As someone familiar with the story's deeper meaning, Charlie understood the importance of ideological education. Without it, what if they ended up teaching ungrateful children who would disrespect their teachers and ancestors? It was crucial not to take things to extremes.
They needed to think more, communicate better, and avoid turning on friends and family at the slightest provocation. That was why ideological education mattered so much, to raise the new generation of shinobi with strong ideals, morality, culture, and discipline.
After the Academy event, Charlie didn't interfere with the classes. Yawning, he left the academy and headed toward the new Uzumaki clan settlement. Come to think of it, he'd been so busy lately that he hadn't even sent anyone to retrieve the Uzumaki clan's treasure.
With the new year approaching, factories needed to be built and production restarted. The first meeting had also proposed setting up a comprehensive medical system, but nothing had begun yet.
The Land of Grass was still in its infancy, with so much to do. As for the Uzumaki clan, Charlie had heard that after the destruction of the Whirlwind Country, they had fled in several groups, each led by a few shinobi guiding ordinary people.
Kanna and Fuso belonged to two separate escape groups, which meant there were still many Uzumaki scattered across the shinobi world. That was exactly why he was here, to find those remaining Uzumaki living outside, and before the new year, to visit the ruins in Whirlpool Country to recover the Uzumaki treasures and the Ancestor Hall, bringing them back to the Land of Grass.
Seeing Elder Youma's eyes light up with excitement, Charlie smiled and said, "Alright then, let's make a movie!"
Youma stared quietly at The lord in front of him. They had been discussing the plan to bring back scattered clan members who had been lost outside the Land of Grass, and Youma was genuinely excited.
As an elder of the Uzumaki clan who had once experienced wandering in exile, he couldn't help but hope that those clan members might finally find a home here. But this was the Land of Grass; as a shinobi, having The lord accept them was already a huge favor.
If they made unreasonable demands or caused trouble, what would happen? Still, somehow, as their conversation continued, it suddenly shifted to movies.
How did they get from clan reunions to movies? What did movies even have to do with any of this?
Curious, Youma asked, "What exactly is this 'movie' you're talking about?"
"It's a form of entertainment, kind of like the shinobi comics that have become popular these days," Charlie explained.
"The lord means the 'Inter-Species Hentai Girl Handbook,' right?" someone else chimed in, making Charlie freeze for a moment, unsure how to respond.
Looking at Elder Youma, he hesitated before asking, "You… have seen it?"
"Respectfully, Lord, I have not," Youma replied, shaking his head.
"I only recently heard Mujie mention it. Apparently, one of his treasured books was stolen, and he was quite upset.
Since the Uzumaki clan was brought here by Mujie, I've told our people to keep an eye out for that book, hoping to find it as a way of showing our gratitude."
Charlie muttered under his breath, "That Mujie guy again…" but then smiled and said, "Don't worry about him or the clan members. I'll handle Mujie when I get back."
He then pulled out a stack of documents, the script from last time's story, The Gambler's Den, now further polished.
"A movie is basically what you described, but it moves and talks on its own. It's kind of like a play, but also quite different.
Never mind, you'll understand once it's filmed. I'm planning to shoot this, and I hope the Uzumaki clan can help!" Youma said eagerly.
"No matter what you ask, the Uzumaki clan will carry it out faithfully!" came the firm reply.
"Don't be so nervous! Just take a look first!" Youma encouraged, handing over the script. He opened it with a serious expression: The Gambler's Den.
This was a script he had adapted himself. Originally, he hoped to attract Tsunade, the wealthy and influential lady, to see if they could earn some money to develop the Land of Grass.
After all, the Land of Grass was quite poor, especially compared to the immense fortune accumulated by the Senju clan's two generations of Hokage.
The story follows Susumu Uzumaki, a famous gambler in the shinobi world. He accepts an invitation from his friend to face off against Kinjo Takeori, the gambling king of the Mist Village, at the card table. But before the showdown can happen, Susumu falls into a trap, tumbles down a hill, and loses his memory.
While he's wandering lost, his friend Haije, drunk and unhinged, breaks into Susumu's home, murders his girlfriend and clan members, and sends assassins after him. Luckily, shinobis from the Land of Grass rescue him.
After escaping, Susumu suffers another accident that restores his memory just in time for the final showdown. He proves to be the better gambler and wins, while a burnt tape reveals Haije's true, sinister nature.
With the help of the Kusa shinobi, Susumu defeats the villain, avenges his clan, settles in the Land of Grass, and lives happily ever after.
Youma emphasized that the entire story should be modified. Except for the Kusagakure Shinobi, all other names had been changed. Any resemblance to actual shinobi villages was purely coincidental. Hopefully, this wouldn't provoke the other great shinobi villages into starting a war against the Kusagakure Shinobi.
As Youma finished reading, a complicated expression crossed his face. He sighed deeply and looked up at The lord, who was calmly sipping water. "Lord, you already know?"
"Know what?" Charlie asked, setting down his cup.
Youma's eyes darkened with weariness as he slowly replied, "Many of our clan members were already suspicious back then. Familiar sealing jutsu... unknown hired shinobis..."
That sealing technique was unique, only the Uzumaki clan and Mito of Konoha had mastered it. After Lord Mito passed away, it likely passed down to Kushina.
Konoha had promised that the Uzumaki clan's legacy would continue within their village. But with Susumu's betrayal and the massacre of his family, hadn't the Uzumaki suffered the same tragic fate? So, where did those mysterious shinobi involved even come from?
Kushina eventually learned sealing jutsu, but Naruto never did. Still, Konoha had several skilled in sealing techniques: Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Hiruzen, even the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen.
Whether their skills came from the Uzumaki clan's methods was unclear. It seemed the Uzumaki suspected Konoha's hand in the attack on their clan, especially since Konoha had conducted human experiments researching Wood Release.
