In the vast ocean of nothingness, there was something. It opened its eyes—not knowing what eyes were.
It started listening to the silence of space, movements of particles that emanated from it.
After eons, it came to realize that it can perceive itself. It looked at its self—not knowing what itself was.
The constant stillness started to bore it, so it closed its eyes.
Centuries passed each time it opened and closed its eyes.
The loneliness was crushing, only the light from its body was comforting.
In the darkness, it wept—not knowing what it's like to feel.
Then it noticed a certain phenomenon, it was growing smaller.
It was growing smaller.
The light emanating from it started taking form.
A form of glowing light, spherical and bright even in the darkness of nothingness.
It smiled.
Eons passed, it grew tired of the ball.
It wanted to see something new. Something exciting.
Then it realized something curious. Everything that was ever was and ever will was inside of it.
It gave it comfort, knowing that it was everything. While it lamented that it was nothing at the same time.
In its unending quest for purpose, it found time.
In its unending quest for will, it found space.
The entity tried to combine them, it didn't work—after all, to combine them it needed power.
After multiple attempts, it gave up. For eons, it sulked like a child.
Then it looked inside time, it saw itself—the energy was faint.
But there was no mistaking it. It was there, in a different form.
Then it looked inside space, it saw its father—it learned a new word, "Father".
After all this, it realized the ultimate truth.
"To create something, another must be destroyed".
All it took was a moment for it to see the truth.
For it to be created, it must be destroyed.
Then it started spreading itself—it didn't work.
Then, the opposite must be true.
It started compressing. It compressed enough to not see itself.
Furthermore, it compressed until its vision faded.
And then it stopped thinking.
In its place, something new was born.
A century passed.
The debris of the entity's body, created space.
Its residual energy, bound the space with time.
One of the smaller debris, left out from the creation of space—found itself bound to the sphere of light, unable to drift.
Its nature wasn't to stay still, so it rebelled against the sphere.
The two parts of the same entity, in a tug of war.
The large sphere of light scattered, becoming way-stones of light in space.
The small debris, also lost a part of itself—however small.
It started to reattach itself, but it never could—perhaps it never will.
The smaller fragment, started drifting around the larger debris.
The larger one, in awe of the sphere's brilliant light even after scattering, started drifting around it.
Eons passed.
An elemental was created from the energy of the entity. It gravitated towards the large debris. It bonded with the debris, a small sprout was born on the debris.
At that moment, Destiny opened its eyes.
