Chapter 3 - Chapter three: Preparation for the visit

---

"I have to pack some stuff," saying that, he went to gather all of the stuff he needed for the visit. He gathered a bottle of water, money, a bag, a dagger, and some extra stuff he needed. He was going to leave tomorrow, so he just relaxed that day.

He goes and lays on his bed. Letting out a sigh, he thinks about what he needed to buy. Well, his main goal wasn't groceries, but rather something else. His goal was to kill... and maybe be rich, maybe?

After some time of thinking, he got out of bed and went to the table. Hungry, he went outside and found a rabbit. After hunting it down he started cooking it.

All this took about an hour

After half an hour, he made a meal.

After finishing the meal, he went outside to practice some archery.

Looking at his bow with curiosity, he used the bracelet to scan it:

| Dark Bow |

Grade: 3

Info: Made out of the Shadow Wolf's bones, this bow is one of the bows that is adored by the newbies. It is easy to use.

Affinity:Darkness

Attribute: The bow's precision increases by two at nighttime.

Oooh, interesting. I didn't know it had an attribute, his ugly lips curled up.

Attributes are obtained by luck. Sometimes a Grade 1 can have an attribute, and sometimes a Grade 6 doesn't have one. Well, the higher grade you have, the higher chance you have at obtaining an attribute.

Grade 6 and above have a special feature called an ability.

For example, the Phoenix Sword, which is Grade 6, has the ability to turn the space surrounding the blade into flames.

Rave, being lucky, has two abilities in one item: the Skinwalker's Mask.

Technically, it wasn't his, but who cares?

He places the arrow on the string and extends it, tilting his bow up. He shoots, the arrow piercing through the wind. A few seconds later, the arrow pierces through the apple.

He kinda missed—he was aiming for the tree trunk.

But at least it looked cool.

He went to the place where the arrow landed and picked up the apple and the arrow.

'I need to eat this. It looks so good. I'll come back to practise more… trust.'

He opens the door, about to enter, but sees his teacher's skull on the ground. He smirks and stabs the skull with his arrow, the arrow digging deep into the bone.

'mmm, looks cool'

He enters his home, quickly going to get some water he brought from a lake to wash the apple. Washing it, Rave's mouth starts drooling. He hadn't eaten anything besides meat in a long time.

He finishes cleaning the apple and slowly takes in the view of it, with a big hole in the side. He wasn't able to get apples before because he was new at archery—he always missed horribly.

Looking at the apple, he slowly opened his mouth. He brought it close to his face and took a huge bite. His eyes lit up in delight. It was so sweet and juicy.

'Was an apple always this tasty?'

After finishing the apple, Rave lay back, enjoying the taste still lingering on his tongue. After a few minutes, his eyelids started getting heavy, and he fell asleep on the chair.

The next day...

He woke up to the sound of someone banging on his door. He wiped off the saliva drooling from his lips. The banging grew louder.

Rave took out his dagger and slowly approached the door.

Looking outside through a small hole in the wall, he saw a wolf.

The same wolf he was about to hunt yesterday, to be exact.

It came for revenge?
