Ethan had just settled into his villa, adjusting to the lavish surroundings, when a sleek black car pulled up. He raised an eyebrow as the car came to halt in front of his villa.
It was Midnight Phantom-X. A hyper limited edition beast of a machine. Sleet curves, matt black finish, glowing LED trims and a custom logo shaped like a phoenix wrapped in black flames. The car was roaring quietly as if flexing its 1200 horsepower without trying too hard.
A man in a neat suit stood beside the car. MId-40s, clean shaven,with a professional. He walked forward and bowed slightly.
" Are you Mr. Ethan?" He asked carefully.
"Yeah, that's me." Ethan replied.
The man's expression twitched. His eyes darted between the villa, phantom-x, and this casually dressed teenager.
What the hell? A teenager owns a villa in Elowen and this limited edition car? Which family is he from?
"Give me the key." Ethan said seeing him zoned out.
"Ahaha, forgive me , Sir Ethan. I didn't know you were so young and talented." The man said." If you ever need anything sir, like more super cars, yachts girls—I mean assistants, here is my card."
He slipped a fancy black business card into Ethan's hand.
Ethan raised an eyebrow.
This guy's trying to get on my good side, sure enough where's the money, there will always be licking dogs here and there.
" Sure."
As the man drove off, Ethan walked back toward his villa.
But then he heard footsteps.
He turned.
And saw her.

She stood in a casual dress, holding a box of sweets.
"You?" She blinked." What are you doing here?"
" I live here." He grinned.
"You? Live here?" Rhea was surprised, her eyes darted to the Midnight Phantom X, then the villa behind him.
Ethan knew what she was thinking. She didn't believe him. How could she trust his words? A guy who is constantly bullied, beaten in the school, suddenly wanted to get close with him and now he is her neighbor. She couldn't trust anyone easily, get close with anyone easily, her family was a constant target of assassinations, she can't afford to trust any outsider easily.
She wanted to ask something, but a deep voice interrupted.
A tall man with a sharp gaze and commanding presence walked over. He looked to be in his forties, dressed in a grey tailored suit. A woman followed beside him, she was elegant and graceful. She was wearing a grey gown matching him.
"Dad. Mom." Rhea stepped back slightly.
The man glanced at Ethan." Who's this?"
" A classmate." she answered, keeping her tone neutral.
" I see." Augustin nodded slightly, then gave Ethan a closer look.
The woman offered a small smile." Hello, I'm Rhea's mother. And you are?"
Julia Marclaire, born in a normal middle class family, with her hard work she became personal secretary of Augustin Marclaire, they dated each other, and married after a while. They both were very good people, always wanted to help people, every year they both donated 20% of their personal income to orphanages, old age homes, etc.
Their only problem was they both are too good for this world, maybe that's why they both got killed. They both died before Rhea's story started in the novel and her story never ended, and I never got to know the reason behind their death.
" Young man, young ma-" Julia called, after seeing there was no reaction from the other end.
"Sorry, Ma'am. I'm just at a loss at words seeing how beautiful you are. By the way I'm Ethan.Nice to meet you."
" Oh My! You are a smooth young man. Unfortunately for you ,you are 20 years late and I've got the best husband."
"No no, you misunderstood me ma-"
"But, our greatest treasure is here," she silently gestures at Rhea," Maybe you can obtain it." She whispered so softly that even Rhea and Augustin couldn't hear her.
Again Ethan was lost at words.
Just then , Augustin silently turned towards his assistant, who was waiting near the car." Check him." he whispered.
While Rhea, Julia and Ethan were talking, the assistant returned and whispered into Augustin's ear.
" His background is clean, sir. A regular student, who gets bullied a lot, lives with his, a normal lower middle class family, but his mother is apparently the estranged daughter of the Raven family."
"If it's the Raven family," Augustin's eyes flickered for a moment." Interesting."
" Is this your house?" he asked Ethan.
" Yes."
Julia was surprised knowing that this villa belonged to Ethan, but what surprised her was seeing how excited her husband was. It's been a while since she saw him this excited," Maybe, he found something interesting."
" Since you both are getting along, why don't you join us for dinner. We are going to Sky Orchid." Julia laughed softly, clearly enjoying her husband's reactions. She saw her husband's eyes glowed like halogen when she invited Ethan.
Before Ethan could reply something, he heard a familiar sound.
