On a Sunday Afternoon, Rehaan was reading a book, sitting on a sofa in his living room. It was the same book about vampires, which he read earlier. He turned the pages, and read something he didn't read before. Rehaan thought about something, then smiled, before closing the book. He called Maya on her mobile. She picked up his call.
Rehaan "Hello Maya."
Maya "Hello Rehaan."
Rehaan "What are you doing?"
Maya "Nothing."
Rehaan "I was thinking, if you are free today, let's go for a long drive."
Maya "Sure."
Rehaan "Alright then, I'll pick you up at six o'clock today."
Maya "Okay, I'll be ready. Bye."
Rehaan "Bye Maya."
Rehaan cut the call and was smiling thinking about something.
In the evening, Maya got ready and climbed down the stairs. Nisha was sitting in the living room. Maya told her that she was going out.
Nisha "Wait, where are you going this time?"
Maya "Mom I'm going for a long drive with Rehaan. He is waiting for me. "
Nisha "Stop! You don't have to go anywhere. Tell him you can't go with him today. Give him some excuse. Your Dad called me and said that some vampires are coming to meet us today. They'll be coming any time."
Maya "So, what will I do? Dad and you speak to them. I'm leaving."
Nisha "You are our daughter. You need to meet them. You have to listen to their problems."
Maya "Sorry Mom, I have to go."
Maya was about to leave when the doorbell rang. Nisha opened the door. Rajveer came in.
Nisha "Look what your daughter is doing. She is going out. Tell her how important it is... "
Rajveer "Let her go. It's okay."
Maya "Thanks, Dad."
Maya left the house. Nisha got annoyed. Rajveer looked calm.
Nisha "Maya has become very rebellious. Why did you allow her to go?"
Rajveer "Rehaan is waiting outside. Before our people come, Rehaan should go from here."
Rehaan was waiting outside Maya's house, leaning on his car. As Maya came near him, he was mesmerized.
Rehaan "You are looking gorgeous!"
Maya "You are also not looking bad."
They both laughed. Rehaan opened the car's door for Maya, and she sat inside the car. Rehaan closed the door and then sat in the driver's seat. Rajveer and Nisha were watching them from a window. Rajveer got some relief as they drove away.
Nisha "Maya needs to maintain some distance from Rehaan. I feel she is falling in love with him."
Rajveer "This is not the right time to discuss this. We have to deal with something else right now."
After some time, the doorbell rang. Rajveer opened the door. A group of people were standing at the door. Rajveer invited them inside the house.
Nisha and Rajveer stood next to each other. The group of vampires stood in front of them. They bowed their heads.
A Vampire "Your majesty, yesterday, in the jungle, a wolf tried to attack on me. It wasn't any ordinary wolf. I felt he was a werewolf!"
Another Vampire "These wolves are getting dangerous day by day. We need to do something to stop them."
Rajveer "Don't worry. As long as I'm here, those wolves can't harm you. You people try to find out, how many werewolves are here in this place. If the need arises, we will finish them all."
The group of vampires left the house after getting assurance from their King.
Nisha closed the door as they left and asked Rajveer what they would do if the wolves declared war. Rajveer kept silent for some time, then said, in such a case, they would either kill them or get killed by them.
Maya and Rehaan were enjoying their time together. As Rehaan was driving the car, suddenly Maya asked him to stop the car.
Rehaan "What happened? Are you okay?"
Maya "Yeah I'm okay. Please stop the car, I want to walk."
Rehaan "You want to walk? Okay, I'll stop the car."
Rehaan stopped the car. Maya got out of the car. Rehaan parked the car at a little distance, then came towards Maya.
Maya "Rehaan look at the sky! The moon is looking so beautiful today. And the stars are shining so brightly! It's beautiful."
Rehaan looked at the sky and became gloomy. Maya noticed that Rehaan had become silent. She asked him what happened. He didn't say anything.
Maya "What happened Rehaan? Why did you become gloomy?"
Rehaan "Maya when I was a child, Dad used to say, that when our loved ones leave us, they become stars. As a kid, I used to look at the sky, and try to find my Dad, when he left me. But I always felt that he was somewhere here, near me. I feel he is still here, with me, always watching me. I miss him so much."
Tears formed in his eyes. He turned his face away from Maya and wiped off his tears. Maya kept her hand on his shoulder. He turned his face towards her. They kept looking at each other for some time. Maya hugged Rehaan tightly. Rehaan hugged her back. They forgot themselves completely in each other's embrace. After some time, Rehaan gently separated Maya from himself.
Rehaan "Let's go Maya. It's late now."
Kamini was talking to a wolf in the jungle. The wolf told her that he tried to attack a vampire but he escaped. Kamini scolded him for doing so without her permission. She asked him to leave the place as soon as possible, as the vampires would try to find out who the wolf was. She asked him to wait for her orders, and not to return unless she asked him to.
Rehaan and Maya reached outside Maya's house. Maya was about to go inside after saying goodbye to Rehaan when he stopped her.
Rehaan "Maya I brought something for you. Wait a minute."
Rehaan brought a book from his car. He gave it to Maya and requested her to read it. Maya said she loves to read books and would surely read this one. They wished each other good night and Rehaan left from there.
At night, Maya was sitting on her bed. She looked at the book in her hand, which Rehaan gave her. She wondered why Rehaan gifted her a book on vampires. Still, she started reading it. After reading a few chapters, she felt the writer knew a lot about them. She kept reading the book and turned the pages. Suddenly she came across a chapter which was about the vampire king and queen. In the chapter, she read that the vampire king and queen's child is the strongest vampire. They have the powers which others don't have. No werewolf could kill such vampires. She found the book interesting and understood why Rehaan gave it to her. She understood Rehaan was trying to help her discover her special powers.
