Chapter 11 - Confession

Sara entered her room and collapsed onto the bed, sobbing with heartbreaking intensity. She couldn't bear the thought of returning to that hell—especially not now, in her condition. Her trembling hands moved to her belly. They would kill her babies.

The spy servant from the agency had already left the mansion after completing his mission, but the fear still consumed her. She no longer knew who might be a spy. She was exhausted—tired of being hit, humiliated, and controlled. Even while pregnant, she had been struck with cruel violence.

And now Nick had said he would send her back to the agency… that he was no longer interested in her.

She sat up and reached for a bag. If she was going to be thrown out, she'd rather leave on her own—escape the agency and protect her babies.

But Nick's voice rang out suddenly, startling her as she packed.

—"Going somewhere, Sara?"

—"Nick? What are you doing here?"

—"This is my house. I don't need permission to enter."

—"Of course," Sara muttered, tightening her lips. She wasn't even safe in her own room.

—"You didn't answer my question."

—"You said you were sending me back to the agency. I'm packing my things."

—"Do you want to leave?"

—"No! Damn it, of course not!"

—"Then stop packing, Sara. Because I'm not letting you go."

She dropped the clothes and the bag, turning to look at him with infinite sadness in her eyes. Nick couldn't take it anymore. He ran to her and pulled her into a fierce embrace. He loved her so much… and it hurt more than he could ever admit.

—"Sara, you drive me crazy. You say you're a prisoner, but I know that's not true. Here, we treat you like family."

—"The agency is watching me, Nick."

—"What are you talking about?"

—"There are spies among the servants. One of them beats me all the time."

—"What? Who?!" Nick's face twisted with fury.

—"He just left the mansion. But he said there are many others here. Every time I wanted to tell you… he was always right behind you."

—"Why didn't you try to let me know somehow?"

—"'Quiet, obedient, and loyal.' Those are the rules of the Perfect Girls agency. If I speak, they'll kill me."

Sara broke down again, crying bitterly. Nick wrapped his arms tightly around her. He felt like a complete fool.

—"I know you're pregnant with my babies. I'll protect you, Sara. But I need you to trust me—and always be honest with me."

Nick immediately told his father everything. Mr. Archer contacted his lawyer at once and gave the order to fire all staff members, including the head butler, without delay. He also filed a legal complaint against the agency for harassment and abuse.

Regardless of the hour, they arranged for new staff to be hired, this time with careful background checks. By midnight, the new personnel had been appointed.

Nick had Sara moved to his own room. He wanted her by his side from now on. After all, she was carrying his children.

—"I love you, Sara. I never stopped loving you."

—"Then don't let them take me back… please…"

—"You should be honest with me. I swear I'll protect you."

—"Nick… please… help me…"

The blond boy held her tightly, trying to console her as she cried with overwhelming grief in the safety of his arms.
