(Night at the Palace)
Lian Hua raised her hand again to hit Jin Yue, but before she could, Liang Feng grabbed her wrist and said, "How dare you slap him?" Lian Hua replied, "You don't know what he did! If I told you about his actions, maybe you'd slap him yourself."
"Oh, is that so?" Without any expression, Liang Feng pushed Lian Hua away from him and looked at Jin Yue, who was still sitting with his head bowed. In a cold voice, he said, "So what do you want now? Should I pick you up and make you stand?" Hearing Liang Feng's cold tone, Jin Yue gripped his shirt tighter and slowly stood up.
Liang Feng turned to Lian Hua and asked, "Hmm, and what are you doing here at this hour?" Lian Hua glared at Jin Yue and said angrily, "Nothing! I just came to use the washroom, but this boy followed me here. When I caught him, he started pretending to cry."
Jin Yue said quietly, "That's not true. Please believe me, I didn't follow you here."
"You're lying! You came here to see me, and when I caught you, you started acting all innocent," Lian Hua shouted, moving forward to hit him again. Before she could, Liang Feng grabbed her jaw firmly and said coldly, "Didn't you understand the first time? I told you to stay away from him. If you try to hit him again, I'll break your hand. Remember my words, because you always forget what I say."
"By the way, there's nothing about you worth looking at, no matter how much you overreact," Liang Feng said, looking her up and down without emotion. Lian Hua, furious, said, "Liang Feng, instead of supporting me, you're taking his side?"
Liang Feng replied, "Be grateful I came before you hit him again. If you'd managed to do it, you'd be the one regretting it." Lian Hua said, "Is that so? Well, maybe you're late, because I already slapped him once before you came." Hearing this, Liang Feng's face turned cold.
He looked at Jin Yue, who was gently touching the cheek Lian Hua had slapped. Liang Feng pulled Jin Yue toward him by the waist and asked, "Did she really slap you?" Jin Yue tried to pull away and said, "What are you doing? Let me go." Liang Feng gripped his face and demanded, "Just answer what I asked. Did she slap you before I came?"
Jin Yue nodded slightly. Seeing this, Liang Feng pushed him onto the bed and said, "Stay here. I'll talk to you later-first, I need to deal with her." With that, he stepped toward Lian Hua. She looked at him and said, "Liang Feng, what are you doing? Stay away from me!"
After glancing at Jin Yue, Liang Feng slapped Lian Hua hard across the face and said, "You came to attend the party, so you should stick to that. Also, our families may have good relations, but I don't like you at all, so stay away from me. Otherwise, one day I'll kill you and no one will know. And how dare you slap him when I wasn't here?" He pinned her by the neck against the wall.
Lian Hua, struggling to free herself, whispered, "You never care about anything, so why does it bother you so much that I slapped him? Could it be that he's your best friend Wei Zhen's boyfriend? You never look at anyone, so maybe that's it." Liang Feng tightened his grip on her neck and said through gritted teeth, "Shut up. Don't ever say that again."
Jin Yue, watching fearfully, quickly came forward to stop him, saying, "What are you doing? Please let her go." As he moved toward the door, Liang Feng released Lian Hua, who rubbed her neck and hurried out of the room.
Liang Feng gestured for Jin Yue to come closer and said, "Come here, candy." Jin Yue looked at him, and Liang Feng said coldly, "Do you have trouble hearing? Didn't you hear me the first time? I said come here." He walked over himself.
Grabbing Jin Yue's hand tightly, he pushed him onto the bed and leaned over him, asking, "Were you really trying to see her?" Jin Yue, eyes shut in fear, began to cry and said, "No, I didn't do anything. When I woke up, I was dizzy, so I was just going to the washroom, that's all. And who are you? Please stay away from me."
Liang Feng stroked his lips and said, "Your college records show you're a good student, so behave like one in front of me." He gripped Jin Yue's jaw tightly, making Jin Yue cling to his shoulder and shake his head, "What are you doing? Let me go, please. I don't know you, and what is this place?"
Liang Feng said, "Hmm, don't even try to understand me. It would take your whole life." Jin Yue replied, "But you're nothing to me, so why would I try to know you? Please let me go." Liang Feng gripped his neck and said, "Fine, answer my question first and I'll let you go. What were you doing at the nightclub last night?"
"I was hungry, so I went there to eat," Jin Yue replied innocently. Liang Feng smirked and said, "Then I'm hungry now, so what should I do?" He squeezed Jin Yue's waist and said, "Do I seem crazy to you, that I'd believe such a lame excuse?"
"I'm not lying, please let me go," Jin Yue pleaded. Hearing him repeatedly ask to leave, Liang Feng kicked the coffee table hard and said, "If that's the case, listen-now you'll stay with me until your last breath. Because you made a mistake, and you'll pay for it your whole life. If you think you can leave here, that's your biggest mistake. I'll chain you to me forever."
Jin Yue, terrified, slid back on the bed and said, "I don't know you, please don't talk to me like this. I'm scared, and I haven't done anything wrong." Liang Feng grabbed his leg and pinned it down, saying, "Stop pretending to be innocent, my candy. Your mistake was going to that nightclub last night, and then I bought you from there. Do you understand?"
Jin Yue, crying, tried to push him away and said, "What nonsense are you saying? Stay away from me, you're a disgusting person!" Liang Feng replied, "Say 'you' with respect. I love hearing it from your mouth." With that, he tied both of Jin Yue's hands with his tie.
Jin Yue protested, "What are you doing? You're hurting me, don't tie me like this." Liang Feng leaned in and said, "Did you say it hurts? Then I should do it even tighter." He tightened the tie around his wrists.
Sobbing, Jin Yue said, "You said you bought me, but I'm not an object you can buy and bring here." Liang Feng grabbed his chin and said, "Hmm, maybe you're right, but to me, you're worth less than an object-something to use and throw away." His eyes fell on the wound on Jin Yue's forehead, but he ignored it.
He strode into the washroom. Looking at himself in the mirror, Liang Feng muttered, "Is he really as innocent inside as he looks outside? But why should I care?" Slowly, he took off his shirt and brought it to his nose, smelling Jin Yue's scent on it.
For a moment, he closed his eyes in comfort, then angrily threw the shirt on the floor, saying, "Damn it, I'll never let him have control over me. I promise myself, whatever happens, I won't fall into his trap." He changed clothes and walked out of the washroom.
He saw Jin Yue lying on the bed with his hands raised, clearly in pain from being tied up. Liang Feng picked up the first aid box from the table and bandaged his forehead. Then he noticed the marks from Lian Hua's fingers still visible on his cheek and muttered, "Looking at this, I really should have broken your hand lian hua ''
He took out ointment from the box and applied it to Jin Yue's cheek, making Jin Yue whimper in his sleep. When Jin Yue woke up and saw Liang Feng so close, he pushed him away. Liang Feng, who was focused on Jin Yue, fell straight off the bed.
