I remained silent while the king took a seat across from me. He was looking at me with a faint smile curled on his lips.
"I heard that you attacked him in his sleep, warranting his hostility toward you."
That's when I spoke up in that moment, "I didn't do such things."
Some part of me prays that King would take this opportunity to save me from the prince's cruelty. Most of all, revenge.
The king nodded like he believed me, "Although I don't know you very well, I have a feeling that you aren't vicious and willing to attack a vulnerable person."
My brows twitched on the spot. Why is the king acting like I'm an innocent person? The king knows I'm not innocent based on attacking the prince's fiancé.
The king stared at me and said lightly, "My son and I haven't been getting along lately, and he doesn't listen to me anymore, nor does he respect me."
