Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 :Combat Class

The next few students introduced themselves, but none of their Vessels left much of an impression.

"Is it just me, or do they all seem a bit... plain?" Raisa thought, slightly puzzled. "Maybe Kenji's Vessel was just too overwhelming, making the others seem ordinary."

Finally, it was Raisa's turn, as she sat closest to the front. She stood up and walked confidently to the front of the class.

"My name is Raisa. Nice to meet you all. My Vessel is Miranda," she introduced herself with a calm and clear voice.

"Alright, Raisa," Macau said, raising an eyebrow. "Could you share a bit more? Maybe your hobbies or aspirations?"

"Huh? Why only me?" Raisa questioned, tilting her head.

"Well, you don't seem nervous at all," Macau replied with a smirk. "Figured you could handle talking a bit longer."

"Alright," Raisa nodded. "I like traveling and eating spicy or sweet food. I haven't really thought about my future yet—maybe making games or going on adventures. I don't like bitter food or feeling exhausted."

"Great introduction," Macau said, nodding in approval. "Now, let's see your Vessel."

"Transform Vessel—Miranda!"

In an instant, Raisa transformed into Miranda—a tall, athletic woman with a well-toned, slightly muscular abdomen and an athletic build. Her outfit consisted of a brown sports wrap around her chest and long, thin fabric pants, highlighting her fit figure.

As the transformation completed, Miranda instinctively summoned her blessing—a sleek, black AK-203 rifle appeared in her hands. She noticed that she could also summon a box of ammo containing 80 rounds.

However, she quickly realized that every time she summoned the AK-203 or ammo, it consumed star energy. Summoning the rifle took 0.5 star energy, while each batch of ammo consumed 0.1 star energy.

"With only one star of energy right now, I have to be careful," Raisa calculated in her mind. Despite the limitations, she couldn't help but feel a sense of thrill holding the weapon.

The other students were left speechless, impressed by Miranda's commanding presence.

Macau couldn't help but be captivated by Miranda's striking appearance. He couldn't deny that Raisa's Vessel was impressive—especially knowing it was derived from the popular game Goddess MOBA. Naturally, the developers had designed the character to be visually stunning, and now that same charisma was brought to life.

Seeing everyone's awestruck expressions, Raisa confidently placed her hand on her hip, a smirk playing on her lips.

"Heh, of course they're amazed," she thought smugly. "Goddess MOBA was famous for its gorgeous characters, and now that one of them is right here, it's no wonder they're all speechless."

Raisa couldn't help but feel a little triumphant, enjoying the moment of admiration from her classmates and even Macau.

After basking in the admiration, Raisa finally reverted to her original form—a tomboyish girl with short hair.

"Hahaha! Pretty impressive, right? You guys must be stunned!" Raisa boasted confidently.

Macau raised an eyebrow, slightly annoyed by her enthusiasm. Though her Vessel was undeniably captivating, her overly active personality and complete lack of stage fright made Macau think she was a bit much.

"With that kind of personality, she'd be perfect as the class leader," he mused.

"Alright, since everyone has introduced themselves, it's time to choose the class leader," Macau announced. "Take a piece of paper and write down the name of the person you think should be the leader."

Raisa froze for a moment. A class leader election? She hadn't even memorized her classmates' names yet—except for Kenji, whose nervousness made him unforgettable.

"Sorry, Kenji," Raisa thought, scribbling his name on her paper.

Macau collected the papers, then stood at the front of the room. "Let's count the votes."

He opened the first slip.

"Kenji!"

Everyone looked at Kenji, who instantly paled, sweat dripping from his forehead.

"Raisa!"

"Huh? Me? Who picked me?" Raisa murmured.

"Raisa!"

"Again?!"

"Raisa!"

...

After counting the votes, Macau revealed the final tally.

"Kenji: 1 vote. Raisa: 11 votes."

Raisa's eyes widened. That meant everyone else had voted for her, and only she had voted for Kenji.

Macau couldn't help but smirk at Kenji's relieved expression. Deciding to tease him a bit more, Macau announced,

"Since there are only two candidates, Raisa will be the class leader, and Kenji will be the vice leader!"

"What?!" Kenji yelped, panic evident on his face.

"Come up here, both of you," Macau instructed. Raisa stepped forward confidently, while Kenji reluctantly dragged himself up, his shirt now soaked with cold sweat.

"Teacher, I don't even know what a class leader does," Raisa admitted.

"Don't worry," Macau replied. "A class leader just represents the class and helps the teacher with a few tasks. Plus, Kenji will assist you, so it's fine."

Raisa glanced at Kenji, who looked like he was on the verge of passing out, and couldn't help but regret her decision.

"If only I had picked a more confident student... but I can't even remember their names," Raisa thought, hoping that as time went by, she'd eventually get to know her classmates better.

After class ended, the students were dismissed and started heading home. Since the school was quite close, Raisa could easily walk by herself. However, her mom, Sakura, was worried, so she came to pick her up. At first, Raisa felt embarrassed, but after seeing other kids being picked up by their mothers too, she didn't mind as much.

"So, how was it? Did you make any friends?" Sakura asked cheerfully.

Raisa hesitated. "Uh... I don't really remember their names. I only remember Kenji because his Vessel was super muscular and... shirtless."

"Oh? My daughter is starting to notice muscular boys, huh?" Sakura teased.

"No, no! If you saw it, you'd remember too! His Vessel just stood out from the rest," Raisa replied, flustered.

"You mean that nervous-looking boy?" Sakura pointed out, noticing a young boy clinging to his mother's leg.

"Hello, Marsa!" Sakura greeted.

"Oh, Sakura! Long time no see! How are you?" Marsa replied warmly.

"Huh? Mom, you know Kenji's mom?" Raisa asked, confused.

Sakura gave her a look. "Of course. They're our neighbors from across the street."

"Wait, really?!"

"Well, you wouldn't know since you're always cooped up at home," Sakura sighed.

Marsa looked at Raisa with a smile. "Sakura, I always thought your kid was a boy since she usually wears boys' clothes. Turns out she's a girl! If her hair was a bit longer, she'd look so cute!"

"Yeah, she's such a tomboy. I've tried convincing her to wear cuter outfits, but it's a struggle," Sakura admitted.

"Haha, what a unique kid. How about we set her up with Kenji?" Marsa joked.

Kenji, who overheard, immediately panicked and hid behind his mother, peeking out with wide, terrified eyes.

Raisa was stunned. "Wait, what? Shouldn't I be the one to object here? Why's the guy acting all shy? That's not manly at all!"

"Sure," Sakura responded nonchalantly.

Raisa's jaw dropped. "Wait! No, no! We just met!"

"But Kenji's the only name you remembered, right?" Sakura teased.

"That's because he stood out—he was the most nervous!" Raisa protested.

"So, he left the biggest impression on you," Sakura concluded with a knowing smirk.

"No! That's not what I meant!" Raisa shouted, her face turning red.

Marsa chuckled. "Let's not rush things. Let's just have them be friends first. My boy's too shy anyway."

Kenji nodded furiously from behind his mother, while Raisa couldn't help but feel embarrassed by the whole situation.
