Leo's expression was unreadable as he watched Meg sleep. The guest room door was closed now, but the heaviness of what she'd said lingered in the air.
"She's exhausted. She probably hasn't slept since Siegfried went missing."
He said finally, his voice low.
Nina nodded.
"She was shaking. It's not like she's weak either. She's a hunter—strong, trained. But she looked like she was ready to fall apart."
"She's scared and I don't blame her."
Leo said.
He turned to face Nina and Luna in the hallway outside the guest room, his shoulders tense.
"I'll go to the dungeon in the morning."
Luna raised a brow.
"Alone?"
"Yes."
"No way. This isn't something you should do alone, Leo. We all know Siegfried's strong. If something happened to him, it's not something one person can handle—especially not someone as reckless as you."
Nina said at once.
Leo shot her a look.
"You calling me reckless?"
"I'm calling you an idiot."
"Same difference."
Luna muttered.
