Chapter 10 - Handsome

"You will," he said simply. "In time."

Before I could fire back, a voice crackled through the intercom, smooth and professional.

"Sir, we'll be landing in approximately thirty minutes."

My stomach twisted. Landing. That meant they were taking me somewhere—somewhere i had no control over.

I turned to Anderson, my fists clenching. "Where are you taking me?"

But he only smiled, a knowing, almost amused expression crossing his face.

"Home."

I swallowed hard, forcing myself to stay calm despite the storm raging inside me . I took a slow breath before speaking.

"Could you at least tell me where we're going?" My voice was steadier this time, but there was still an edge of unease beneath it.

Anderson met my gaze, his smirk never faltering.

"Russia."

My stomach dropped. Russia? I had expected anything but that.

I barely had time to process the shock before the words slipped out of my mouth, completely unfiltered.

"No wonder you all are handsome."

The second i heard myself , my entire body went rigid. My eyes widened in absolute horror as the realization of what I had just said crashed down on me like a tidal wave.

Oh. My. God.

Heat rushed to my face so fast i thought I might actually combust. What was wrong with me? Of all the things to say—that?

I wished the plane would just open up and swallow me whole. Maybe i could throw myself out mid-flight. That would be less painful than this humiliation.

Aaron raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. Alex let out a low whistle.

"Well, that was unexpected," he mused.

Anderson, on the other hand, looked entirely too pleased with himself. His smirk deepened, eyes gleaming with amusement.

I groaned internally. I'm going to kill myself from embarrassment.

Aaron's head tilted slightly, and then, just as I feared, his lips curled into a slow, amused smirk.

"Oh? You think we're handsome?" he mused, his voice thick with amusement.

I am going to die. Right now. On this plane. Just let the earth swallow me whole.

Alex didn't miss a beat. He leaned back, stretching his arms lazily behind his head. "Thanks for the compliment, sweetheart."

I wanted to throw myself out of the jet. My hands flew to my face as if that could somehow undo the last five seconds of my life.

What is wrong with me?!

I stared straight ahead, refusing to make eye contact, my entire body on fire from sheer embarrassment.

I will never speak again ever!!!
