Chapter 11 - • I Feel Sorry for This World! •

In the Silver Forest, a place that serves as a nest for strong and disgusting monsters, some people actually use it as a grinding location to level up. One of them is Kaizen, a young man who is currently focused on hunting these monsters.

*Wuush!*

A projectile whizzes from behind, nearly grazing his right ear. With a smooth, almost reflexive movement, Kaizen tilts his head without looking back.

"Yo, Kaizen! What level have you reached now?" A familiar voice can be heard from behind the trees.

Kaizen lets out a long sigh. "Attacking someone from behind is a cowardly act, you know?"

The figure of a young man with messy hair appears while twirling a black pistol in his right hand. Leyo, his classmate, grins without any guilt.

"Heeeh, I knew you could dodge it. Your reflexes aren't exactly newbie level," Leyo replies casually while putting his weapon into an invisible storage space.

"What's up? Why are you wandering around here? Shouldn't you be grinding too?" asks Kaizen while brushing dust from his clothes.

Leyo shrugs. "Bored, man. Besides, I've already reached level 100 now."

"Oh, really? So where are the others?" Kaizen asks while checking his inventory.

"I think they've all gone back to the hotel. Everyone's tired," answers Leyo while sitting on a large boulder.

"Hmm, okay."

Kaizen checks his own status:

This status system is something they received after coming to this world. Everyone has their own class. All this thanks to a mysterious woman named Sena who explained how this world works to them when they first arrived.

Leyo suddenly breaks the silence. "Hey, do you think he's also in this world?"

"Who do you mean?" Kaizen frowns.

"You know, what's his name... ah! Kazuki. Do you think he's also in this world?"

Kaizen shakes his head slowly. "How would I know? When we all arrived together with the other students, he wasn't among us. Most likely he's not in this world."

"But somehow I feel like he's somewhere in this world," Leyo mutters with a distant gaze. "But if he's really here... I feel sorry for this world. This place might just become a testing lab for him to test the limits of his power."

"What do you mean?"

"You know, right? All this time he's never known how far his powers extend. He's neither human nor monster. No one understands why he exists. Only one thing is certain—he exists because he simply exists. That's the only thing that can explain his existence."

Kaizen snorts. "The world's higher-ups must be happy if a creature like that no longer exists, right?"

"I don't know, I don't want to think too much about it. Whether he's in this world or not, it's not my business," Kaizen shrugs. "But if he really did end up here... all creatures in this world might vanish forever."

"You have a point," Leyo nods. "Only a fool would dare summon him to a world filled with strong monsters like this. But, according to my father, his power now has limitations. Whether that's true or not, I don't know."

Kaizen picks up his sword and stands. "Well, who cares about that, whether he has limits or not, it won't change anything."
