The sound of owl's hooting and cricket's chirping made Freya feel nervous but this was her one chance to get away from this lunatic who was busy claiming her. She removed the IV drop from her wrist, swinging her legs off the bed as she stood up.
She felt the world around her spin for a while but when she was sure that she could stand, she slowly walked to the door, as she turned the handle of the door, it slowly opened as she placed her head outside the door looking at the long corridor.
The exit would be at the end of this hall and she needed to move fast, she heard someone sneeze and she saw Monique fast asleep at the other side of the door. Summoning courage, she walked out of the room closing the door.
"I'm sorry for doing this Monique" she apologized quietly as she slowly proceeded to the spot she had memorized as the exit. As she walked, she felt slightly sorry for Monique because she might lose her job.
But her freedom was more important by now.
Aurelius held his bleeding arm as he walked up the stairs, heading back to Freya's room. The bullet didn't pierce his skin deep enough so he had Quinn pull it out. The red haired guy had escaped after flashing a grin and it made Aurelius curious.
Who and why did that guy attack them? As much as he wanted to know. He also wanted to see Freya and maybe kiss her once more, but he was sure he would get something more than that. As he pushed the door open, he paused as he looked around the room, his eyes slowly darkening as he chuckled.
"That slut!" He roared out not minding his bleeding arm as he searched the room. His mind was telling him that this bullshit would happen but he chose to believe she wouldn't do such thing but he was wrong.
After checking, and he was sure she wasn't in the room, he called Robert. "Robert, I need you to spread out the men over the whole hospital, no one goes in and no one goes out. Find Freya, as soon as possible"
Aurelius said as he hung up abruptly, if it meant shooting her down. He immediately left the room, leaving Monique to sleep as he rushed down the exit.
Freya could hear the blaring sirens as she got down to the hospital's garden. She saw at least five men in black walk past her, she immediately hit behind behind a pillar as she watched them walk away, their eyes scanning the scene.
Freya felt her heart hammering against her ribcage as she looked around. She didn't know where to go from here but she just had to leave this place.
"Don't you think what you're doing is almost impossible?" She heard a dark and cold voice behind her as something cold was pressed to the side of her neck
Freya froze as she slowly turned around, Aurelius still kept his eyes on her, to make sure she didn't try anything stupid. With her, anything could happen.
"W-how? How did you find me?" Freya asked impatiently, she had made sure to stay quiet but this son of the devil still managed to fish her out.
"I have my ways, Mon Cherie" he said as he took a step out of the shadows, his once crisp white shirt was now soaked in blood and his hair was ruffled as he looked at her.
"Please just let me go, I'll give you anything, whether it's money but I just want my freedom" Freya said as she avoided his gaze. She could feel that her once fierce personality slowly dimming out each time she came face to face with Aurelius and she didn't like it.
"You better kill that ego Freya, I won't hesitate to shoot you if it means putting some sense into that dumb head of yours" Aurelius said as Freya frowned, she had always hated when someone insulted her but she had taken it with this douche bag.
"Shoot me then? Isn't that what you want? Because my father sold me off to you, you think you can do anything you want. Dream in, I want my freedom, Aurelius. I mean it" Freya said as Aurelius just stared at her boredly.
He could feel himself slowly getting tired but he wanted to teach this bitch a lesson.
"I will shoot you Freya. I don't mean shit I actually do it" Aurelius said as he pointed his gun at Freya but she didn't even flinch.
Freya knew Aurelius wouldn't hurt her but she had thought wrong. Aurelius killed without blinking twice and he didn't need validation from anyone to do anything he wanted.
"Let's make a deal, if you can dodge three of my shots straight, I'd be happy to let you go. Note, no hiding behind materials, just dodge them" Aurelius said as Freya stared at him like he was some made man, but all this was for her freedom.
"Deal, you're on" Freya said as she stretched her tired limbs, Aurelius tilted his head as he stared at her in nothing but amusement and a tinge of evil.
"One, two, three. Go!" Aurelius said as Freya immediately ran away from him, heading to the gate that was just ahead. Aurelius smiled at her speed but he knew it was enough.
He aimed at her right leg, he closed his eyes taking a deep breath as he pulled the trigger. Freya heard the sound of the gun as she moved to the side, the bullet lightly missing her.
"One!" She screamed as she felt the adrenaline rush through her veins.
Aurelius couldn't help but smile as she picked up her pace, she was about reaching the gate which meant he couldn't miss this time. He took a step forward as he pulled the trigger once more.
The bullet travelled at a high speed but Freya was able to dodge it by spinning to the left only to hear another one.
Unaware, she felt something pierce into her leg, she turned to look at Aurelius who just shrugged at her. The sudden pain enveloped her body as she slowly fell to the floor.
"I win Mon Cherie, I always do"
