"Wait!"
Jade's eyes widened and he looked alarmed as Sheena stepped outside.
Eden turned to look at her and a smirk appeared on his face. "Speak of the Devil, here she is."
"Don't harm him! I will come with you!" Sheena spoke in a desperate plea.
Both Jade and Eden widened their eyes at her declaration. Jade's jaw tensed up and his fists clenching hard as he stared at her.
Eden looked surprised too for a second but it immediately turned into an amused smirk. "You're a good girl. Good choice. I don't like people disobeying me."
He then turned to look at Jade, who was staring at them both with hard glare and spoke with a sickening sweet smile. "Now that all this is settled, I can leave. Good day to you, Mr. Emethyst."
He said the last part with a mocking expression as if his win over him was a big celebration. He then grabbed Sheena's hand and started leading her away while gesturing at his men who followed behind him and got in their cars. Sheena gave Jade one last defeated glance as he stood there, gaze locked on their figures as they disappeared.
Eden sat inside the plush leather seat of his car with Sheena next to him, still holding her hand in a firm grip. He smirked darkly as he looked at her with a victorious look on his face.
"Such a naive girl. Thinking you could reject me. I'll admit you're very clever though. Using that man as a shield. But all I needed was a simple threat to that man to keep you in line."
Sheena didn't reply, her head was down and she was looking at her lap. She didn't want to look him in the eyes, seeing his victorious expression would just add more salt to her wounds.
He smirked as he looked at her expression and shook his head slightly before speaking in a low tone and in mock sympathetic way.
"You poor girl. You don't know what's coming for you."
"Atleast let go of my hand now.. it's not like I can go anywhere." she spoke in a low voice.
He dropped her hand and a stern expression settled over his face as he watched the scene outside the window. Unnoticed by him, she quietly distanced herself from him, careful not to alert him to her movement. His gaze was fixed outside, his expression dark and intense as if lost in deep thoughts.
She instinctively reached for the car door as she yearned to escape, but the car door proved to be locked. Frustration filled her as she muttered a curse under her breath.
"Damn it!" her voice came out as a strangled gasp.
He heard her because his gaze shifted towards her. He smirked at her attempt to flee. "Where are you going?" he asked. "Trying to flee?"
Her mind racing to find a plausible explanation for her actions. No excuses came to mind, and the words froze in her throat as she looked at him, her eyes wide with fear. "No...! I...I was just..." she began, searching for words, but her mind went blank. Panic set in, and her voice trailed off as she stared at his dark, unyielding gaze.
He spoke in a low and firm tone. "Don't waste your energy in thinking something up. You're not going anywhere."
His words sank into her like a dagger, the harsh truth behind them. She clutched her fists tightly, her body tense, as his gaze pierced through her. "Why?!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling, as the weight of his presence pressed down on her. "Why are you doing this?!"
A cold smirk appeared on his face. "Isn't it obvious? No one rejects me." He leaned closer to her and patted her cheek in a mocking way. "And if someone does, they pay just as you are going to..soon."
After that, the whole ride went silent, an uncomfortable weight in the air.

The car came to a halt in front of a grand mansion.
Without giving her a moment to react, Eden forcefully dragged her out of the car, his grip on her wrist unyielding. As they moved through the mansion hallway, the servants quickly moved aside, their eyes averted, feigning indifference.
She struggled to keep up with him, stumbling and tripping over her feet, but he showed no mercy, his hand gripping her wrist tightly as he forced her to follow him. They finally reached a room, and he shoved her roughly onto a large bed, leaving her breathless and disheveled.
As he looked at her disheveled state, Eden noticed a brown mark on her exposed shoulder and his gaze darkened. "Did he get physical with you?"
Mary noticed his gaze darken as he saw the bruise on her shoulder. She instinctively tried to cover her shoulder, but his eyes were already locked on her, burning with intensity. "What are you talking about?"
Eden moved towards her, his gaze filled with anger that he was unable to hide and yanked her hand away from her shoulder and reveal her bruise on the arm. "This!"
"No, he didn't! He is not a monster like you!"
She clenched her fists and looked at him with defience refusing to show the fear.
Eden smirked at her defiance. "Then who did it?"
She looked at him with defiance in her eyes and didn't reply. She was scared and her heart was racing, but she refused to give in to him and remained silent.
Seeing her look Eden clenched his jaw but soon it converted into resignation and then an amused smirk as he leaned back. "So, you aren't gonna speak? Don't worry I have ways to make you speak."
They both held eachothers gaze for a moment. Both challenging, but his gaze was dark as if his gaze alone would devour her.
She felt a sudden intimidation that made her blurt out. "You! Your fucking men!" She growled averting her gaze.
There was a moment of silence as he processed her words. Then his expression darkened and his eyes turned hard and cold. He spoke in a low, dangerous tone. "My men...shot you..?"
Then he scoffed and spoke again "Then, they really have a bad aim."
With this he took a step back, stuffing his hands in his pockets and walked out locking the door behind him.
She sat alone in the room, feeling lost and trapped. She looked around, taking in the surroundings. The bed was comfortable, big and spacious. The walls were painted dark blue in contrast with the grey bed sheets. It was luxurious but it felt eerie and not home like.
She sighed and lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling as she tried to wrap her head around the situation she was in. She closed her eyes and tried to calm her mind, but the events of earlier kept replaying in her head. The feeling of helplessness and fear coursed through her veins as she remembered the way Eden had grabbed her and thrown her on the bed.
She shivered involuntarily at the memory, hating herself for feeling so weak and vulnerable. He said she'll pay later and she is afraid for that later.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she thought about Jade. She missed him, missed the safety and comfort she felt when she was with him. She wished she could go back in time and change things, but it was too late now..She sighed again and tried to push those thoughts away. Thinking about him would only bring her more pain and sadness. She had to accept that she was now under Eden's mercy and there was nothing she could do to escape. Maybe...
Sheena was shaken from her thoughts as the door suddenly opened. She looked up and saw an elderly lady coming in with food in her hand. She sat up on the bed and looked at the woman with curiosity and suspicion. "I won't eat it!"
The old lady just smiled and placed the tray on the coffee table. "I won't force you to eat, my child."
Sheena felt a bit guilty for speaking like that to the old lady who did nothing wrong but didn't spoke anything either.
The lady spoke again with the same gentle tone. "If you want anything, just call my name, dear." She smiled and headed to the door.
"What's your name?" Sheena spoke, her tone neutral. If this granny is being good to her then she should too. There's no point in being rude to her.
"Ah my bad. I am forgetful these days." The old lady looked at Sheena innocently for a minute before speaking, "Martha." She smiled and left.
Sheena noticed that the door wasn't locked, and a glimmer of hope flickered in her mind. With a sense of anticipation, she quickly rose to her feet and tested the handle. The door opened without resistance, and a wide grin spread across her face.
She peeked her head out, excitement coursing through her veins, only to find two bodyguards standing at watch, their vigilant gaze fixed on her. Any hopes of escape fizzled out.
Sheena flashed an innocent smile before slowly backing into the room and closing the door. "Damn! I knew it wouldn't be that simple!" She kicked her foot in frustration. Feeling like screaming, but aware that wasn't the right moment, she sat back down on the bed's edge.
The room had a terrace, but below was a dead end, no escape route there. She wished her knot-tying skills were better; she could've used the bedsheets like they do in movies. But with her fear of heights, that option was out of the question.
After inspecting the room, she concluded there was no way out without proper equipment. And, to make matters worse, there were no sharp objects in the room. Even her meal was carefully cut into manageable pieces, as if she were a child who couldn't handle utensils herself. All she had was a spoon.
She picked up the spoon, her mind wandering to desperate measures. "Could we stab someone with a spoon?" she thought, then scoffed at the idea. "No... but maybe scoop an eye out?" She quickly shook off the morbid thought and put the spoon back.
She wasn't a killer, and even if she managed to take out the bodyguards outside, she had no idea how many more she'd face afterward.
With a defeated sigh, she began eating her meal. The taste was good and somewhat familiar...
Guess she was stuck here..for God knows how long...
