Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 – The Dream of Warning, and the Heirs Await

[INT. ZYREN'S MIND – DREAMSCAPE – ETERNAL VOID]

The world faded to black.

No shadows. No wind. No heat.

Only silence.

Then… he appeared.

A being cloaked in spiraling darkness — his presence a gravity that bent reality.

The Dark God.

---

> Dark God (calm, heavy):

"Zyren… my son."

Zyren stood in the emptiness, blinking, breath caught in his throat.

> Zyren (tense):

"You… how are you—?"

> Dark God:

"This is your mind, not your world.

My body and powers may be sealed… but my will can never be silenced."

The silence pulsed again. Then the Dark God raised a hand.

> Dark God:

"You must not attack during the Divine School Competition."

---

> Zyren (frowning):

"Why not? I'm ready. I beat Silent Death. I have an army—"

> Dark God (firm):

"You are not ready for what you do not yet understand."

---

The void shimmered — and a vision appeared:

A vast, glowing arena suspended between stars.

Six realms converged — and a single throne floated far above them all.

> Dark God:

"The competition will be held on sacred ground.

The place where the Absolute God first descended and revealed himself."

Zyren's expression shifted.

> Zyren:

"Absolute… God? Who is that?

Why are you afraid of him?"

The Dark God's voice darkened — not with fear, but with respect.

> Dark God:

"He is the only being from whom all energy flows.

He did not rise. He was always."

> "He created me. He created the Gods.

He created the laws we obey."

---

> Dark God:

"If he is angered… if that place is desecrated…

He may destroy us all.

He doesn't follow the rules of the world.

He wrote them."

> "And he follows them only to teach others that power still answers to purpose."

Zyren took a slow step back, eyes wide.

> Zyren (softly):

"Then… he could erase even you?"

> Dark God:

"Without hesitation."

---

> Dark God:

"But that is not the only reason."

The vision shifted — showing the six Divine Schools… and the gods watching from above.

> Dark God:

"The second reason… is the gods themselves.

If the divine couples attend together — even I, while sealed, cannot defeat them."

> "Their combined force would destroy you… and everything we've built."

---

> Zyren:

"So what should I do?"

> Dark God (quietly):

"Observe.

Watch how they fight. Learn how they think."

> "Then strike after the final echo.

When the light is tired… and the world is watching the wrong direction."

Zyren's fists clenched.

> Zyren:

"Understood."

> "But tell me one thing… how are you speaking to me at all?

You're sealed. Shouldn't even this be impossible?"

The Dark God turned slowly, and his voice dropped to a whisper:

> Dark God:

"My body may be caged.

My powers may be bound.

But my will…"

> "My will can never be sealed."

---

[INT. DIVINE REALM – GODLY HALL OF COUNCIL – SAME NIGHT]

Across six divine thrones, all God couples met in projection.

Light God Alarion and Light Goddess Lyria,

Time God Aion and Time Maiden Aestra,

Space Gods, Elemental Gods,

Living Creation Gods, Nonliving Creation Gods.

Their shared decision echoed:

> Alarion:

"We will attend."

> Aion:

"The time is right."

> Lyria (softly):

"Let us see what they've become."

---

[EXT. LIGHT SCHOOL – OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT COURTYARD]

Elarion stood tall before the 300 assembled elite students.

> Elarion:

"The Divine School Competition begins in three weeks."

> "Top 20 shall rise.

They will earn the title of Elite Students."

> "But among those 20… eight shall become heirs."

Gasps rang through the crowd.

> "The children of gods may be among them…

But the title is not inherited.

It is earned."

> "Fight for it."

---

[INT. ELITE STUDENT HALL – NIGHTFALL]

Lyrion sat silently near the divine fountain.

Veloria approached from behind.

> Veloria:

"They're coming."

> Lyrion (nodding):

"Then it's time we prove why we were born."

Her hand brushed his for a moment.

The anklet pulsed softly.

And across realms…

a god's will watched silently from within the boy.
