Scene 1:"Maya's Room-late Night" She lies in bed, eyes open, staring at the ceiling. the file still sits on the table, untouched.
Maya(Thinking):
He wants me to read it. Wants me to question everything i knew about my father... But i won't give him the satisfaction.
Cut to: Caleb watching her through a security camera feed
He stands alone in a dark hallway, silent, arms crossed. His eyes stay on the screen-on her.
Caleb(Thinking):
I took her because it feel like the final move. An eye for an eye. A way to crush what was left of Serrano's legacy.
But now....I don't know what the hell I'm doing.
He exhales slowly, staring at her curled-up form on the screen.
Caleb (Questioning himself):
Why couldn't I just kill her? Why is she still here? Why do I hesitate..... every time I look at her?
He just clenches. He runs a hand down his face, frustrated and restless.
Henrik (off-panel, voice low): "You've been standing here a while.... What are you thinking, boss?"
Caleb doesn't turn. His eyes stayed fixed on the screen.
Caleb: "She should be dead."
Henrik( calmly, but cautious): "Then why isn't she"
Caleb doesn't respond. His jaw tightens.
Henrik (after a beat): "She's not just hostage, is she?"
Caleb's silence is answer enough. Henrik studies him, but he doesn't push further.
Caleb(DeepInThoughts):
She's just a piece in the game... so why does it feel like I'm the one being played?
He lingers another moment before finally turning away from the monitor , something heavy pressing in his chest.

Scene 2:"Maya's room, earlymorning"
The sun rises slowly outside the window. Maya sits on the edge of the bed, staring at the locked door. Her face is calm, but her eyes burn with quite resolve.
Maya (Thinking):
I've spent days mourning. Hating, Waiting.
But I won't just sit here anymore. I'm not his pawn..... I'll find a way out.
She stands and moves toward the window. She presses her palm against the glass - it doesn't budge. The frame looks old and worn, but the latch is firmly shut. Maya tries the latch gently - it doesn't budge.
Maya (Thinking):
Stuck... figures. Even the windows feel like prison bars.
She turns away slowly, glancing back once more before shifting her focus to the door - and the guards outside.
Scene shift: Caleb in his office
Caleb stands at his desk, adjusting the cuffs of his crisp black dress shirt. His tailored black pants fit perfectly, and a dark brown overcoat hangs neatly on a chair nearby. One of his men standing nearby holding a phone.
Guard: "The meeting with the east supplier is ready. They're expecting you."
Caleb (gruffly): "Tell them I'll be there in 15.Make sure no one slacks while I'm gone."
He glance once at the surveillance screen showing Maya's room.
Caleb(Thinking):
She hasn't touched the file. She still won't look me in the eyes. Why do I care? She's not supposed to matter...
Guard: "She's been quiet. Too quite."
Caleb (to his man): "Keep an eye on her. No mistake."
He grab his coat and leaves the mansion.

A knock at the door. A guard steps in holding a tray of food.
Guard (gruffly):
"Eat."
He sets the tray on the table and turns to leave without looking at her.
Maya (softly):
"Wait."
He pauses but doesn't turn around.
Maya (quietly, almostawhisper):
"He's not here.... is he?"
Guard (tense): "What?"
Maya (steppingforward): "Caleb. He always brings my meals. He checks the cameras. Talks to me like he's still trying to prove he's human."
Her voice is calm, deliberate - but her eyes are sharp.
Maya: "He's not here today. That's why you came."
The guard hesitates. She sees it.
Maya (pressing): "Did he run off to make another deal? Kill someone else's father this time.?"
Guard (snapping): "He's at a meeting. He'll be back soon. So don't try anything."
Butit's too late. The spark is lit.
Mays (Thinking): "He's gone. GoodI'llbesuretothank him when he return."
