The next morning, Jiho woke up to a headache that throbbed between his temples. The night before felt like a whirlwind — a blur of heated kisses, possessive touches, and Zoey's overwhelming presence. He had spent the night beside her, unsure of where the line between comfort and control began and ended.
But now, in the soft morning light filtering through the hotel window, Jiho could no longer ignore the chaos brewing inside him.
He had to face it.
The two Alphas were fighting over him, pulling him in different directions. And he had no idea how to navigate it.
As he dressed, he could feel Zoey's eyes on him. She had been quieter than usual, watching him as he moved, her gaze always lingering. It was like she knew what he was thinking, even if he didn't say it aloud.
"You're quiet today," Zoey remarked as she adjusted her suit in front of the mirror, her tone casual but with an edge.
Jiho gave a small shrug, trying to ignore the knot tightening in his chest.
"I'm fine," he replied, though the words felt hollow.
Zoey turned to him, her expression unreadable. She walked over, her heels clicking sharply against the floor. "You don't look fine."
Without warning, she grabbed his chin, forcing him to meet her eyes. The usual playful smirk was gone, replaced by something darker, more intense.
"You're mine, Jiho," she said firmly, her voice dropping lower. "And I don't share."
Jiho's heart skipped. He opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say anything, the door to the suite opened with a soft creak.
Jiho froze.
There, standing in the doorway with a confident smile, was none other than Yura.
She was dressed in a tailored blazer and slacks, her look polished and sharp. But her eyes — they were fixed on Jiho, burning with something between hunger and amusement.
Zoey immediately released her grip on Jiho's chin, her body stiffening. The air in the room shifted as the tension between the two Alphas crackled.
"You," Zoey said, her voice cold but laced with a dangerous smile. "I didn't expect you to be here."
Yura stepped inside, her heels tapping against the floor with purpose. "I thought I'd join you two for breakfast," she said, her voice smooth and confident, though there was a sharpness in her tone. "After all, we have some business to discuss."
Jiho's heart was in his throat. He didn't want to be caught between these two powerful women. But here he was.
Zoey didn't look pleased. "I'm not interested in your business, Yura," she replied, her eyes narrowing. "This isn't your territory."
Yura smiled, though there was nothing friendly about it. She stepped closer to Jiho, her presence overwhelming. "You've been spending a lot of time with Zoey, haven't you, Jiho?" she asked, her tone almost teasing.
Jiho's throat went dry, and he tried to step back, but Zoey's eyes were on him, her gaze possessive. "Don't move," she said softly, her voice laced with warning.
Yura smirked. "I think it's time we settled this once and for all."
Jiho's pulse raced. He could feel the weight of both their gazes on him, each one commanding, each one filled with unspoken promises. They were playing a dangerous game, and he was the prize.
"I don't want to fight," Jiho murmured, his voice strained.
Zoey's hand moved to his shoulder, her grip firm. "It's not a fight, Jiho," she said softly, her voice full of authority. "It's a choice. And you don't get to make it."
Before Jiho could protest, Yura stepped forward, her lips brushing against his ear. "You're mine, Jiho," she whispered. "And if you want freedom, you'll choose me."
The words sent a shiver down his spine, but Zoey was there, her presence immediately pulling him back to her side. "Don't listen to her," Zoey snapped, her voice fierce. "You belong to me."
Jiho's breath came in shallow gasps. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know what to feel.
Both Alphas were pushing him, testing him, and he felt like he was losing control.
Zoey turned to face Yura, her expression hardening. "You think you can take him from me? I've already marked him as mine. He won't go to you."
Yura didn't back down. She took a step closer, her eyes burning with determination. "You're underestimating me, Zoey," she said. "You think you've broken him, but I know Jiho. He's not as easy to control as you think."
The tension in the room was unbearable, each word cutting through the air like a blade. Jiho stood frozen, trapped between two forces, neither one willing to let go.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Zoey broke the silence. She stepped closer to Jiho, her fingers gently brushing his cheek. "I won't let anyone take you from me," she whispered. "You're mine."
Yura didn't flinch. "We'll see about that."
With that, she turned and left the room, her heels clicking sharply against the floor.
Zoey turned to Jiho, her face softening for a moment, though the possessiveness never left her eyes. "Don't worry, Jiho," she said, her voice low. "You don't need to choose. I've already chosen for you."
Jiho opened his mouth to respond, but no words came. He was lost, caught between two Alphas who wanted him, both pulling in different directions.
And in that moment, he realized one thing:
He would never be able to escape this.
