Faced with that enigmatic presence, I feel something strange, the smile that goes beyond the mask, I feel that I must be careful, in the face of this silence, every little movement I make, he analyzes me, just by looking at that being I can say... he is not human.
"You don't need to be so alert, I just want to talk."
His voice was certainly that of a man, but my doubts have not ceased. I believe it to be false, even his appearance. Everything is too strange. Behind me, I see wooden chairs made with extreme care. I didn't even see them appear. I need more clues.
In an instant, the masked man is behind him, and in a short interval, Jack jumps and gains distance. The man sits in the chair, and then a table appears, the chairs adjust, glasses fill, and the man gestures for Jack to sit down. Even with suspicion, he sits down. That man... he couldn't read his mind.
"From the beginning, you just wanted to get me out of the picture, after all, my power can leave you in a terrible state."
The man in front of me didn't show the slightest reaction to my provocation, he just stirred his tea with his spoon. The darkness makes me anxious, the only thing I can see in this room is this man in front of me.
"Jack, your power is too valuable to lose."
The man calmly stirs his tea nonstop while watching the spiral form. The tea reflects Jack's reflection. He places the cup on the middle of the table and stares into Jack's eyes.
"I'll say this only once: abandon your humanity and come to our side, Jack."
Faced with this proposal, Jack's eyes widen as if ready to pierce the masked man's body, his muscles contract, his veins dilate with enormous murderous intent. Enormous pressure emanates from the masked man's body, exerting itself on Jack's murderous intent.
"Sir Jack, if you don't want to lose an arm... stop this shit."
Even though he didn't want to, Jack found himself forced to obey. He crossed his arms and stared at the man with a look of resentment.
"I refuse."
His voice tried to hide it, but it was clear that he was very angry at the proposal. The masked man stands up and begins to walk, and wherever he steps, the ground glows. the dark place began to fill with color, and where the man passed, nature flourished, with plants, flowers, and even mutations where the vegetation grew long and came close to his face as if it wanted to nestle against his cheek. Jack, distressed, asked himself, "What the hell?" The silence in that room ended when the man turned to Jack.
"You know, I really wanted a peaceful conversation. Let's do this, you have two options, either you join us willingly... or unwillingly."
Jack starts laughing, his laughter was contagious, but the masked man shows no reaction, just observes the situation, the laughter did not stop, tears fell from laughing so much, he used his fingers to wipe away the tears.
"Apparently you're doubting me, so..." Jack interrupts the man.
"Enough pretending, you're not the killer I'm looking for."
At this statement, the man's body shakes slightly. Jack stands up and starts walking towards the man, stopping right in front of him.
"Ha, do you really think this is a joke?" Allow me," Jack interrupts him once again.
"Arthur, he's the real killer, you're just one of his followers, aren't you?"
After this assertion, the man puts his hand on his mask and starts laughing. He then removes his mask, revealing his sharp teeth and long hair. The two stand facing each other.
"You're more interesting than I thought, but now what? You found out who I am, what are you going to do? You're stuck with me."
Jack takes something out of his pants pocket, a small device with a button. He presses it and a large screen opens, revealing a real-time video showing Arthur sitting outside a coffee shop, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. A voice comes out of the device.
"Sir, what are your orders?"
"Just wait for my command."
Jack's mocking smile, which shows the confidence he has already gained, is evident. The man tilts his head slightly to the left and gives a brief smile.
