Chapter 29 - Episode 27 — The One Who Sees Too Much

There are those who fight fate. There are those who accept it.

And then there are those who watch it —not to intervene, but to understand when it will break.

Somewhere between the Eastern Sky and the Frozen Court,in a realm untouched by the laws of light or distance,a figure stirred in the Observatory of the Blind Moon.

Her name was Zhen Ye.

The Record Keeper.

She did not blink. She did not breathe. She did not exist in the way most beings do.

But she saw.

Everything.

And right now, her gaze was turned on a girl with trembling hands…and the god who refused to let them go.

"The flame has split," she murmured, tracing a swirling pool of water with her nail-thin finger."Two threads. One soul. And one… mouth."

Her lips quirked — a rare show of emotion.

"It will speak soon."

🌸 Peach Blossom Sect

The silence between Lian Qiao and Mo Yujin stretched longer than she could stand.

They stood in the courtyard, her hand in his, the scorched remnants of her failed training still smoldering around them.

She finally spoke.

"The flame inside me… it's waking up. Not like before. Not memory. Not grief.Something older."

Yujin nodded. "It's the Fifth."

She looked up at him. "You knew?"

"I suspected the moment the tether between us started… twitching. Flame doesn't do that."

Qiao pulled her hand back slowly.

"I think… I think it's learning me," she said. "Not controlling me. Just… waiting.Watching."

Mo Yujin's jaw tightened.

He remembered the last time a flame had "watched" someone.

That person no longer existed.

He didn't say that.

Instead:

"Let me place a seal on it."

She stiffened. "You want to bind it?"

"No. Just listen to it with me."

That made her pause.

"I can anchor your flame," he said softly. "Not extinguish it. Just share the weight."

And gods, how she wanted to say yes.

But before she could answer—

The air shifted.

❄️ Meanwhile — The Frozen Court

Xue Ran stood before a glacial mirror, arms folded behind her back.

Her reflection did not match her expression.

Because something else was speaking through it.

"You should not move yet," the reflection whispered in a voice not hers."Let the girl burn. She will seal herself again. She always does."

Xue Ran's lips curled.

"I don't want her sealed," she replied."I want her to shatter."

And the reflection smiled — her smile.

🌌 Observatory of the Blind Moon

Zhen Ye pressed a finger into the surface of her scrying pool.

A ripple echoed across the realm.

"One sees too much," she said."One feels too much.""And the third? The third has not yet remembered what she gave away."

She turned to a scroll lying sealed on the floor beside her.

It pulsed red.

"Then it is time… to awaken the Twin Flame Mirror."

🌠 Back at the Sect

Qiao flinched suddenly.

Her flame mark burned — not with heat, but with recognition.

Something—Someone—had just looked directly at her soul.

And smiled.
