Chapter 7 - Chapter 6 Sweetheart

[Does the host wish to use the reward now?]

Reyhan glanced at the system screen floating before him.

"Hold on a sec, can't you see I'm busy?" he whispered quietly.

[Okay.]

The system responded briefly... its tone almost resigned.

Sylphia finally let go of her hug. She wiped her tears with the back of her hand.

"Why, Father?" she asked with an innocent smile, though her eyes were still slightly red.

Reyhan's heart felt like it had been pierced by a gentle arrow.

"Never thought… I'd have a daughter this sweet and beautiful."

"Father?" Sylphia repeated, tilting her head, confused at Reyhan's silence.

"Eh, it's nothing…" Reyhan smiled warmly. "…Sweetheart."

Sylphia's face immediately turned red. She looked down slightly and nervously played with the tip of her hair. That word… she had heard it before from Havil. But back then, it felt cold and threatening.

Now—from Reyhan's mouth—it felt warm. Like a blanket in the middle of a winter night.

'She's so shy… how adorable.' Reyhan chuckled to himself.

[DOES HOST NOT INTEND TO USE THE REWARD NOW?!]

This time, the system's tone was clearly more aggressive. Maybe it felt ignored?

Reyhan glanced at it with an amused smile.

'You jealous?'

[Negative. The system is not programmed to feel jealousy.]

'Come on, chill a bit…' Reyhan stifled a laugh. 'Alright, alright, don't get sulky.'

"Sweetheart."

"Yes, Father?" Sylphia responded with enthusiasm.

"Could you go over there for a bit?" Reyhan pointed southward.

Sylphia followed his gesture. "But there's nothing over there…?"

"Just trust me. Something will appear soon," he replied with a mysterious smile.

"Okay… but you're not going to leave me, right?"

"Of course not, sweetheart. I'd never leave my daughter."

"Alright then~ Sylphia believes you!" she chirped, then lightly jogged in that direction.

From time to time, she stopped and shouted, "Here?"

Reyhan nodded. "Yep, right there. Wait just a moment."

"Okay, Father!" she called out, waving her hand.

Reyhan returned the wave, then turned around.

"Alright, System. Show me what I can use."

He touched his chin, then pointed toward Sylphia's location.

[Constructing Altar of Origin… 23%]

A gentle wind began to stir around Sylphia. Glimmering green particles floated like spiritual fireflies, dancing in the air. Her silvery hair fluttered with the breeze.

"Eh… what's happening?" Sylphia murmured.

Beneath her feet, the once-blank ground began to sprout with lush earth. A sprout popped up with a soft plop—then rapidly grew into a glowing tree. Its leaves drifted like spring petals, and spiritual flowers blossomed all around it.

"WHOA! A TREE!! FATHER!! WAS THIS YOU!?" she shouted.

Reyhan chuckled. He answered through the system, using Voice of the Wind.

"Yes, sweetheart. It's a gift for you."

Sylphia beamed. "The tree... it just winked at me!? EH!? IS IT IN LOVE!?"

Reyhan stifled another laugh.

"This girl… if she had a normal life from the start, she would've been the light of the world."

Sylphia pouted. "Hmm… okay then! I'll talk with it later!"

Soon after, the ground beside the tree began to tremble. Light formed a magical circle. Stone structures slowly rose from the earth—white with wind-carved runes and slender pillars reaching toward the sky.

[Altar of Origin: 74%... 92%... 100%]

[Construction Complete]

Sylphia stared in awe, then glanced at Reyhan.

"FATHER!! THIS PLACE IS SO COOL!! CAN I NAME IT!?"

"Sure, as long as it's not too weird."

"OKAAAY! Then I'll name it... The Land of Father and Sylphia's Love!!"

Reyhan nearly choked on his own wind.

"Ehem. Okay... maybe we'll… consider another name later."

[Altar of Origin is now active. Next Spirit Contract gains +5% potential and +10% bond stability.]

[Absolute Dimension: Southern Area – Unlocked.]

Reyhan took a deep breath, then looked back at the ever-faithful system screen.

"Sylphia, wait just a bit longer, sweetheart."

"Yesss~" she called out, lying on the glowing grass, playing with the falling leaves.

Reyhan smiled, then said,

"Alright, System. Let's open the thing I'm most curious about. Open the Mystery Box now."

[Processing…]

[Opening Mystery Box…]

A black box with wind engravings slowly appeared mid-air. Then—click!—it opened like a classic RPG treasure chest. A dramatic glow of purple and blue spilled out, far too flashy for just two items.

[Mystery Box Contents:]

[Awaken Token x1]

A sacred token that allows one follower to awaken their true spirit.

[Disguise Mask – 'Whisper Veil' x1]

A semi-transparent mask that hides the wearer's true identity. Ideal for infiltration, disguise, or just looking mysterious.

[Congratulations! You received 2 rare items!]

Reyhan looked at the two items—a soft glowing crystal and an elegant mask. He smiled softly.

"Two gifts… and I already know who they're for."

[Optimal target: Sylphia Astheris. Sync potential: 99.7%]

Reyhan chuckled.

"You keep reading my mind, don't you?"

He spun the crystal in his fingers, glancing toward the altar where Sylphia sat.

"By the way, how do I use this?"

[Simply press it against the target's head.]

"Got it."

Without another word, Reyhan's body vanished into the wind.

FWOSHHH!

Between the altar and spirit tree, a sudden gust blew through. Sylphia, who was talking to the spiritual flowers, nearly toppled over.

"UWAAH—!"

Right then, Reyhan appeared behind her.

"Yo," he greeted casually, as if nothing had happened.

Sylphia instinctively jumped back, her face pale. "F-Father! Don't just appear like a ghost!"

"Wind-teleport reflex. Sorry. But… you know, if you were a ghost, you'd be the cutest ghost in history."

"Not funny!"

"It is. At least one of us laughed, and that's enough for me."

Reyhan chuckled softly, then knelt down, looking into Sylphia's eyes with a more serious gaze.

"I just need you to be still for a moment."

"Eh?"

Before she could ask anything, Reyhan pressed the token crystal to her forehead.

Immediately, blue-white light swirled around them. The air temperature dropped sharply. A light mist rolled out from the altar, blanketing their feet.

Reyhan's body froze.

[Freezing effect detected. Activating Emergency Spiritual Protection. Host, why do you always freeze at critical moments?]

The ice on Reyhan's body began to crack, then slowly melted away.

"Because I'm cool, bro," Reyhan said stiffly, shivering. "Seriously, it's so cold."

Suddenly, the altar beside Sylphia radiated a towering crystal light toward the sky. A vortex of wind and snowflakes formed... and then, a spear emerged at the center of the altar.

The spear was long—around 130 cm, nearly as tall as Sylphia.

The shaft made up half the spear, crafted from light blue crystal that looked like ice but was flexible and light. From the middle to the tip was a wide, sword-like blade that gleamed with a chilling light. Gentle streams of wind seemed to flow within it like veins.

As the spear floated down and landed in Sylphia's hands, the wind around them instantly calmed.

And in that moment... the spear breathed—ice particles and a thin breeze slowly circled the weapon, as if it were alive.

"She... she's alive..." Sylphia whispered, eyes wide. "Father... I can hear her voice. She says... her name is Glacivale."

[Confirmed. Sylphia's Spirit Activated: Glacivale Spear – Divine Weapon Spirit .]

[Shaft: Lightweight ice-crystal | Blade: Broad, sharp, frozen]

[Effect: Freezes surface within fractions of a second on contact]

[Sleep Mode: Disperses into ice-wind particles around the wielder]

[Passive: Blade tip freezes anything it touches]

[Potential: Evolves automatically with wielder's growth]

Sylphia hugged the spear tightly, her usually calm face now slightly flushed.

"I... don't know why, but I feel like she'll protect me. I'm... not alone anymore."

Reyhan watched her silently for a moment, then brought out the second item: a sleek mask.

"And this... is for when you leave the Absolute Dimension."

Sylphia raised an eyebrow. "A mask? For what?"

"Out there, he's still looking for you. And... that monster isn't dead yet." Reyhan's voice lowered. "This mask can hide your face, voice, even your spiritual scent. You can walk without being detected."

Sylphia slowly took the mask. It was slim, nearly transparent, with flowing patterns of frost and mist across its surface.

As she put it on, her aura immediately changed. Her energy became gentle, cold, and untraceable.

Sylphia turned with a dramatic flair, her voice deep and mysterious, "From now on... I am no one."

Reyhan paused… then slowly shook his head.

[Side effect: +20 confidence | +100 comedy.]

He took a deep breath, though his eyes remained warm.

"Well then, 'whoever you are'... let's prepare for what's next."

Sylphia slowly twirled her spear, watching the drifting ice-wind particles swirl gently. Her voice was soft yet steady, "Father... so, what's our next move?"

The wind around Reyhan suddenly stilled.

He fell silent, his expression turning deep. As if something was still unresolved.

"…Wait a moment."

In a flash, his body vanished in a swirl of air—almost soundless, leaving behind only a soft tremor that made the spirit tree's leaves rustle gently.

FWOSHH—

Reyhan reappeared in a quiet place, a few dozen meters from the main altar of the Absolute Dimension. Silent. Safe for thought.

"System," he said softly, "show me my status."
