Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Blood Will Be Spilled – A Father’s Wrath

Lu Estate – War Command Center

The atmosphere was electric with fear and desperation.

Damian stood at the center, his black coat billowing as the storm outside raged just as violently as the storm inside him.

His eyes burned like twin flames, fists clenched so tight the veins on his forearms bulged with each pounding heartbeat. With a swift, violent motion, he knocked over the table, sending documents and shattered glass flying across the room.

"Mobilize the Shadow Unit. Lock down every exit out of the city. I want every street, every alley, every damn rooftop searched!"

His voice cracked like a whip through the room, leaving no space for hesitation.

This wasn't just a mission. This was survival. If he lost his son… if he lost Selina… there would be nothing left to save him from the darkness that had threatened to consume him for years.

The rage inside him was a roaring wildfire, uncontrollable and ready to burn down the entire city if that's what it took to bring his son home.

Scene Switch – Selina's Perspective

Selina sat on the cold marble steps, her legs unable to carry her any further.

Tears streamed down her face unchecked, her hands trembling violently as she clutched the tiny bracelet their son always wore—a single charm missing, just like him.

Her eyes stared blankly into the storm outside, her mind a broken reel replaying every moment she failed to keep her baby safe.

How much more must she endure? How many more nights must she survive with this unbearable weight pressing down on her chest?

Her mind screamed for hope, but hope felt like a cruel stranger standing just beyond her reach.

Her heart felt like a cracked porcelain doll, every piece held together by the thinnest, most fragile thread of a mother's faith.

Scene Switch – The Underground Hideout

The masked figure gently ran a gloved finger across the boy's cheek.

"Sleep tight, little prince. Your father's about to play the most dangerous game of his life."

A hidden timer on the wall clicked down. 04:59:55.

Meanwhile, high above the city, on the rooftop of the tallest skyscraper, Damian stood against the storm, the rain soaking through his clothes.

A single encrypted message flashed on his phone.

"One hour. Alone. Or you'll never see him again."

His eyes lifted toward the dark skyline, his voice a deadly whisper against the thunder.

"You have my son… but you don't know the devil you've just unleashed."
