Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Starting of College Life

Blue entered the railway station and sat down on a bench. The cold steel under him felt unfamiliar. He glanced around, unsure of what to think, then murmured to himself.

"It's been about two years since I woke up from that coma… but I still don't know anything about my past. I want to know about it… I need to!" he muttered, voice rising before he sighed and looked down at the ticket in his hand.

Train to Tokyo

Arrival — 8:10 AM, 27/03/2025

He stared at the printed date and said softly, "Let's forget the past for now… and focus on my future."

[A Few Minutes Later]

The train arrived, and Blue stood up, walking toward it. He boarded and found a window seat. As he sat down, he whispered again,

"Why did Grandpa and Grandma send me here? Why now?"

His thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. He hesitated for a moment, then answered.

"Hello? Who's there?"

"Hello, Blue."

Blue's eyes widened. He recognized the voice immediately.

"Grandpa? Is that you?"

"Yes, it's me," his grandfather replied warmly. "Just wanted to tell you we got you admitted into a college."

Blue's face lit up slightly. Something to do now… finally.

"Really? Thanks, Grandpa. I was wondering what I'd do next."

Grandpa chuckled. "Now you've got a purpose. Focus on that."

Blue smiled, "Thanks again."

The call ended. For the first time in days, Blue felt light—like something inside him had settled.

Meanwhile…

Back at home, Grandpa, who was sitting beside Grandma, quietly dialed another number and said,

"Sir… ma'am, the task is complete."

Scene Shift: Tokyo Streets

Blue stepped onto the Tokyo platform. The city was loud, alive, and completely unfamiliar. He looked around in awe—skyscrapers towering above him, neon signs blinking, a blur of cars and people moving with purpose.

He wandered through some popular areas, eventually arriving at Tokyo Tower. He took some photos and grabbed a quick bite at a restaurant. Despite the unfamiliarity, a soft thought entered his mind:

"Maybe… this isn't such a bad place after all."

Later That Evening

Blue arrived at the apartment his grandfather had arranged for him. It wasn't far from his college. After a short cab ride, he stepped inside and began exploring his new home.

First, the living room—clean, quiet, and surprisingly spacious. Then the kitchen—with a huge TV mounted near the dining space. He found his study, bathroom, and finally, his bedroom… which made him smile.

It was painted in his favorite color—blue.

"This is good," he whispered to himself. "I can stay here till my college ends." He yawned. "Just sleep… just sleep."

He collapsed on his new bed, drifting into a peaceful sleep.

[Few Days Later]

On March 31st, just a day before college officially began, Blue was called in to choose his stream.

He took a cab to the college campus, found the counselor's room, and stepped in.

A man behind a desk looked up. "Hey, mister. Come here."

Blue approached and sat down.

"New student?" the counselor asked.

"Yeah," Blue nodded.

"Good. Fill out this form. Choose the stream you're applying for."

Blue filled in the details—name, number, birth date. Then paused at the section labeled Stream.

He thought for a moment and wrote Computer Science.

But just before submitting the form, something tugged at him. He looked up and said, "Wait. I want to add something."

The counselor raised a brow.

"I'd like to add… Psychology as well."

"Huh," the counselor said, a little surprised. "Interesting combination."

Blue smiled faintly. "I love computers… but I also feel like Psychology might help me later."

The counselor nodded. "Alright. Noted."

Name: Ichiraku Blue

That Night

Blue returned to his apartment and spent the evening watching anime, trying to keep his mind off the uncertainties of the future. He ordered food, ate quietly, and eventually fell asleep on the couch.

The Next Morning

Blue woke up early. First day of college…

He cleaned up, got dressed, and checked the fridge. Nothing but leftovers. Guess that'll do.

He ate quickly, grabbed his bag, and took a cab to the college.

As he stepped out of the cab and approached the front gate, he paused—something caught his eye.

A boy was standing there…

Proposing to a girl.
