Chapter 6 - Chapter six: Arrival at Hanul Highschool

As the young guy emerged from the Genesis G90, he and Linda began exchanging heated words. "You're going to pay for that! You just broke my side mirror!" he exclaimed.

Linda shot back, "You soaked me from head to toe! Apologize!"

The young guy refused, his face darkening. "Why should I? You're the one who's being unreasonable."

The argument escalated, with Linda's anger boiling over. She stepped closer to him, her eyes blazing. One of his bodyguards swiftly intervened, stepping between them. "Back off," he warned.

Linda smirked and took a step back, but when the bodyguard momentarily looked away, Linda swiftly punched the young guy, catching him off guard.

The bodyguard lunged forward, ready to retaliate, but a middle-aged man in a black designer suit intervened. "Stop," he commanded, his voice authoritative.

The middle-aged man turned to Linda, his expression apologetic. "I'm sorry about this incident. Please, let me compensate you." He handed her a wad of cash.

The young guy, still reeling from the punch, tried to protest as his face darkened "Secetary Kim!. You don't have to stalk me all day, I can handle things myself,".

The middle-aged man remained calm. "Let's not escalate this further."

"We can't just let her go. She just punched me" He exclaimed.

Linda pretended to lunge at the young guy, her hand raised. He flinched, backing away nervously. Linda smirked, satisfied.

With a swift motion, Linda hailed a passing taxi and slipped inside. As the taxi drove away, the young guy's face twisted in anger.

The young guy's expression darkened, his eyes fixed on the departing taxi. "This isn't over," he muttered.

Indeed, it wasn't over!. Linda didn't know that the young guy she had just mess with was the son of the richest man in Seoul and other cities around. He was Adam Williams, the only son of Mr. Adam, and the heir to his father's vast business empire. The Adam family was the most powerful in all of Korea, with influence and wealth that seemed untouchable. Unlike his father, a man driven by ambition and a desire for greatness, Williams was a playboy who only cared about having fun, attending parties and clubs, and messing around with girls. He had no interest in taking over the family business or following in his father's footsteps.

As Linda sat quietly in the taxi, she brought out the money the man had given her. It was a wad of Korean won, a substantial amount that could cover her living expenses for a while. She wondered who the man was, with his designer suit and authoritative demeanor, who could afford to hand out such a large sum of money so casually. His calm and collected attitude had been impressive, especially in the face of the young guy's tantrum.

And who was the young guy, with his entitled attitude and expensive car? His behavior had been appalling, but Linda couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at having stood up to him. She smiled to herself as she remembered his statement: "You don't have to stalk me. I can handle things myself." The phrase sounded familiar, and she chuckled, thinking about how often she used a similar phrase with her parents when they tried to pry into her personal issues at school. "I can handle it myself," she'd say, trying to assert her independence. It seemed the young guy shared a similar sentiment, albeit with a more arrogant tone.

A while later, the taxi arrived at her apartment building. Linda stepped out and walked into her cozy, one-bedroom apartment. The interior was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and plush furnishings that made her feel relaxed and at home. The walls were adorned with vibrant artwork, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of fresh flowers that her mother had sent over a day before she left home.

The living room was furnished with a comfortable beige sofa, a matching armchair, and a wooden coffee table . A large window let in plenty of natural light, illuminating the space and making it feel spacious. The kitchen was compact but well-equipped, with modern appliances and a breakfast bar where she could sat with a cup of coffee and her laptop.

Linda kicked off her shoes and sank into the sofa, feeling relieved to be home. She tossed the wad of cash onto the coffee table, still pondering the identities of the mysterious man and the young guy. Who were they, really?. She leaned back into the sofa, letting out a deep breath, and closed her eyes, letting her mind wander as she dozzed off to sleep.

Linda woke up feeling refreshed and determined to start her new chapter at Hanul High School. She began her day with a healthy routine, starting with a 30-minute workout session in her backyard. She practiced her karate moves, feeling the rush of adrenaline as she kicked and punched the air.

After her workout, she headed to the kitchen to prepare a simple yet nutritious breakfast. She whipped up a bowl of oatmeal with nuts and seeds, savoring each bite as she planned out her day. As she ate, she thought about her new school and the image she wanted to project. She wanted to show her new classmates that she was tough, fearless, and not to be messed with.

With her breakfast finished, she headed to her closet to get dressed in her Hanul High School uniform - a crisp white button-down shirt with a navy blue collar and cuffs, paired with dark gray pants that were both functional and stylish. She styled her long, dark blonde hair in a sleek, high ponytail, which accentuated her sharp features. She added a touch of personal flair with a silver watch and a bright smile.

Feeling ready to take on the day, Linda headed to the tiny garage in her portable house, where her father had left the surprise bike he had promised her. As she opened the garage door, she gasped in delight at the sleek, black Ducati Scrambler with chrome accents and a glossy finish. The bike seemed to gleam in the morning light, as if waiting just for her.

She hopped on, feeling the leather seat beneath her, and started the engine. The bike roared to life, and she felt a rush of adrenaline as she sped off towards school. As she navigated through the busy streets, passerby couldn't help but stare at the girl on the powerful bike. Some admired her riding skills, while others simply nodded in respect at her edgy style. Linda felt like a force to be reckoned with, and she knew she was ready to take on whatever challenges came her way.

When Linda got to the school, she pulled up to the school gates on her Ducati Scrambler, the sound of the engine drawing a few casual glances from students milling around the entrance. She parked her bike in a designated spot, locking it securely before grabbing her backpack. She stood still for a while as she scanned the whole environment. As she walked towards the school building, she noticed a group of students huddled near the entrance, chatting and laughing. They glanced at her briefly, their expressions neutral, before returning to their conversation.

Inside the administration office, Linda was greeted by a bespectacled staff member who efficiently processed her paperwork and handed her a student ID. Linda's dark skin stood out against the crisp white background of the ID photo she had submitted earlier. The staff member's eyes flicked briefly to her face, then back to the ID, before handing it to Linda with a polite smile.

With her ID in hand, Linda took a map of the school and studied it briefly, her eyes scanning the layout of classrooms, labs, and other facilities. She tucked the map into her backpack and turned to leave, her ponytail bobbing slightly as she moved.

As Linda walked out of the administration office, her eyes scanning the courtyard as she took in the sights and sounds of her new school. A group of students nearby glanced at her, their expressions ranging from curiosity to indifference. One student, a girl with a bright smile, broke away from her group and approached Linda.

"Hi, I'm Sophia," the girl said, extending her hand. "Welcome to Hanul High."

Linda shook Sophia's hand, returning her smile. "Thanks, I'm Linda."

As they exchanged greetings, another student, a boy with messy hair, wandered over to join them. "Hey, Sophia, who's this?" he asked, eyeing Linda with interest.

"This is Linda, our new student," Sophia replied. "Linda, this is Alex."

Linda nodded at Alex, who grinned and said, "Welcome to the chaos."

Meanwhile, a few students nearby watched Linda with a mixture of curiosity and wariness, their expressions unreadable. One girl whispered to her friend, "Is she new here?" and the friend shrugged, her eyes lingering on Linda's bike parked outside the gates.

As Sophia and Alex chatted with Linda, asking her about her interests and hobbies, a group of students walked by, their eyes flicking over Linda before quickly looking away. One of them muttered under her breath, but Linda didn't catch the words.

Sophia, however, seemed to sense the tension and steered the conversation towards a more interesting topic. "So, Linda, what do you like to do in your free time?"

Linda smiled, launching into a story about her karate training.

" I practice martial arts anytime I'm free. Infact, it's like a part of me" Linda said smiling freely.

Sophia's eyes lit up upon hearing Linda talk about martial arts. "You belong to the martial arts club, don't you? Our teacher, Mr. Kwon, would love to meet you."

Alex nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, this school has an amazing martial arts program. We have students who compete at the national level."

Linda's interest was piqued. "Really? I didn't know that."

Sophia smiled. "This school isn't just about academics. It's about exploring your passions and talents. Mr. Kwon always says that martial arts helps build discipline, focus, and confidence."

Alex added, "And it's a great way to relieve stress. You should totally join the club and meet Mr. Kwon. He's awesome."

Linda's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That sounds amazing. I'd love to check it out."

Sophia pulled out her phone and sent a quick text. "I'll let Mr. Kwon know you're interested. He'll probably want to meet you during lunch or after school."

As they continued to chat, Linda felt a sense of belonging growing stronger. She was excited to explore her passion for martial arts and make new friends who shared similar interests.
