Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Trial of Blood and Steel

After stepping into the glowing blue cube, Aarav Mehra was overwhelmed. His thoughts raced.

> "What is going on? The System told me to choose a skill… but why me?"

He looked at the screen. Years of watching anime and dreaming about being the protagonist flashed before his eyes.

> "All my life, I was average — never a topper, never popular. But now… maybe this is my story. My chance."

Three skills appeared in front of him:

Beast Transformation

Ghost Assassin

God of Necromancer

> "These are classic. But I don't want to be just another character. I want something unique… something that no one else can get."

Suddenly, a fourth skill appeared, surrounded by a red glow: "Creator of a Bloodline"

He tapped it. A warning flashed.

> "You may obtain this skill, but first you must pass the trial of death. You will endure pain beyond death… for what will feel like a trillion years. Most fail. If you do, you will die for real."

> "This… is it. Either I become the strongest… or I die trying."

Aarav clicked 'Accept'.

Darkness swallowed him. He was alone — no light, no air — and then it began. The pain. An endless, burning agony that made time itself feel frozen.

He screamed. He cried. He wanted to give up.

But then he remembered…

> "I said I would be the main character. I won't kneel before pain!"

He roared, pushing past the suffering.

Time lost meaning. But when it finally ended, a screen appeared.

> "Congratulations. You have obtained the forbidden skill — Creator of a Bloodline. Additional bonus granted."

Unlocked Bloodlines:

1. Super Genius — Your intelligence, analysis, and memory operate on a superhuman level.

2. Power of Creation — You can create items, weapons, or machines from scraps.

3. Aura Holder (Beginner) — You can control and infuse aura into weapons, making them deadlier.

Aarav collapsed from exhaustion. But when he opened his eyes again, he was back — standing on the school grounds of Suryodaya Academy, surrounded by chaos. The System reappeared before everyone.

> "Only Generals, Assistant Generals, and High Officials were allowed to choose their skills. Everyone else has been randomly assigned one."

Confusion spread. Aarav clenched his fists.

> "They don't know what's coming."

The System spoke again:

> "You have 3 hours until the first Crack opens. It will unleash a Wave of F to E-ranked monsters."

(Author's note to readers: In the Crack System, ranks go from weakest to strongest as follows — F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, and unknown 'God' ranks.)

> "Modern weapons will not work. In fact, they attract monsters. You've been given basic mana weapons, light armor, and a million silver coins per House — use them wisely."

---

School Assembly — Suryodaya Academy (Nicknamed: CoolFun)

Inside the principal's war room, the generals and assistant generals gathered.

School General: Dav

School Assistant General: Kiara

Yellow House General: Rehan

Yellow Assistant General: Devansh

Red House General: Kunal Rajput

Red Assistant General: Saanvi Batra

Green House General: Angel

Green Assistant General: Aryan

NCC General: Naveen kumar

NCC Assistant General: Ritik

Blue House General (Main Character): Aarav Mehra

Blue Assistant General: Meera Kapoor

Principal: Dr. Arjun Sharma

Suddenly, a message blinked across all screens.

> "Warning: An A-Rank Crack has appeared in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands."

Silence. Panic.

> "This isn't possible! We can barely handle F-rank!"

Other schools began debating evacuation.

But Aarav stood up.

> "This is our land! If we run, where will we go? Who will welcome us? We must defend our home."

His voice rang with strength. And in that moment, every General stood behind him.

---

After the meeting, Aarav spoke with his cousin Zaid (NCC General).

> "Two Generals in the same family. Guess we're built different," he smiled.

He greeted old friends among the new generals. Rehan, Saanvi, and Aryan — they'd grown up together.

Now, they were comrades in war.

---

As other Houses rushed to buy rare weapons with their limited funds, Aarav had a different plan. Using his "Power of Creation," he bought up junk: abandoned guns, broken tanks, damaged aircraft — worthless to most.

His soldiers stared in confusion.

> "Sir, why are you wasting funds on useless tech?"

> "Trust me. It's not junk to me."

In secret, Aarav entered the blue cube and activated his ability. His body buzzed with aura.

He infused mana into rifles, remade bullets to pierce monster hide, and converted tanks into aura-based siege units. He even modified fighter planes and created two rocket-launcher carriers.

He smiled.

> "I don't know if this will work… but it's our best shot."

Soon, his soldiers began training. The controls of the tanks and aircraft were simplified — like a video game.

> "You've built all this?" Meera asked, awestruck.

> "Yeah… hard to believe we were just students yesterday. And now? We're soldiers."

She nodded.

> "We never spoke much in class. You were always with your friends."

> "That's because I didn't know how to talk to girls," Aarav chuckled.

> "Well, now we're fighting monsters together. That's a good icebreaker," she smiled.

Then, without warning, the System appeared again.

> "3… 2… 1…

The First Crack has opened.

Prepare for battle."

Blue light swallowed them.

Aarav looked up.

> "Will my weapons work… or is this the end?"
