"I think you rubbed enough." Sunny snorted, looking at the man child rubbing his palm on his sleeve. It was a shame really. This was probably his first proper clothing he had worn in a while.
"No. I can't have your enzymes break down my perfect skin!" Asher cried as he rubbed even harder.
Sunny's brows twitched, 'This bastard...'
He couldn't shout however. They both were victims already of countless eyes, to a point were Sunny himself was uncomfortable! Asher meanwhile was melting under the heat. "Y-You should be grateful I am still talking to you!" Asher voiced, causing Sunny's blood pressure to spike. 'I would be more than happy if you didn't talk to me!'
But then, he remembered Jet's words. 'No one can survive in the dream realm alone..'
"Tsk."
"Did you just click your tongue?"
"Yes." Sunny answered with zero hesitation. Asher was about to say something when his eyes wandered elsewhere.
There was a girl in front of them. Pale blond hair, big blue eyes and exquisite face, she looked like a beautiful porcelain doll.
'Cassie..' Asher realized, his face unknowingly contracting into a grimace. She... was someone Asher didn't like. After what she did, it was perfectly reasonable hate as well. Sunny looked at the girl, quickly understanding her flaw as he looked back at Asher.
His expression said it all. He was uncomfortable as well, just like everyone else.
Sunny sighed as he walked up to the table.
Tawk, tawk.
Footsteps continued to follow him from behind.
He frowned.
"Hey Asher, why are you following me?" Sunny asked in a cold tone. Asher tilted his head in confusion. "I have nothing better to do," Sunny didn't say anything, proceeding to sit at the table, the noise clearly flinching Cassie.
Asher frowned looking at her. At times like this, he wished he had a different flaw. The girl before him was an important character in the story.
A VERY important one at that.
He knew he had no choice but to befriend her. More importantly, he needed Cassie to not utter a word about his attributes as she could see them.
Asher observed Cassie. The latter was clearly reading Sunny's attributes.
Then she turned to Asher to read his.
'N-No w-way…'
Hastily, she averted her eyes from Asher's, leaving him to frown in confusion. 'She just read my attributes. I know they're unusual, but why does she seem so frightened? Is it because of my [Mark of Anomaly] attribute, or is it just shock?' He cursed.
'Damn it! I can't make sense of this seer!'
"I am Awakened Rock. Sleepers, welcome to the Academy."
his thoughts were interrupted with the sudden voice. Asher flinched as he saw a tall man. An absurdly tall man. He looked at Sunny, who was clearly holding a snicker, presumably due to his thoughts.
And so, the opening ceremony started. Despite knowing most of everything, Asher still listened. After all, his memory was volatile.
"That is all for today. Next, follow the instructions sent to your communicators to find your assigned dormitory. Once settled, you may proceed to the cafeteria for some late supper. There will be a round of interviews after that, to prepare your suggested curriculums. Get a good night's rest. Your training starts tomorrow."
Everyone rose from there seat while Asher stretched his arms. Sunny Also got up, looking at Asher for a second. Asher, noticing his gaze, just smiled awkwardly, seemingly saying, 'What?'
Sunny felt his eye twitch at the dazzling smile as he said, "I'm leaving to dorms." He gulped as he turned around, "See... you.. around.." The last three words left him breathless but he remembered Jet's words again, his face turning stern once more.
Asher tilted his head as he nodded a bit, "Umm.. S-See you later!" Asher instantly felt a rush of joy as he clenched his hand. He said it! Barely stuttering as well! With this, he was confident that he could speak to Sunny like a normal human.
He looked around, there didn't seem to be anyone...
"I should go as well."
He got up but that was when he saw Cassie still there, silently looking at the table.
"D-Do you want help getting to the dormitories?"
Asher asked with a frown. Even though he didn't like her, it was still against his morals to not help a blind person. Cassie didn't respond.
Asher rolled his eyes. "U-Uh, I'm talking t-to you blonde girl!"
Cassie looked at him, eyes wide but quickly looked them, avoiding eye contact. "A-Ah Sorry!"
'She did that so I don't feel uncomfortable..' Asher realized, the thought making him frown.
"So, will you come?"
"O-Ok."
Asher grabbed Cassie's hand, making Cassie flinch. "Asher," he introduced himself.
"C-Cassia, a pleasure."

As Asher stepped into his room, a sense of relief washed over him. Closing the door behind him, he let out a long sigh. "Finally," he muttered to himself, the tension of the day slowly melting away. He severely miscalculated how hard it was talking to people!
He dropped to his knees as he looked at his room. It was small, but cozy.
"Grr.."
His stomach made a sound as he sighed. He didn't eat since getting out of the nightmare, so it made sense. "I wonder when dinner is..."
But then he grinned. He should have time to check his stats.
