Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Professor McGonagall was surprised

"When did you start to realize the existence of magic?"

Professor McGonagall's voice was low and serious, with a hint of professionalism that could not be ignored.

Facing the question, Damon smiled and stretched out his hand, palm facing up.

As far as he knew, Professor McGonagall was an absolutely good person. Damon felt more at ease showing his talent in front of her than in front of Dumbledore.

After all, the old bee might still have concerns because of his great talent, and consider how to treat him carefully or even arrange him.

But Professor McGonagall, I'm afraid, will only consider whether to let him play Quidditch in the future.

However, the reason why Damon wanted to show off his skills was actually more of an interaction with the character - the witch in the book appeared in front of you, don't you want to chat with her?

"At first, this feeling was a little difficult to grasp, but now, it's almost like an arm."

Damon stood tall and talked freely. As he watched, a faint ripple gradually appeared in the air above his palm.

Then, a feather pen on the table quickly floated to the air, and under Damon's control, it drew an elegant arc in the air.

"I can feel that magic is part of my body, moving with my will, and even - changing."

As soon as the voice fell, the quill fell into Professor McGonagall's hand and turned into a fountain pen.

Damon met Professor McGonagall's gaze and bowed slightly, elegant and calm.

Professor McGonagall's eyes were full of surprise and admiration. She leaned forward slightly and carefully observed the fountain pen in her hand. Her eyes behind the lens were very focused.

"Damon, I have to admit that considering your current age and academic background, this is quite surprising." Her voice was rigorous but gentle. "It is extremely rare to have such precise control of magic before entering school, even among the freshmen of Hogwarts."

McGonagall couldn't help but think of the 'boy who survived' Harry Potter.

Even that child, I'm afraid he couldn't do this at this moment?

But after hearing Hagrid say that the child had already got a wand of extraordinary significance

, Professor McGonagall stood up and asked curiously:

"How did you do it? Here, no one can guide you to learn magic. Did you figure it out by yourself?"

Seeing Professor McGonagall's serious and curious eyes, Damon showed a funny expression on his face. It was wonderful to see the characters in the book show such a vivid scene in front of him.

"It was indeed I who figured it out. After receiving the admission notice, I realized that I had a certain talent, so the talent should not be wasted.

During the days of waiting, I began to try to sense this talent and try to master it."

Damon looked directly into Professor McGonagall's eyes. When he heard "during the days of waiting", a hint of apology flashed in the other's eyes. He smiled slightly and said:

"As for my method of exploration, it can be summed up in six words."

  "Perception, application, reflection."

The young man had a slender figure, and he answered fluently even when standing in front of Professor McGonagall. His posture was like a tall poplar, revealing an innate elegance and confidence.

McGonagall listened to the method from the boy's mouth, looked at his soft and delicate face, and was uncontrollably attracted by his deep blue eyes. These eyes were very smart, and the twinkling light in them was like stars, full of curiosity and desire to explore the world.

With such a posture, such words, and such talent, this child will definitely become an outstanding graduate of Hogwarts in the future.

Seeing that Professor McGonagall seemed a little dazed, Damon smiled, leaned over gracefully, and asked softly:

  "Professor?"

"Well, I just remembered an old friend."

McGonagall coughed lightly, trying to cover up her absent-mindedness just now, but there was still an uncontrollable surprise in her eyes.

"You said it very well. Being able to summarize such a method shows that you are more intelligent than ordinary people."

She paused unconsciously for a moment, thinking to herself:

Perhaps, she should tell Dumbledore about Damon's situation in detail. After all, only he can plan the most suitable growth path for Damon.

A talent like Damon, if guided properly, will surely become the mainstay of the magical world in the future; but if there is a slight mistake, he will take a detour.

Thinking of the fact that he also came from an orphanage, Professor McGonagall's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she thought of a certain existence whose name could not even be mentioned.

When Dumbledore found Tom in the orphanage, was he in the same mood as she was now?

Professor McGonagall suddenly understood Dumbledore a little.

But soon, she reacted and drove away the thought in her mind.

No, with her as the guide of this child, he will definitely get on the right track.

Professor McGonagall calmed down and said to Damon:

"Child, wait here for a moment, I will go to talk to your headmaster mother about something."

Along the way, she has witnessed many things caused by the different attitudes of Muggle parents towards magic, and now she is familiar with it.

But when it comes to Damon, McGonagall suddenly found that she was a little nervous again.

However, everything went smoothly beyond her expectations, and even made her feel a little angry.

When she proposed to take Damon away, the headmaster agreed without hesitation, and even did not ask any questions.

Her reaction was as calm as water, without doubt or trust, just accepting the decision.

And Damon did not express anything about this matter, just nodded calmly and said goodbye to the headmaster.

The two of them were calm, but Magg was a little bit restless.

There was no worry, no question.

She imagined that he would ask eagerly, or at least care about Damon's future plans, but none of that happened.

Magg's face turned colder, and she left with Damon in silence without making any more trouble.

Her cold attitude surprised the director's mother, and even made her worried. However, when she saw that Damon just smiled and waved goodbye to her, she gradually calmed down.

As soon as Magg left the orphanage with Damon, she snorted coldly.

Damon heard Professor McGonagall's snort and looked at her with some confusion, and asked softly:

  "Professor, what happened?"

Professor McGonagall looked down at Damon, with a complicated look in her eyes:

"Just now I told your dean that I would take you to Hogwarts, and she let you go with me easily without any hesitation or questioning. If it were other parents, they would definitely ask me repeatedly to find out my identity."

Damon was stunned for a moment, and suddenly laughed, looking at Professor McGonagall with a gentler look:

"Professor, you misunderstood. I had already told the dean about the school's visit.

The dean just trusted me like you, believed that the choice I made would not be wrong, and believed that the person I followed would not be a bad person, so she was so relieved just now."

  "Oh - is that so!"

After hearing this, the dissatisfaction in Professor McGonagall's eyes instantly dissipated, replaced by a trace of self-blame.

"I blamed her wrongly - next time we meet, please apologize to her for my rudeness just now."

  "Well, I will."

  What a good child.

Mag looked at Damon's smile, as if she was infected by h

im. Her usually serious and calm face showed a rare gentle smile.

"Come on, I'll take you to Diagon Alley."
