Unfortunately, it seems, Justin still cannot start alchemy yet, it turns out that unlike in games where you can practice alchemy just by having knowledge, in this world, you need both the knowledge and powers that manipulate nature to achieve it. This changed Justin's plans completely, as now he have make pact with a god with ability to manipulate nature. There are many new gods with nature bending powers, but Justin decided to make pact with old god Vinushka instead, as his nature bending power is considered to be best. However, the old gods's power is considered to be one-sided, and you have to offer something in exchange for obtaining powers from him. And the offering is a certain rare flower that is difficult to find and cultivate, it no wonder there are very few people who weilding the old god's power early, it normaly it take one, years of worship to obtain this power without any offerings, only priests and traditional people will take this path, those who need powers urgently, will need the flower, either by finding it or by growing it themselves, finding this flower is same as find a long lost treasure while although obtaining the seeds of flower is easy, it require lot of patience, care, and delicate nurturing for flower to grow, one small mistake and flower will rot before it could bloom. To make the matter worse, the process of using the circles mentioned "Fear & Hunger 2: Termina", is yet to be invented. Justin felt that his plans are foiled before it could be started. During dinner, Justin was visibly appearing upset, this cause Edward who considered Justin his favourite son to worry, Alex although doesn't know what upseted Justin, he seems to be happy after seeing Justin's sad look. William like Edward, seems to be equally worried. Aria, seeing her son's sad look decided to speak.
"Justin, you look upset, did something happened?", Aria asked.
"It's nothing, mom", Justin replied.
"That's not true, we all see you are upset", Aria said.
"Let him go, mom, if he don't want to speak then he don't want to speak", Alex said with a sneer.
"Shut up, Alex, nobody asked you about anything", William spoke angrily.
"So what? I mean, the sky won't fall, if I say something", Alex replied arrogantly.
"You...", William about to say something in anger but was interrupted.
"Calm down boys, this is not the place for you to fight, (turning towards Justin) my son, tell us what made you upset", Edward spoke
"I want to make pact with Vinushka but I don't have the offering", Justin said in sad voice.
"Ha! So are you planning to go to monastry now, oh wait, that could be good thing, you don't need to be heir, I will gladfully take your place, he! he! he!", Alex said arrogantly with a sneer.
"ALEX!!!", William shouted.
"SHUT UP BOYS!!! If you want to fight, go fight outside", Edward spoke angrily.
"Tch...Fine!", Alex replied.
"I am sorry, Dad", William apologised.
"Now, tell me why you want to make pact with Vinushka", Edward asked.
"I want to practice alchemy, but I need the power of nature manipulation to do that", Justin replied.
"Is that all? There are plenty of new gods who can give you same powers at lost cost, why Vinushka?", Edward questioned.
"Because his nature bending powers is best plus I trust the old gods more than newer ones", Justin replied.
Justin isn't lying, although new gods, although seems to be more convinient deity to humans, they all had hidden agendas, even if, old gods looks suspicious, they as the original gods of this world, unconditionally help human in exchange of their faith or/and offering something equivalent of what they want. Justin knows fully, that if he want survive this world, he couldn't trust the new gods.
"Actually, I can help you", Aria said
"(Turning towards his mother in surprise) How?", Justin asked.
"First finish your dinner, then follow me towards my room", Aria replied.
"Okay, mom", Justin said.
After the dinner was over, Justin followed her mother to her room.
"Here, I happened to be given seven of these flower, before you are born, I and your father used six of the seven flowers, here's the last one", Aria spoke with smile.
Justin's jaw dropped when he found that his mother had one. Nevertheless, he is no longer sad and is happy, that he finally got his hands on the flower. Of course, it will take one to make pact with Vinushka three times to obtain all tier of the powers, Vinushka can provide to humans, but Justin, needed this power for alchemy, so, tier 1 powers will be enough, as for him pact making more pact with Vinushka, after mastering alchemy, he will produce a special fertilizer and manure to grow the flowers without any problem, for making future pacts with the god. After obtaining the flower, Justin purchase few soul stones from an occult shop, then he went straight to a nearby dungeon, killed some monster with lesser souls, and used the soul stone to obtain their souls. He the, went to the temple of Vinushka, there he offered flower in the ritual circle, the flower disappeared, which is the sign of Vinushka accepting the offering, then Justin went to the hexen within the temple, here he used the soul stone containing thre lesser souls of the creatures he killed, to unlock all the tier 1 powers he recieved from the old god. After obtaning the power, he practiced his new powers as well as did daily meditation, to master his new powers but also to reduce the strain it left to his mind. After fully mastering the new powers he obtained. He finally went to his room, and took out all the alchemical tools and ingredients he needed for the things he is going to make.
"Finally..., now since I have obtained the power of Vinushka, now I can finally start my alchemical work without any problem", Justin said to himself.
