"Don't let him come close!" "Save me master!" "Ahhh...My leg" Jin Ho was trying to make sense of the scene before him. Men, no, soldiers in silver armor trying to stop an unstoppable force of nature who wielded a gigantic staff and was swinging it wildly destroying anybody opposing it, a large number of identical beings in the same golden armor breaking the bones of soldiers who were floating aimlessly in the clouds and a large silver dragon observing without making a move.
It felt like he was watching a movie, no that wasn't right. It was like he was in a movie watching a great battle take place as a bystander. He tried to observe his body but it looked like a tansclusent see through glass. He could see through his arms, but all that was below him was just clouds and a very steep fall with no end in sight. Reincarnating into the douluo verse was already fantastical but this experience felt surreal.
He'd taken his eyes away from the battlefield for a few seconds to gather his thoughts but a stray staff hit him hard and what he heard last was "Still too weak " before being forced back into consciousness. Breathing heavily he tried to remember what he'd been dreaming about but as if a lock had been placed in his memory archives, he remained oblivious of it. Regarding it as unimportant he came back to the more pressing issue at hand.
It is a widely known phenomenon that life experiences build ones character, and for Jin Ho who had felt that he had almost died by joining spirit hall began getting his thoughts straight. He'd always felt like an observer, a bystander to be exact in this second life of his. He had no great ambitions and would have probably been content with a stable job if his martial soul had been weak.
But all of that was lost when he awakened his martial souls. He became more playful than before for some reason but still believed that he wasn't going to shoot for the star. Train hard, become high level and maybe become a teacher at a prestigious academy and train the younger generations that were yet to come. This fragile thoughts of his were shattered by the two spirit hall elders he'd just met recently, life in douluo world wasn't so simple as he'd thought previously.
Being taken in and threatened for no reason at all made him realise that the weak had no rights and right now he belonged to the category of the weakest of the weak. Don't get him wrong, he resented the two elders for toying with his life but knowing that getting strong enough to retaliate would take a long time, he decided to focus more on objectives that were more achievable at this stage.
But those two super douluos would pay, he'd crush them with his own might and come out victorious without injuries. Yes! That was his first long time goal in this life."He!he!he!" He snickered wickedly but a sharp pain to the head made him realise that he hadn't recovered enough.
"You are weird one aren't you?" A childish voice said snapping Jin Ho back to reality. 'What the hell is wrong with these people and sneaking up on me.' Finally turning to meet his guest, he came face to face with a child with white hair but dressed pompously with ornaments decorating his outfit. "Damn, your tiny!" These were Jin Ho's first thoughts as he saw his guest.
"You're the tiny one!" The once dignified voice changed into a more high pitch childish one shattering whatever image the man-child was trying to create. Realising that he'd said his thoughts out loud, Jin Ho was barely able to master an "Oh!" realising that mentally he wasn't alright. Maybe he'd exhausted that mental or was it spiritual energy he'd heard about.
"Oh! What do you mean by oh! You are in the presence of THE! FIFTH ELDER, you better show some respect to your seniors. Tch! The Grand worship sent me here to make sure that the sixth and seventh elders hadn't beoken you but it turns out that you're just an annoying brat." Having already lived into adulthood Jin Ho knew that he shouldn't get angry, but he was angry for being treated as he was before so he wondered if this childish elder could serve as an outlet.
Putting his key board warrior's skill into good use, he responded with "Oh! Ok." The response was not to be underestimated, it was famous for keeping attention seekers in check, and this fifth elder seemed to be a massive attention seeker. "Huh! But...you are...I am...Huh!" Working miracles, the fifth elder was stumped clearly at a loss for words. "Let's spar!" Finally he shot back grumbling.
It was Jin Ho's turn to sweat buckets,' Why's this guy so petty.' He couldn't help but think annoyed. "Tsk!" "Tsk!" The two clicked at the same time. Clearly they were cut from the same cloth." You have recovered enough, follow me there's still a lot that needs to be done." The fifth elder said as he moodily left the room and Jin Ho trotted behind him curious to know if there was anything else on the agenda of bullying him.
Arriving in a large hall, Jin Ho was met with the presence of the biggest force of the most powerful figures he'd ever seen in his life. They were standing in some sort of order with what seemed to be their leader kneeling in front of a statue of an angel with three pairs of wings. The worst part of the dilemma he was facing were the judging stares he was receiving from the four elders he'd not met.
He wanted to bow as a show of respect as he knew he was just an ant in the presence of giants, though something about submitting to a higher authority irked him but burying the thought he bowed immediately and saluted, "Junior greets seniors."
At first no one said anything but the grand worship with his golden blonde hair and over the top clothing stood up and facing Jin Ho said, "No need to fret child, no one is going to harm you." With it came a stream of energy that allowed Jin Ho to finally relax and cleared his mind recovering his mental energy. "The sixth and seventh elders were just excited to meet a talented junior and couldn't help acting on their desires. I hope you don't hold it against them."
"Junior wouldn't dare!" Jin Ho replied eagerly, a little too eager one might say but it was of no consequence. "They would like to take you in as their disciple, I hope you don't mind." The ordering and agreeing session went on. "Junior would be happy to be a disciple but..."
" Please speak child, no harm shall come to pass to you." The grand worship urged
"Thank you Senior, it's just that in the orphanage we'd never been taught about elders or the worship hall and I..." Jin Ho didn't know how to finish but his thoughts were crystal clear
"Don't worry your masters will teach you everything you are required to know. I hope you won't disappoint our spirit hall, and please call me Grand Worship, you are now under the Elder Hall." He finished as he went back to pray
Jin Ho felt relieved as finally he wasn't under anymore mental pressure. All that remained was getting to know the remaining elders, maybe spirit hall wasn't that bad.
