Chapter 25 - chapter 24

"Bai Wangyan..."

A mysterious voice echoed softly from the depths of the infant's spiritual consciousness sounding sacred, powerful, and of immense divine might.

That voice caused the fragile infant, who was falling straight down toward the ground, to gradually shift and transform evolving into a youthful five-year-old boy. His jet-black hair swayed slightly behind him.

His face was extraordinarily handsome beyond the limits of description. He was the most beautiful young boy, incomparable to any other man. His face was flawless so exquisitely refined it surpassed the intricacy of all creation.

The young boy had deep blue eyes, calm and reserved like the tranquil sea. His gaze swept slowly around him.

Until it stopped at a blurry figure with long, straight, pure white hair, dressed in intense white robes tinged with radiant blue... From the exterior alone, he appeared to be a stunningly handsome young man. But since his face could not be seen clearly, that conclusion could only be assumed...

Judging from the blurred face of the white-haired man, who hovered two to three levels above him, his expression looked pale and lifeless, lacking any trace of vibrant color…

Why is he like that?

Who is he?

Whose name had he been calling just now?

The black-haired boy slowly lifted his face to look up at the blurry figure of the handsome man who bore no trace of a bright smile…

"Whose name were you calling? Or… were you calling my name?"

the boy asked suspiciously.

"Yes. I was calling your name,"

the man replied with a flat, emotionless tone.

"I want you to have another personality. I will create a third one for you. But this personality must be forged fused together with a certain divine artifact belonging to the Goddess of Restoration."

"The Goddess of Restoration?"

the young boy repeated, confused by what he had just heard.

"There is only one Goddess of Restoration in the vast trillions of universes... She will not be difficult for you to find. But do not worry about that. I will pave the way for you to meet her. When you do, you must give her this."

As he spoke, the man opened his palm, revealing a strange bracelet adorned with a single red gemstone elegantly carved into a heart shape, exquisitely breathtaking.

He let the bracelet float slowly forward, gently slipping onto the wrist of the boy standing before him.

The boy's eyes widened as he saw the bracelet clasp itself onto his wrist.

"Give it to her? But why must I give this bracelet to her? I don't understand..."

"When the time comes, you will understand... The only enemy capable of killing you is her."

The man spoke softly, as if concealing some great mystery within his voice...

Then, his indistinct figure gradually began to fade, like mist swept away by the wind, until not even a shadow remained.

The boy standing below furrowed his brow slightly... before glancing at the bracelet on his wrist for a moment... He didn't understand a single thing that man had said!

What was he trying to say? What did it all mean!?

After a short moment of contemplation, the boy slowly transformed back into a fragile infant once more... And it seemed that, now as an infant again, he could no longer remember anything the man had told him.

As though the man had only intended for him to wear the bracelet for some unknown purpose...

A purpose far too mysterious for him to comprehend.
