Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Xiao Wu, You Don’t Want Tang San to Know You're a Soul Beast… Do You?

That's right! Ye Yu had saved his life—twice.

But just because he saved him... does that mean Tang San would've definitely died otherwise?

Not necessarily.

Tang San burned with anger.

He believed in repaying kindness, sure—but that didn't mean Ye Yu could use that debt to pressure or control him!

In fact, the more he thought about it, the more a chilling thought crept into his heart:

This Ye Yu has already earned the right to die.

And ironically, not because Ye Yu had wronged him—but because he'd saved him.

After all, as the saying went: a great favor is often treated as a great enemy.

Two life-saving debts. If Tang San couldn't repay them...

Then for someone like him—who built his reputation on being loyal and honorable—the only way to preserve his image...

Was to silence the one who saved him.

"Indeed! Lord Ye Yu has saved my life twice!" Tang San shouted, his voice full of righteous fury.

"But my teacher is like a father to me!"

"There's a saying—'A teacher for a day, a father for life!'"

"If I stand up for him, I'm only being filial. How is that wrong?!"

Faced with Ning Rongrong's accusation, Tang San tried to justify himself with lofty ideals about loyalty and filial piety.

But he forgot one very important thing:

This is the Douluo Continent.

Talk of "filial piety" and "a teacher is a second father"? That might work in some Confucian textbook, but not here.

The empires of Heaven Dou and Star Luo didn't run their nations on morality tales.

Ning Rongrong sneered. "A teacher is like a father? Never heard that before."

"Xiao Wu told me your mother died early, and your dad's a drunk."

"Sounds like you've got daddy issues, and you've been using that hypocritical fraud of a 'master' to fill the void."

"If you want a father figure, that's your business. But don't pretend it's something noble!"

That verbal slap hit harder than a Spirit Ability. Tang San's composure cracked instantly.

"You bitch!"

He lost it, pointing at Ning Rongrong and yelling in rage.

But the moment he insulted her, Ye Yu's expression turned icy.

In a blink, he was in front of Tang San. His gloved hand swung out—

SLAP.

A crisp, brutal sound rang out.

A red palm print bloomed across Tang San's face. His cheek caved in, his jaw dislocated, and his lips swelled like sausages. Several teeth flew from his mouth, splattered with blood.

He flew backward like a rag doll, crashing hard into the dirt.

"Xiao San!!"

Xiao Wu panicked and rushed over to him.

Ye Yu sneered coldly.

"Ungrateful brat."

"Back in the Star Dou Forest, both times I saved your life, it was mostly because of Rongrong's sake."

"And now? You can't even tell right from wrong, and you're blindly defending that shameless waste of a teacher?"

"Then you have the nerve to insult Rongrong?"

"You really are a fatherless, motherless little bastard!"

That last sentence stabbed straight into Tang San's heart like a knife.

"AHHH!!"

His eyes went bloodshot. His breathing grew ragged. Rage twisted his face—even if it was now lopsided and broken.

If he could still bite down properly, he might've torn through his own lip.

Ye Yu stood tall and calm, staring down at the two now-wrecked figures on the ground.

"You and your master," he said coldly, "really are cut from the same rotten cloth."

Not far away, Flender, Zhao Wuji, Dai Mubai, and Oscar watched everything unfold. None of them dared to speak up in Yu Xiaogang or Tang San's defense.

In fact, both Zhao Wuji and Oscar silently agreed:

They brought this on themselves.

Yu Xiaogang—arrogant and manipulative—had tried to play a genius like Ye Yu for a fool.

Tang San—forgetting kindness, returning grace with resentment.

They deserved each other.

Ye Yu narrowed his eyes.

To be honest, part of him wanted to kill them both right then and there.

But the image of Bibi Dong... and the Asura God... flickered through his mind.

Tang San still had value.

So Ye Yu took a deep breath and held himself back.

Still, letting them off with just a slap felt far too lenient.

Taking Xiao Wu in front of Tang San? Still not enough.

Then suddenly—he remembered the three disgusting creeps from earlier.

Three filthy thugs... paired with two shameless hypocrites…

What a perfect match.

Ye Yu grinned wickedly.

At that moment, Xiao Wu ran to Tang San and helped him up.

"Xiao San, are you okay?!"

"Eb-eh meh fee…"

Tang San could barely speak. His jaw was dislocated, his face swollen, several teeth missing. His words came out garbled and slurred.

Xiao Wu's heart ached just seeing him like that.

But before she could say more, Ye Yu strode forward and grabbed her.

"Come with me."

"Let me go! What do you think you're doing?!" she shouted, thrashing wildly.

She even tried to bite him.

Ye Yu didn't bother playing nice. He converted his Spirit Power into raw lightning—and shocked the rabbit senseless.

"AAAHHH!"

Xiao Wu's body convulsed violently. Her eyes rolled back, her hair stood on end, and she collapsed, twitching on the ground.

Ye Yu crouched down, grabbing her collar and lifting her up like a limp doll.

"Xiao Wu," he whispered in her ear, his voice cold and cruel, "I'd think twice about resisting again."

"Or would you rather Tang San finds out you're actually a hundred-thousand-year-old Soft-Boned Rabbit?"

The words hit like a thunderclap.

Xiao Wu jolted awake, eyes wide with horror.

How did Ye Yu know?! She had never told anyone her true identity!

But with no way to fight back—and no desire to let Tang San know what she really was—

Tears welled in her eyes as she looked at Ye Yu, voice trembling.

"Please… don't tell him."

"I'm begging you. Please."

"That depends entirely on how well you behave from now on," Ye Yu said softly, still smiling like a devil.

"Now be a good girl and come along."

"Rongrong. Zhuqing. We're leaving."
