total of forty four members, but we need more talent to attract fans. Any suggestions?"
Everyone in the room started looking at each other in awkwardsilence. It wasn't until JBL finally broke the ice.
"Ed. Are you looking for just big names or are you looking to develop your own talent?"
Ed, keeping his composure took his time to answer. Infront of him was a question that many would skip. Did he really want to go the WCW way of signing former WWE talent only or did he want to go the WWE way and creat his own stars from the ground up.?
After a few moments. Ed takes a deep sigh and gad finally found the answer to his question. "Both." He said calmy looking at JBL. "I'll go both ways. But, I don't want a roster more than eighty. What's more, i want it to be 35 on the female side and 45 on the mens side. I want 20 of the men shipped to the tag division and the rest pushing the solo divion. At least for now....So, if you have any suggestions, nows your time to contribute to this meeting."
A slim figured girl slowly raises her hand from the corner. "Umm. Sir, is what exactly are you looking for in those wrestlers?" She said softly.
Ed:
"Riky, was it? Let me ask you this. What do you think are the most important elements in a wrestling promotion?"
Riky:
"I'm not sure, sir."
Ed:
"Well then, let me tell you. The most must have things are what I'm about to tell you."
"One. We need a Mega heel. Someone so sinister and ruthless it makes people sick to their cores seeing him and they can't wait for his downfall. The perfect example of this is the 09 version of Randy and Roman as the 'Tribel Chief'."
"Two. We need a cowardly and over confident heel. Similar to the first one, but a little turned down. He doesn't want to fight for anything but when he sets his sights on something he gets it done. You can use Dirty Dom and The miz as examples. "
"Three. We need a Anti-hero. Someone who can blur the line of being a heel and a face at the same time at still gets cheered. You can take The Rock and The shield as examples of this."
"Forthly. We need a hero, someone who connects effortlessly with the Audience. The voice of the voiceless, a true role model. Take John Cena as a example."
"We also need the underdog. A guy who was always destined to fail, but shows that he can go the extra mile and hang with the top stars. Take Daniel Brayn, Mankid and Samy Zayn.
"We need a monster, someone who runs wild and gives fear to everyone. Fan or wrestler regardless."
Everyone present just nodded their heads as they listened to Ed continue.
"We also a wildcard. A high risk taker who will always have the crowd on their feet. All those things are a must have. If we get the right people to feel in those spots, I cam garentee you that we might make it big. Now here's what we can do....."
The meeting continued with ideas being brainstormed. They where starting starting the formation of each division. For the time bring Gallows and Anderson where going to help shape the tag division. Shanya and all former WWE female wrestlers where going to help the female side and Matt was going to help with the men's solo division.
